Cool experience. It's a bit of a long tour (1.15 hr) so you should definitely plan ahead. Try to go when it has been dried for a few days so you get the full boat experience as well (the first time we went, I guess the caves were flooded so no boat ride). Also, don't forget to bring a sweater. It gets chilly inside the caves.

Very beautiful natural caves but not my cup of tea. Understand they can't control the water levels, and the boat part is water level dependant. But how is the cost still the same if you don't get to do the boat trip part???? The whole experience needs a shake-up and revamp.

This was a fantastic unexpected trip, on the day we planned to do the Stairway to Heaven the weather pushed us inside and we're delighted it did. The caves are definitely 110% worth a visit, you won't be disappointed!! Due to the weather and time of year we were lucky enough to end up with just the 2 of us on our tour and our guide Chris couldn't have been better. He literally knows the caves inside out and was full of knowledge about the history of them and the area. If you're near definitely go!! There's a gift shop, information on the history of the caves and cafe inside to check out before or after too. Fantastic spot!

Wonderful experience and lovely tour guide- Chris I think was his name. Very funny and informative. He made the tour super interesting! Some families on the tour with children who were shouting a lot so we had to make sure we were always close to the tour guide to hear what he was saying. Other than that was a great experience!

Great guided tour and gorgeous countryside. While the tour is shortened because of the pandemic (and only 10 per tour allowed) the guides are super excited to be back to work and answering all our mundane questions. Note that the small tours leave every 15 minuted but it means that they fill up fast and you have to plan ahead (book tickets on website if you can). Be prepared for about 150 stairs - and the natural damp of the cave. Otherwise, bring a camera and maybe a good flashlight for even better photos.

Please visit this!! We did not book in advance but phoned to check if needed to. We did not spend much time in the cafe/information area or gift shop as we only had a 15 minute wait but the caves are stunning. I have not heard all these caving terms before and the explanations were all clear. Lots of walking but that's all good. Mind blowing to think it was discovered by those with basic tools!

A must-see... jaw dropping experience. I have booked the tickets online. There was ample car park space. There was a cafe (very good sandwiches/coffee & toilet. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was so much of information displayed in the centre before you enter the cave. There was also a theatre which explains well of this geopark. Upon entering the cave there is a water-body, a boat is used of this. Travelling in the boat inside the cave was a wonderful experience. We spent nearly 75 minutes inside the cave. Our guide explained the cave formation very much in detail. Please note the cave maintains an average temp of 10°C all throughout the year. Will highly recommend

We had a great time at Marble Arch caves. Our guide Jordan was excellent. He said the boat tours should be returning soon. We enjoyed the short walk from the visitors centre too. Lovely cafe. A great day out and everyone was very friendly.

A very nice place to visit, it's a must if you are in the area. Full guided tour that lasts 75mins cost for adults 13.50 pounds. It is well worth it, because the tour starts with the boat ride through the underground river that lasts around 10 mins. After that it's a nice walk through the caves to see thousand year old rock formations. All overall recommended spot for the family.

Very informative guides who had patience enough to answer what seemed like the same question from various pupils that I was with. A well lit area, and although it was dark in there, there were lights to see the stalactites.

Fantastic caves. Quite a few steps but they're not all in one go and there's no need to rush. Guided tour (our guide was Ben an he was great). Well lit and no lights out moment for those scared of the dark (double check though before booking, if that's an issue for you). We couldn't do the boat ride because of the covid restrictions but that didn't spoil the experience. I'm not posting the best pics as to not spoil it for folks.

Beautiful experience of nature's hidden treasures. Book your visit in advance. Car parking is abundant. You will be climbing 150 steps down, walk about 1 kilometre and climb back 150 steps. Kindly be cognizant of this if you experience mobility issues. There is a cafe available onsite for quick bites and coffee. Gift shop prices are decent.

We weren’t able to take the boat ride as it was rainy but it was still educational. Recommend it.

Second longest cave creations in Ireland and in my opinion has the most unique calcium formations. Ps if you visiting this place and that main thing is boath. trip give them a call before you go. Because vatter level might be insufficient for that and you Will get only walking tour. Witch is still good! Anyway wort to visit or bring your friends.

Great thing to do with kids, especially on a bD day as it's mostly underground. very interesting place and a well run facility... couldn't do the boat ride because its impossible to social distance and some of the above ground walk ways were closed off (outside of the operators control) hopefully more stuff will be open in the spring / summer.. even with the closures we still had lots of fun.

An interesting thing to do. Very well put together visitor experience. Worth the £10 per adult for the hour long guided tour. Would like to go again to experience the boat ride into the caves when Covid restrictions are lifted on them. Enjoyed the fun facts we learned and an hour was a perfect time to spend down there. Not as cold as I thought they might be though we were well wrapped up with hats and gloves. Beautiful caves with plenty of stalactites and some stalagmites many of which have been given fun names. (No spoilers though- take the tour!)

  • 4/5 Bobby B. 2 years ago on Google
Fantastic to see the caves but would have been better if you got more time for photos. Seemed a bit rushed through the tour. But fantastic place. There is steps leading down into the caves with handrails for support . if you need to get a breather on the way back out say to the guide and he’ll be fine with that. Entrance fee is £10. Take a light jacket with you for it can get cold walking through the caves.

Had a great trip here today. Guided by Tomas he was brilliant especially with the children. Very knowledgeable and kept everyone entertained and educated. Brilliant end to the summer holidays. Very professional staff. Thanks for a memorable day for all

Very nice show caves. There is a quick boat trip at the start of the caves for access, but the rest of the route is by foot. The only challenging bit is the steps at the end, but this is not too severe. Our guide was gareth, who was knowledgeable and polite during the tour. There is a gift shop, toilets and a reasonably priced small cafe on site. Car parking is free also.

Amazing cave! Definitely in my top 3 attractions in Northern Ireland. Modern visitor center with friendly staff members, easy online ticket booking, great guide, interesting boat and walking tour through the cave. I totally recommend the cave! In case of a bad weather forecast, you might want to consult them in advance to check which parts of the tour will still be possible.

A blast to the past with this nostalgic visit. Used to visit this alot as a kid and was nice to revisit the caves. Such a phenomenal sight. Tour guide was lovely and very informative, knew her information about the caves and really funny 😊

Our tour guide Niamh was very knowledgeable. The caves were lovely and cool 10 degrees. We took a boat trip which was probably the highlight of this for me as I am aware some people don’t get to experience it as it depends on the water levels. I bought tickets online which I recommend. There is a cafe and a souvenir shop as well as a vending machine selling fizzy drinks. I recommend arriving early enough to enjoy a cup of coffee or even to stroll around before the tour starts.

Nice outing for a family during weekend also good place to visit to learn something about caves and some geological history. I went there with my kids and they enjoyed the walk inside the caves. Unfortunately I couldn’t make to the boat ride due to the weather conditions.

Good wee trip for a day out over the holidays! Beautiful scenery and very informative guides, Sean in particular got a good few laughs out of my tour group as our guide. Unfortunately, the boat portion of the tour was unavailable due to high water levels, but we were informed of this in advance and were provided a partial refund on the cost of our admission. The visitor centre feels a bit small, and I was also disappointed by the lack of actual souvenirs, magnets being the most to bear the name of the caves. This being said, there least a fair amount of interesting facts about the geological past of the Marble Arch Caves available! However, this is mostly made up for by the stunning cave formations - stalactites galore! The history of caving expeditions is also quite interesting to hear, as is the explanations of the geological past of the caves. I would say, the amount of steps are unsuitable to the elderly or physically disabled, and most of the floor surfaces in the cave are wet. Overall, a postive experience, and a good way to get out for the day! Would recommend to families of bored children, and anyone with an interest in geology!

So glad we eventually went to the Marble Arch caves. There is ample parking a coffee shop and snacks. Also a souvenir shop. The tour took about 70 minutes. Our guide Cara was very knowledgeable and friendly. We booked online which saved a few pounds. Highly recommended.

Was looking for something to do midway(ish) between Belfast and Galway. We bought tickets well ahead of time. Arrive 30 minutes ahead of your tour time. Tour size was around 16-20 people. I intentionally didn’t do a great deal of research and I was pleasantly surprised how good it was.

  • 5/5 Pamela C. 9 months ago on Google
Victor was a fantastic guide and led our group through the caves really well! Even though the boat couldn't run because of the high water levels, the walking tour was fabulous and it still felt like we got the complete Marble Arch experience! The expanse of the underground caves was impressive, and the tour was really beautiful along the underground river, as well as the stalactites and stalagmites everywhere you looked.... definitely worth the visit! A great day out and well worth the drive! Thank you!

I visited this place about 10 years ago in the summer time. It was brilliant. I decided to revisit again in October this year. Unfortunately half of the cave was closed due to high water level (rainfall). It is nice place with plenty geo natural history. I'm planning to go back next year. I hope it will be better. The place is on UNESCO list

The staff were lovely friendly and helpful. The caves are amazing and definitely worth a visit. If it has been raining the staff will phone you to let you know if the visit can go ahead and let you know if the visit has to be shortened...they then reduce the cost. The surrounding walks by the river are completely amazing as well, very beautiful and picturesque

(Translated by Google) Just beautiful. Be sure to look if you are around there. Unfortunately we had the bad luck, that was flood and so we could not with the boat through the cave. There are many stairs to take, so it's not for people who have difficulty walking or asthma. The guide was very interesting and I was really impressed. I will not post many photos of the interior of the cave, because you should look at it yourself.

(Translated by Google) A cave in private hands. It is not a worldwide known cave. Each guide is decorated with beautiful stories and our friendly company gives you the feeling that you are experiencing the narrative. The cave also has small angles that want to be discovered. Attention is drawn to the history and structures of the vaults. I had 1,90m size a bit problems with the entry. There are many caves. It is a small fine representative of it. (Original) Eine Höhle in privater Hand.
