Alfonso's is probably the top authentic Mexican food you can get in Colorado Springs, like 1/2 notch above Monica's Taco (which is also excellent). Now what does authentic mean? Not texmex. For that see Hacienda Colorado or Chuy's. Not hipster. For that try Torchys on the north side. All of those other restaurants listed are great, but are also not authentic. Had to be said. Lol Just order a burrito of choice, green and red sauce and you're welcome. I was noticing people ordering obscure items and complaining about it not being what they were imagining. Stick to the basics and you cannot go wrong, and use the sauces, it should be a requirement to eat there.** If the sauces are too much spice for you, maybe stick with Taco Bell, or whatever they serve at Golden Corral from now on sport. I love their breakfast and lunch/dinner burritos. They have other items that are great too, but those burritos keep me coming back when I'm over on that side of town off highway 24. Give it a go if you're the type of person that actually likes the real deal Mexican food.

Food is Arizona inspired. They're take on a California burrito was tasty. Pico was grilled which was good but made it taste more like a fajita. Meat was tender. Taquitos were excellent and quesadilla was basic. I'm usually a green hot sauce fan, their's is decent. However, their red hot sauce was amazing.

Tried this place for the first time. The food was delicious. We got some rolled tacos, the Monster burrito and the Loko burrito. I personally loved the Loko burrito, and it was huge! On the screen you can't see the price of those two though, and they are $13. Overall it was a bit too expensive for Mexican food and I would go back only if I'm really craving rolled tacos inside a burrito.

Burrito taste amazing! Great service and all. Only reason they are getting 4 stars is because it really drain me after eating it, I had no energy which is mostly cause with low quality meat.

I had a bean and cheese burrito. It was pretty tasty. I think the ratio of bean to cheese to tortilla is a little bit off; id prefer less bean and more cheese. But overall yummy

I come her all the time always get the same thing shredded beef tacos and or carne asada frys but with beef first i almost broke a tooth biting into the taco thats so disgusting was gonna let that go but the other stuff I bought was old sour tasting not to mention not what I ordered and rock hard like the taco waste of money couldnt eat any of it hope that I do not get sick

Your food is so amazing, we have been going there for years. Tonight in drive thru was taking longer than usual which is understandable but the kids working behind the register didn't even bother to acknowledge me waiting at the window to tell me why it was taking longer than usual . They never opened the window so I waited about 20 min or more and drove off. Your food is so good I'd hate for you to lose business because of kids working at night that don't seem to care about your customers.
