I doubt many people move their spouse from one aged care facility to another due to concerns about their care, but I made that difficult decision and moved my husband to SVCS @ Eltham. I have no regrets. The facility manager soon realised my husband was even sicker than I suspected and took immediate action. While he was in hospital, he was visited several times by a staff member and his progress was monitored so the facility could be prepared for him when he was discharged. On his return from hospital, the care was, and continues to be, excellent. The facility is very well managed, I have found feedback to be well received and acted upon, and there is a high level of cleanliness. I can't describe the relief.

I live here in St Vincent's Care, in independent living. All I can say is they don't "care" it badly managed.

Thank you for looking after my father during a difficult time. You were patient and kind throughout his time there and we will always be appreciative of the support you gave the family when he passed away.

My mum is in a one bedroom flat on site, no complaints at all, her neighbours are very friendly as well. Plenty of trees and grassland and also 10 minute shuffle to the train station, also shops woyhin walking distance.

Beautiful facility. Warm garden areas. Staff are very hard-working, warm and friendly. Residents are all seemingly happy and well-cared for. The facility is a little old, but stands as a testimony for good will. Clean, friendly home environment.

We were really worried when our Mum had to move in to aged care, especially since it was in the middle of Covid! Sadly it was too hard for her to continue living at home alone following a fall and subsequent surgery and delirium. Right from our original contact to check room availabilities, we were treated with kindness and understanding. Her room is lovely with a comfortable hospital type bed and ensuite. It looks out into a little courtyard with roses at her window. The staff I’ve dealt with are kind and courteous to Mum and keep us up to date and informed of her care plan and any changes that may occur. The buildings are a little tired looking from outside and lots of empty buildings as you enter the driveway now sadly. Mum is in Willandra and they do the best they can with new carpets and paintwork and furnishings etc. The care staff, activity staff, cleaners, cooks, laundry and reception are all friendly, experienced and easy to approach and talk to and that is paramount in a care facility in my opinion. The food is lovely and cooked on site so it’s usually very fresh and served hot. They have entertainers and visiting pets etc and plenty of activities daily to keep everyone entertained as much as possible. They even have chickens and a big veggie patch cared for by one of the residents. I think the staff work well as a team and do their best to keep everyone safe and cared for.
