Lockdown treat! Well curated sandwiches. Got the beef cheek, which was tender, sliced thin and pan Fried. Paired real nice with the pesto and mozarella and served between a crusty warm baguette. The napoli sauce basically a sugo was a fun extra but not necessary as it was overpowering. The best part is that you can enjoy this sandwich and go about your day, unlike other sandwich shops which are so buttery and greasy it knocks you out after.

That was the best sandwich/baguette I’ve ever had. The beef cheek baguette comes with Napoli sauce and got some pomme frites on the side. $18 or $30 with a glass of wine. The beef was really tender, the baguette was somewhat hard and crispy with great sourdough flavour and the pesto sauce compliments really well. The French fries were crispy and compliment the baguette well. The orange wine as well is a must try.

A really nice and sleek cafe that’s perfect for a date or fancy β€œevery now and then” work lunch. We had the beef cheeks sandwich and it was straight fire πŸ”₯! The bread is super crispy on the outside but is soft and gives way to the ultra tender beef cheeks that sits in the middle. Perfect for dipping into that tomato dip they have! For 25 bucks it’s on the pricey end but well worth the experience! Would come again

Good coffee, with a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from and cakes, you can't look past the cakes. The service is spot on too, with the wait staff carefully placing the cake into the box because she "didn't want to squish and ruin it". People like her deserve the credit and recognition, as I've had my fair share of devil-may-care wait staff. Anyway, the carrot cake was amazing. It's beautifully moist, with pecans inside and the cream is the perfect balance of tang, sweetness and creaminess.

Beef Cheek, Mozzarella, Pesto, Napoli Dip, Beef Cheek, Mozzarella, Pesto, Napoli Dip. As you can tell, I had a really nice lunch at Greta. A beautiful little spot smack bang in the CBD, sitting outside in the skyscraper shade with a nice glass of wine and a incredibly tasty sandwich is the way to do it. Book in hand or over conversation. Do recommend!

Food was absolutely amazing! Service was ok. No bathrooms on site so no where to wash your hands prior to eating which is a good idea esp given how rampant covid and the flu is atm. Booking a table requires you to spend a minimum of $25 pp

Cute spot away from the bustle. Nice, right selection of wines and nibbles. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. It was a 'spur of the moment' Friday drinks and Great made it special. Will definitely be back!

Greta serves up some of the best sandwiches in Melbourne. During lockdown periods, they sell their sandwiches at Mayday cafe over the weekends. My favourite is their crumbed rockling fish fillet sandwich burger, but the other sandwiches like roast chicken, eggplant, beef cheeks with Napoli dip are all worthy of trying.

I had a porchetta sandwich and chocolate torte take away. Loved the chocolate torte that came with a side of cream that tasted like coconut-y. It was so decadent. Porchetta roll was nice too, I wish there was more acidity maybe in the form of mustard, radish. Will be back to get coffee, friendly service and nice ambience.

Coffee was 10/10, I wouldn't say it was the best one I've had, but it's very unique, aromatic, and full of flavour. They use some of the best beans in Melbourne. We had sardines and the beef cheek sandwich. The Napoli dip served with the beef sandwich was phenomenal, the sardines were good too. Definitely recommended popping by for coffee, food, and drinks specials

I've never been served baguette slices fried in olive oil as the "toast" part of "toasted baguette with jam". I still have the taste in my mouth... not in a good way! I will say the staff are lovely and the coffee is very good - so if that's all you want, you're onto a winner.

Went here for lunch on a Wednesday and they were able to seat us for an hour without a booking. This is not a casual dining place – STRONGLY recommend making a reservation so you don’t feel rushed like we did. We were seated in the right corner which was dark and close to the kitchen so could hear the sound of clashing cutlery for most of the meal. The food itself was delicious! Kudos to the chefs. Between two adults we shared a chicken schnitzel and the chicken pasta special. Pasta was al dente and chicken schnitty was huge and succulent. The wine selection is also divine - the Pinot Noir was a great way to wash the pasta down. Will go back to try the other dishes and coffee but again, make a booking.

Stopped by for drinks and snacks during happy hours. Had focaccia and warm olives, and it was so good

Ordered the beef cheek baguette. Was surprised that all ingredients were rather flavourless, and beef was a bit dry. Weirdly the baguette itself was microwaved. It sort of get like one of those dishes where they knew how to make it look right but not how to make it taste right. For $26 I expected much more, you can get a far better sandwich for $18 in many places around Melbourne.

I only had the beef cheek baguette, however I have to say it is definitely in the top 5 best baguettes I’ve ever had. The bread was fluffy and did not destroy the roof of your mouth while eating it. The beef cheek was tender and juicy, and it comes with a dipping sauce on the side, which makes the flavours burst in your mouth. At the time of this review it was $26 for the beef cheek Baguette.

Genuinely a fantastic meal! The portions were pretty big so great for sharing. The schnitzel was the best I’ve ever had, and the Caesar was tremendous. Pasta of the day was solid as well! The service was also very pleasant and I love how the staff check in on you during your meal. Overall would def recommend and will be back!

A restaurant in the CBD frequented by workers around the area, open only during the weekdays with dinner services on Thursday and Friday. Dined here and ordered the following: - Flat white; pretty good coffee but a little milky - Fromage croquette; lightly salted and perfectly crispy with a very tasty and creamy cheese filling - Beef cheek sandwich with mozzarella, pesto and a side of napoli dip; baguette had a nice crunch and was not tough; meat was tender and the napoli dip was slightly tangy, adding another dimension of flavour to the sandwich Overall good meal and service; would be great if there was a little bit more beef cheek in the sandwich. Highlight was the fromage croquette.

Excellent experience here a few weeks ago, coffee is very good but the cake (Citrus Bint) was exceptional. Will definitely go back to the hidden little gem. The food menu looks short but delightful.

Amazing place. The owner served us and I asked which sandwich to go for and he said they are all his favourites. I had a bite of my friends' sandwiches as well as my own and can confirm all are delicious. Yuumyuum
