I have been here several times and many of these times my rights have been violated and my psychological and medical needs have ignored or abused. They have falsified claims and reports that have affectected my personal life and family. This last time the woman pretending to be a doctor didn't even have her license yet; she was only a nurse practioner and would spend 2 minutes of her time in with a patient before telling them she was done and to leave the room. When I tried to complain to the people in place to be complained to, they ignored me until I saw them in person and they said "you must have the wrong number," which we didn't. Then I never heard again from him. When I finally started complaining out loud about the treatment, they threatened to deny me treatment if I didn't stop complaining about their services and people.

I have been to 5 different psychiatric wards, this was the worst place ever. During my stay I was threatened by other patients, I told the staff and they did nothing even when one of the other patients came into my room at night. They did not give me menstrual products I had to use toilet paper. The staff was rude and ignored me when I had an allergic reaction to the food. Do not ever send someone here. There was no real therapy or supervision. I was scared during my stay here. If I could I would give it a zero star review

My daughter was forced to this facility instead of allowing us to take her to one closer to home. Her special dietary needs (severe allergens) are NOT being met. She still doesn't know what meds they are giving her, which she is having reactions to, and generic group sessions are being used rather than specific and personalized care. At this point, it seems that treatment is secondary to holding her so they can continue to charge for care they are aren't providing very well. You'll be seeing us in court.

No real mental health care was giving to my child during their stay. Once they were discharged, no meaningful information was available for continued care. No notes, no sessions, and no observations. I was giving the status report for someone else's child at one point over the phone. I was told my child was adjusting well to the medication they were on. However, they weren't on any medication at that point. My child has horror stories about patients threatening each other and the staff doing absolutely nothing. I was verbally given a course of action for my child. I asked for a note from the doctor stating so. I was told by the social worker I would have it. Didn't receive it before discharge and still haven't. I asked the social worker several times for this and was ignored. At about $2500/day cash price, I expect some real treatment and a record of it. The insurance negotiated rate is less than 50% of what they charge cash. I would still expect a record of care at that price too. I feel absolutely horrible for folks who had no choice but to send a family member here. When places like this prey upon people during hard times, it's no wonder folks still have a hard time getting the help they need. If all you are looking for is an expensive babysitter to make sure you child is somewhat safe, this might be the place for you. If you are looking for meaningful care, keep looking.

I can write a book about my experience at this place. They sent my niece there from the er without even notifying us. We have been trying to transfer her to one close to home that accepts visitors for almost a week .we found a place that is willing to take her but can't get them to do their job. She has been there for almost 10 days with no diagnosis.; the only thing they do is drug her up to calm her down. They never contacted us for medical history, dietary restrictions..... I don't even trust them with my pet.

I have had positive experiences at Centennial Peaks, once in 2017 and and once in 2022. The staff members are devoted and caring professionals who address the needs of their patients whether the patient has been treated 1or 50 times on their journey to recovery and wellness. During my stay, I received respect, medical attention, care and encouragement for my healing journey. From what I witnessed, the only patients that were unhappy with Centennial Peaks were people that wanted to leave as soon as they were well enough to go back to the lifestyles that landed them there in the first place. The Centennial Peaks staff are very qualified to assist with addicts and or mental illnesses and are understanding and patient with their emotional and physical stresses. I am very grateful for Centennial Peaks programs and hard working staff who do so much to accommodate our needs and never giving up on us!

I would actively avoid ever coming here. The list of issues is so long. Even if you're going there voluntarily, you're treated as a prisoner or hostage. The tech staff is inconsistent between shifts on expectations. The doctors are there only a few hours a day and inconsistent with patients. The dorms are two people per room with minimal bedding provided. The staff is consistently checking each room every 15 minutes with a flashlight and being loud while doing it. The blood pressure monitor checks are pretty much every hour throughout the night. The staff laughs and jokes outside of rooms during quiet time. Earplugs are provided but basically a joke and you will not sleep well here if at all. The social workers are rude and assuming. Some rules are overlooked while not others. The phones are just like prison phones and have 10" of length, cut off during group hours, and are sitting awkwardly above chairs. I wasn't given my paperwork nor patient number upon admission and when asked for it, it couldn't be provided. You basically sit there for 16 hours a day, choosing group or to do almost nothing. Lastly, I provided everything they wanted for dismissal and as I was walking out was told that I was walking out as AMA. What. A. Joke. * Edit - I just got the bill. They charge $2500 a day to you or your insurance. I just. I can't. I won't follow up and I don't wish the best. I came to you for help and you inexplicably ruined my trust. Your hospital is very lacking in separation of groups, enforcement, and rehabilitation. You disqualified me for IOP and treatment therapy thereafter yet wanted a health plan. Feels counterintuitive. People need help. Give it to them and care. Jesus. ** Response - You have my contact information. You have my life in your hands. Don't reach out to me. I don't care. I spoke my opinion. I'm very selective of who I'm rude to and you're it because your hospital deserves it. "We don't normally provide this paperwork, but since you were patient with us, we'll give it to you". I was under your care no matter what. Your hospital is bonkers.

I HATE THIS PLACE. I'm incredibly traumatized from my experience here. They gave me two benzos at once to dope me up and keep me compliant upon my arrival. They prescribed me a medication with a side effect which could have caused me to have more seizures due to my preexisting medical condition - a condition I explained repeatedly to every nurse and doctor. It seemed like no one took me seriously or looked this condition up think about the interactions it could have with the side effect of the med. I refused this medication, but they ended up overdosing me on an a different medication which gave me a seizure anyway. They kept increasing my dose of it, and eventually, at a very high dose, it caused me the seizure I had. When I couldn't stop twitching, yet could explain my situation, a nurse told me that "I've never seen a seizure where someone could talk before," as if to suggest I was faking it. I asked for an MRI multiple times throughout my stay, as I was afraid one of my cavernomas might be bleeding, but even after the large seizure the medications caused, they wouldn't let me go to the ACTUAL hospital across the parking lot to get an emergency MRI. The excuse the aforementioned discrediting nurse gave me for this was, "there wouldn't even be anyone over there to operate the MRI machine." Doesn't she know how hospitals work and that technicians are often on call??? She should be fired for incompetence and lack of medical knowledge. She made me feel very unsafe and not listened to in a very frightful moment. The seizure even started generalizing and getting worse before they just patched up their mistake by giving me more meds. They held me for far longer than they needed to because I had insurance, despite the fact that I had demonstrated I had clear support networks with parents, friends, and a therapist should I be released. On the other hand, they let homeless people clearly still in the throes of mania, psychosis, and suicidal episodes go because their 3-day hold was up and they couldn't pay. They used every excuse in the book to keep holding me and other patients with insurance. They didn't have OSHA-compliant bathrooms, as only one of them in my entire wing was set up as a disability-friendly shower with a bar. The patient who was actually physically disabled couldn't use it because it was in the women's side of the wing and he was male. He kept slipping and falling throughout his stay. They only let me go after my mom called the police on them when I called her having a seizure. By that point, another patient had to talk for me because I couldn't hold the phone. Of course, the police can't enter. The staff kept refusing to see my mom. It was a terrifying place to be. The long-term or higher-up staff were often manipulative and put words in my mouth. The technicians were often helpful and kind, but had limited power. This place is more concerned with covering themselves legally than helping people. I understand there are not enough mental health resources in Colorado, and that this place is overcrowded, but they could hire more staff. I'm pretty sure they didn't have a real doctor on the premises over the July 4th holiday. They only had a nurse practitioner, at the most. Run from this place. Don't go here.

I was admitted to CPH for suicidal thoughts and during my stay there the staff made me feel welcome, safe, and helped me with my thoughts. Through the week I attended groups inside the facility to help with the thoughts and find coping strategies. You were also placed with other people that were also admitted, they were welcoming and helped me as well. It was nice to know others are going through the same thing and I'm not alone. Overall CPH was a very helpful place for me. I recommend it.

My mom was recently admitted here for over a week. They never told us how she was doing and they seem to substitute β€œgroup therapy” for real therapy. My mom has come back even worse, she’s violent. Always threatening to hurt her children and leaving for long periods of time without saying where she’s going. I called this hospital again and asked for guidance on what we can do but I had no help at all, instead a rude employee completely ignored my problem. Never ever again will I send somebody here, my family is falling apart and they’ve done nothing to help her while she was admitted, just made the problem even worse.

Unfortunately I am having to deal with this program in regards to my mentally ill brother. They're saying he has no options other than being discharged to a homeless shelter. At the same time they say he is a danger to himself and others. When I told them I would be reporting them to Adult Protective Services, Jeannie's response was will report you to adult protective services for not taking care of my brother. I told her go ahead see what my lawyer does to you. All they continue to do is try to justify what they're doing instead of giving him the proper help that he needs. Unfortunately they are trying to drop him off on the streets of Grand Junction Colorado. I'm sure the state local police would like to know exactly what they are doing. Quite frankly I don't see how a place like this is even in business. My local vet has more compassion and caring concern than this place does.

When I was in my mid 20s I was held here against my will. I had to fight to get out and boyfriend (now husband) and parents had to threaten legal action to get me out. We found out after that I was not on an involuntary hold it was all voluntary and they were holding me lying to me we think milk my insurance. They put me on medications against my will that I had to taper off later. The staff was inhumane and my experience here messed me up for a majority of my adult life. Do not go for an evaluation because they will trap you with your own words and hold you. Do not go here do not send your kids here find somewhere else.

DO NOT PUT YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS IN THIS FACILITY IF YOU CARE ABOUT THEM If I could leave 0 stars, I would. 95% of staff aren't medically trained at all and never seen to know what's going on. They constantly lose paperwork, including ROI (release of information) - thereby completely preventing the staff from talking to the families or sharing any kind of treatment information. They only have visitation 1 day a week for only 1 hour and will turn you away at the front desk and prevent you from visiting by giving you the runaround about needing to be "pre-cleared" or just outright lying about the patients behavior and saying it's "unsafe" when they are being perfectly lucid and calm. They constantly shirk responsibility for anything and have no accountability for any of their staff when one of them messes up. They change up medications and overscribe to get the patient to appoint of medicated psychosis so they can claim the patient isn't safe to be discharged and can keep raking in their daily allotment. This place is a glorified high priced babysitter and they do very little to actually advocate for the patient or provide adequate treatment that will actually help the patient recover. They seem to do everything in their power to keep the patient in their facility even when the patient wants to be transferred and their family wants them transferred as well.

Some of the staff is nice but ally [the provider] doesn’t listen or understand the patients because she won’t listen. She single handed made things ten times worse for me. Made me very resentful for getting help. Pick a different facility if you actually want help.she should be fired or required to take some sort of class for comparison about actually helping a patient instead of making them a prisoner. It is completely unethical to hold some one against their will if the are sound of mind.

Beware. This mental health hospital is being investigated for exploiting Medicaid insurance programs by deliberately holding and extending patients' stays against their will. It has been stated Centennial Peaks Hospital will repeatedly medicate a patient even when the patient believes the medication is no longer necessary. Centennial Peaks Hospital is known to continuously promise a patient they will be discharged the next day, the next day, and the next day, only to deny release. Centennial Peaks Hospital has been accused of blocking families from contacting and communicating with their loved ones once admitted. It would be advisable and prudent to watch the Denver Fox News problem solvers' investigative report on Centennial Peaks Hospital and to read online Google reviews before ever placing anyone in this facility.

Every social worker I spoke with at Centennial Peaks was excellent. The communication with them was great. Also, the teacher on staff is wonderful. However, I have zero good things to say about the male psychiatrist. That's why my rating isn't higher.

I was in this hospital from January 26th to February 2nd and let me just say: This is prolly the worst possible place to send your children the staff are all extremely rude and get annoyed with the sick patients who need help and I even got refused food at one point even though in the contract I signed it said we could have food at request. I was refused deodorant because the TA said she β€œwould have to go all the way over there and get it out”. The doctor Jessica prescribed me an antidepressant that ruined my life and I was not told ANY of the possible side effects just that it would β€œmake me better”. There are few staff that are nice and want to help but their rude co workers ruin that. I’m suprised this place is still running after the way they have treated patients. Please for the love of all things good in the world do NOT send your kids here. It made me worse.

I’m going to law school simply because of my experience at this hell hold of a facility <3 with peace and love tho right? is this too assertive? the mental health techs are the only ones who might not be bad people. Adam McKenzie and Sasha saved my life in there more than once. Main support is from other patients. I start submitting my grievances to the state of colorado tomorrow. And If a hair on any patients head is touched, I will be calling the police immediately. Take care of them. this was the most traumatic experience of my life.

This place was awful. I had to ask repeatedly for over 2 days for my glasses from my personal belongings. When It gave me a migraine, I was given medication and went to lay down, just for the nurse to come in and demand I get out of bed. One of the techs was supposed to run group and flat out stated he didn't feel like doing it that day had a couple people talk and then dismissed it. The rooms are freezing but they won't give you more than 2 blankets, I had to layer up all my clothes to even attempt to

Worst possible place you can send a love one to get help. My brother consistently asked for his belongings. Mind I made sure it met each requirement that he's able to wear at this facility. Its been three days and he has yet to receive his belongings. When I asked why that is " KATIE" responded with they are short staffed and have lots of other things to do that my brother needed to advocate for himself and not by family members. Which I had already mentioned to her that he has and hasnt got an answer as to why he hasnt received his belongings. Which should be no reason to why he shouldnt get it by now especially after 3 days of being at cenntenial peak hospital even with being short staffed . This is absolutely unexpectable I do not recommend this facility. Made a report to HR.

I wish I could remember the names of the nurses and other staff that were there when I was in so that I could praise them by name. Idk if I got lucky with the group of people that were in there with me at the time or what but so far this place has been the best that I've been to. It really felt like the staff cared. One of them in particular was so compassionate and sweet. I'm struggling to find a place nearly as good as this one but unfortunately I'm across the country otherwise I'd be checking in again.

Did not update my billing address with the information I gave them at intake. They sent my bill to a previous address which is a HIPPA violation. I was then sent to collections because I did not receive an invoice. I have 750 credit score and have 100% of paying my bills on time so this was very surprising. The gal from their billing department yelled at me and then hung up my phone call. I believe they have a history of not updating their billing address and others have likely experienced the same issue. Please comment if you have experienced the same issue. Maybe we can ban together.

The negligence from one of their male physicians is outrageously unbearable. I was misdiagnosed and manipulated to take their drugs and be their lab rat. So I played their hospital game with hope and trust, so I took their drugs. Drugs that I knew that would jeopardize my organs in the future. Now I have such an imbalance in my body I now have to take care of and the stress and the auto immune reaponse my body is going through is such a challange because of this. Trying to get back to equilibrium of an optimal microbiome in my body is hard. Let me add one more thing if I may, I also had a dream while I was there and this dream was that of a lab worker experimenting and taking a closer look at my blood, My DNA, looking at all the valuable resources I had in my blood, doing lab experiments I had no consent of. Oh where did you get your resources from for your lab experiments? Oh yea. You had to drain every patient with more blood than you needed to take. I'm too self aware not even your mental drugs supressed my minds warning signs about you negligent unaware weird hospital workers that mistreat humans. I was there on the agenda for the benefit of business for your medical company and solely not for the purpose of my benefit at all.

This place is about a joke. Social workers have an attitude and act like the patient is there property. They refuse to provide medical updates about the patient even with the legal paperwork signed to disclose medical information.

I was in the Detox Unit at Centennial Peaks and all I can say is the nurses and all staff were stellar, they were very understanding, kind and caring. I ended up making new friends who I check on time to time to give them encouragement to be sober and safe. Keep it up because you guys are awesome in my opinion. Much love.
