I
HATE
THIS
PLACE.
I'm
incredibly
traumatized
from
my
experience
here.
They
gave
me
two
benzos
at
once
to
dope
me
up
and
keep
me
compliant
upon
my
arrival.
They
prescribed
me
a
medication
with
a
side
effect
which
could
have
caused
me
to
have
more
seizures
due
to
my
preexisting
medical
condition
-
a
condition
I
explained
repeatedly
to
every
nurse
and
doctor.
It
seemed
like
no
one
took
me
seriously
or
looked
this
condition
up
think
about
the
interactions
it
could
have
with
the
side
effect
of
the
med.
I
refused
this
medication,
but
they
ended
up
overdosing
me
on
an
a
different
medication
which
gave
me
a
seizure
anyway.
They
kept
increasing
my
dose
of
it,
and
eventually,
at
a
very
high
dose,
it
caused
me
the
seizure
I
had.
When
I
couldn't
stop
twitching,
yet
could
explain
my
situation,
a
nurse
told
me
that
"I've
never
seen
a
seizure
where
someone
could
talk
before,"
as
if
to
suggest
I
was
faking
it.
I
asked
for
an
MRI
multiple
times
throughout
my
stay,
as
I
was
afraid
one
of
my
cavernomas
might
be
bleeding,
but
even
after
the
large
seizure
the
medications
caused,
they
wouldn't
let
me
go
to
the
ACTUAL
hospital
across
the
parking
lot
to
get
an
emergency
MRI.
The
excuse
the
aforementioned
discrediting
nurse
gave
me
for
this
was,
"there
wouldn't
even
be
anyone
over
there
to
operate
the
MRI
machine."
Doesn't
she
know
how
hospitals
work
and
that
technicians
are
often
on
call???
She
should
be
fired
for
incompetence
and
lack
of
medical
knowledge.
She
made
me
feel
very
unsafe
and
not
listened
to
in
a
very
frightful
moment.
The
seizure
even
started
generalizing
and
getting
worse
before
they
just
patched
up
their
mistake
by
giving
me
more
meds.
They
held
me
for
far
longer
than
they
needed
to
because
I
had
insurance,
despite
the
fact
that
I
had
demonstrated
I
had
clear
support
networks
with
parents,
friends,
and
a
therapist
should
I
be
released.
On
the
other
hand,
they
let
homeless
people
clearly
still
in
the
throes
of
mania,
psychosis,
and
suicidal
episodes
go
because
their
3-day
hold
was
up
and
they
couldn't
pay.
They
used
every
excuse
in
the
book
to
keep
holding
me
and
other
patients
with
insurance.
They
didn't
have
OSHA-compliant
bathrooms,
as
only
one
of
them
in
my
entire
wing
was
set
up
as
a
disability-friendly
shower
with
a
bar.
The
patient
who
was
actually
physically
disabled
couldn't
use
it
because
it
was
in
the
women's
side
of
the
wing
and
he
was
male.
He
kept
slipping
and
falling
throughout
his
stay.
They
only
let
me
go
after
my
mom
called
the
police
on
them
when
I
called
her
having
a
seizure.
By
that
point,
another
patient
had
to
talk
for
me
because
I
couldn't
hold
the
phone.
Of
course,
the
police
can't
enter.
The
staff
kept
refusing
to
see
my
mom.
It
was
a
terrifying
place
to
be.
The
long-term
or
higher-up
staff
were
often
manipulative
and
put
words
in
my
mouth.
The
technicians
were
often
helpful
and
kind,
but
had
limited
power.
This
place
is
more
concerned
with
covering
themselves
legally
than
helping
people.
I
understand
there
are
not
enough
mental
health
resources
in
Colorado,
and
that
this
place
is
overcrowded,
but
they
could
hire
more
staff.
I'm
pretty
sure
they
didn't
have
a
real
doctor
on
the
premises
over
the
July
4th
holiday.
They
only
had
a
nurse
practitioner,
at
the
most.
Run
from
this
place.
Don't
go
here.
