Located behind of Central Park mall with outdoor sitting. Access through small lane. Light decorated around the area and busy in dinner time. All the food stalls are Asian cuisine. I'd tried some of the food from each stall randomly, the food mostly tasted average, could say low quality fast food. Price is consider pricey, small amount in takeaway plate for dine in/TA as well. I would prefer having meal in other cafe/restaurant next time.

How good is this place?! Asian street food vibes all the way. We had fun exploring the different vendors. Seating can be a problem and at peak times you wait. But well worth it

Great fun, this hidden street is all about the atmosphere and the feeling of Asian Street food. It's great fun for something different. The food is a teeny bit expensive and the food was ok, it was certainly decent with drinks being super expensive but not complaining, I would definitely visit again, keen to try out all of the different cuisines. Definitely worth a visit

Spice Alley is more about the quirky outdoor experience rather than the food. I’s been designed to be a surprise; tucked away and hidden from the public view; clever and enticing. Satisfies those of us who miss the raw Asian street food culture.

The atmosphere was very nice, there is a wide range of options you can choose from! Different cuisines, the food hits when your craving it and it taste soo good when you eat it while its hot!!! And there was a lot of seating to choose from, the wait for each food took around 10 minutes, staff were friendly. But the aesthetics and vibes are so worth it!! Definitely recommend this place to go with friends. And the dumplings, ARE A MUST GET.

Out and about with a break in the weather, been a while since my partner and I had Asian food so headed out to Spice Alley in Sydney. Lot of vendors to choose from, food options clearly displayed and priced. Value for money and delicious. Drink bar available as well. This is a top spot for a mix of different foods.

A little outdoor dining space that houses a wide selection of Asian food options. It's away from the main street, so do look out for the street art guiding you behind to where the space is. Each cuisine, having their own stall, but you're able to sit all around and buy from all around, like that of a typical food hall. Is it authentic: nothing compared to the real deals back home, unfortunately; but good enough.

Great place to come for feasting with friends & family, especially if you want to take your time & stagger the eating. We had the best time just sharing a few things at a time between the 3 of us. Parking is tricky though, so allow time if you drive. Easier to train it to Central Station - short walk only then. The Thai & Malaysian/Singaporean options were what we tried. There were ice creams for desert which unfortunately had sold out by the time we got there. But we did enjoy our mango & sticky rice - I had to take a very quick snap before my nephew & niece dived in!

I accidentally stumbled upon this place, and now I come back everyday. In truth I was looking for a place that was open for an early lunch (before 11am) and google kept trying to send me here. In retrospect there are big signs in front of the alleyways that lead to Spice Alley. In my defense, some of the alley ways are less than half a metre wide. Spice Alley consists of multiple spice / Asian / fusion restaurants. There are not many asian influenced cuisines one cannot find here. All restaurants are competitively priced and really could not exist in here for long if they were not at the top of their game in sourcing produce, cheffing and delivery. I absolutely loved the melting pot of restaurants and people here. The atmosphere was fantastic lunch through dinner. This is a must visit Sydney experience!

Hidden gem ! Absolutely fantastic selection of Asian food. All the restaurants in here have excellent food... There's enough seating in front of each of these stalls. There's a cute little bar at one end that does almost all of Oriental beers... The decor and the way it's all done up is pretty cool

Our son took us to Spice Alley today. We went at 12 on a Wednesday in July, and it was quiet so easy to walk round and look at all the varied and mouth watering choices. We went to Alex Lee and had the crispy chicken with noodles and a spicy coconut sauce that was amazing. It tasted like a family dish my grandmother used to make from Burma. I would highly recommend a trip to this gem of a place in Sydney

(Translated by Google) From appetizers to desserts, foods from all over Asia are gathered and there is not much attraction except that it creates an unusual atmosphere. There is no outstanding restaurant except KOI while promoting it as a restaurant street. Even if you eat some dishes and desserts like 3 basic courses, it costs about 40-50 dollars. The atmosphere is good but the taste...

4.5 Stars. Love the concept and the food is great, but just doesn't hit the spot the same way that streetside food does in Asia. The artistic decor reminds me of Penang and almost feels as though you've been transported to another part of the world! Definitely worth a visit :)

Spice Alley is a little gem with many good value Asian eateries including Malaysian, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Italian, bars, dessert bars and more. Authentic food and great atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Great place to eat Asian street food in the heart of Sydney.

  • 4/5 Titus 2 years ago on Google
Very decent food if you know what to order, bad if you don’t. On my good trip I tried the watanhor, an extremely underrated dish that I don’t see anyone else ordering which is a shame. The Malay style fried chicken was also very good, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Dry wanton noodles were alright, the dark sauce was not authentic but texture was good. On my bad trip I ordered the crispy noodles, neither the texture or taste was good. Ended up not finishing it.

Awesome place to eat Asian food. Variety options available and I had one of the best Singapore noodle. Also you can by some alcohol the bar opposite and sit in spice alley. Highly recommended the middle shop in Alley

This is a great little dining area. Plenty of options and it’s all really good. Great way to feed a group and sample a few different styles of dishes. Definitely worth popping in for a really good meal.

Spice ally is the place to go for some amazing authentic Asian cuisine. So many different dishes to choose from, from a wide variety of restaurants. Love this place and you will too!

Lovely asian style environment with many delicious food cuisines 👌❤

  • 3/5 WS C. 2 years ago on Google
Nice ambience and pretty decor of small latterns like little Chinatown alley. The selling point is you can get most of the Asian food here, a great variety or rice, noodle or roti to choose from. However, this place is so crowded during dinner time on weekday, hardly have space to walk. I ordered dried wonton noodle and it was below par.

The Asian Hawker style lane way is an awesome dining experience. I absolutely love the quirky artwork that is throughout the Eatery. There's a good variety of Asian style hawker stalls. However I do find that the portions sizes are quite small for the prices paid. I was quite disappointed with the quality of food as it feels as though they just want to get the food out the door.

  • 5/5 edelicious b. 2 years ago on Google
My go-to place for a taste of Asia in Sydney.. Much like a food court but set up like an alley full of colourful display of food. Cool ambiance and great hawker-style food. Difficult to find a table during busy time.

  • 5/5 Trang L. 2 years ago on Google
Great selection of Asian hawker style street foods, ranging from Singapore, Malaysia, Thai, Japan, etc. All stalls are cashless and they have two separate stalls selling drinks and alcohols. Plenty of table and seatings and good vibe overall.

Spice Alley is a great hide away in the back streets of Chippendale. Cleverly created eatery contains a whole street of restaurant/street food vendors from a variety of different cuisines including Japanese, Singaporean, Chinese, Indian and Malaysian (& others). You can grab your food from any vendor and find a table somewhere along the street meaning if you go with others, you can all choose to eat from the different cuisines available but all sit together to enjoy!

  • 5/5 es L. 2 years ago on Google
Our surprise find in central Sydney - a little gem tucked behind the alleys. There are a variety of Asian street food available here. Self service, buy from the counter and get your own food delivered. The lantern decorations and wall arts depict the wonders of Asian and their cuisines. Prices are reasonable too.

  • 5/5 MaFe M. 10 months ago on Google
Love, love, love. Plenty of options to choose from, and plenty is sitting as well. Food was really good too. Tried food from two different places and both were delicious.

  • 5/5 Paolo B. 2 years ago on Google
Such a great dining concept. Good range of Asian food stalls, mostly Malaysian and Thai, though there were some other options too. Family tried a few different things including roti and curry, laksa and seafood chow mein. Roti and curry was our favourite. Plenty of tables when we went on a Saturday night for dinner. Worth a visit here. We will be back.

Food was ok but I got food poisoning after, also they don’t accept cash card only and surcharge. By Australian law they cannot not accept cash. This is another place for international student to waste their money. There’s better food across the road with better service and better pricing. Portions are also very small, not worth the price. It is a nice Instagram spot though so 1 star for that.

This place is a gem, we stumbled upon it whilst walking around the area in the evening and following the lights. Beautiful spot as the sun goes down, great atmosphere with loads of different stalls to satisfy your cravings. It’s essentially an Asian food court built around an old Victorian street with Japanese, Thai, malaysian cuisine. It’s BYOB so if you fancy alcohol you can bring your own otherwise there’s a few nice bars in the other side.

Hey there foodies! If you're looking for a food adventure in Sydney, look no further than Spice Alley! This alleyway is home to a variety of Asian cuisines, from Vietnamese street food to Singaporean delights. I recently had the pleasure of taking a food tour of Spice Alley, and I was blown away! The tour started with Vietnamese delights, followed by Singaporean specialties, Malay roti and curry, and pad thai. But the star of the show was definitely the ramen. I couldn't stop slurping up those delicious noodles! Spice Alley is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends and family. The atmosphere is lively and fun, and the food is simply amazing. I highly recommend checking it out! Special thanks to manager Babin for guiding me and my friends on this culinary journey. He was super knowledgeable about the food and the area, and he helped us choose the perfect dishes. Thanks, Babin! If you're looking for a unique and delicious dining experience, be sure to check out Spice Alley. You won't be disappointed!

My partner - from Sydney - had never heard of spice Alley. So her delight at both its location and the quality of the food made our meal even more enjoyable. Great Asian food, variety and atmosphere make it a lovely experience. Bonus celebrity spotting - Sparks’ Mael brothers were sitting next to us, largely unnoticed in the Sydney throng. They seemed to be enjoying the food as well.

Came here on recommendation from a friend. The atmosphere is nice but the food is pretty much the same that you can get from any half decent Asian takeaway or food court. Recommend to look around but nothing special.
