my
review
with
additional
info
based
on
"response
from

below.
Hearing
"Children's
Hospital"
is
a
huge
red
flag
to
us,
never
again.
If
I
could
give
Children's
Hospital
(further
CH)
ZERO
stars,
I
would.
Parents
who
schedule
regular
dermatology
visits
for
their
children
at
the
Wheat
Ridge
location
-
BEWARE:
CH
will
bill
you
twice,
the
1st
time
for
a
"specialist
visit"
and
the
2nd
time
for
"facility
use".
When
you
walk
in
and
the
receptionists
ask
you
to
use
their
touch-screen
device
to
sign
in
for
your
appt,
there's
a
form
(which
no
sane
person
reads
in
its
entirety
on
the
spot),
and
once
you
click
"Accept"
you
agree
to
their
billing
scam,
apparently.
Our
10
yo
had
2
visits
recently,
saw
2
different
doctors
(whoever
was
on
duty,
no
consistency),
the
first
doc
forgot
to
take
photos
of
the
warts,
you
know,
to
help
the
other
docs
see
the
progress
of
freezing
procedures,
if
any.
On
each
visit
we
waited
at
the
reception
for
5
min,
then
were
escorted
to
exam
room
(nothing
special,
similar
to
exam
rooms
at
any
other
outdated
medical
facilities),
the
nurse
took
the
vitals,
entered
info
into
computer
(5
min),
the
doc
came,
did
a
visual
exam,
suggested
we
use
an
OTC
stuff
(which
we
already
did,
without
success,
hence,
a
visit
to
the
doctor)
and
then
used
the
liquid
nitrogen
can
to
spray
the
warts
for
a
few
seconds.
Our
visits
were
no
longer
than
20
min.
What
"extras"
are
you
talking
about
in
your
response
below?!
We
have
one
of
the
most
common
insurance
plans
through
our
employer.
We
wish
our
insurance
would
deny
the
facility
use
claim..
alas,
they're
part
of
the
crooked
healthcare
system
(folks,
why
do
we
let
them
profit
off
of
us?!)
For
the
first
visit
CH
billed
our
insurance
$884
for
a
specialist
visit
and
$899
for
"facility
use".
In
all
honesty,
would
you
-
whoever
is
writing
back
to
me
here
-
pay
out
of
your
own
wallet
$40
+
$443.96
for
a
WART
REMOVAL
for
your
child?
Or
would
you
feel
scammed?
If
CH
was
"all
in"
on
transparency,
then
you'd
notify
patients
either
at
the
time
of
scheduling
an
appointment
or
when
checking
in
at
the
reception
-
"oh
btw,
since
you're
seeing
a
dermatologist
onsite
at
our
urgent
care
location
there
will
be
an
additional,
much
larger
charge
for
our
facility
use".
It
would
have
stopped
us
right
there.
Do
you
realize
how
ridiculous
your
"facility
use"
charge
is?!
Why
did
you
put
a
dermatologist
at
this
office
in
the
first
place?
If
they're
there
for
emergencies
only,
then
stop
scheduling
regular
specialist
visits
at
your
urgent
care
locations.
What
would
be
the
"free
of
charge"
facility
alternative
-
having
a
dermatologist
see
patients
in
the
hallways
or
in
the
parking
lot?
It's
like
youād
go
to
a
post
office
and,
in
addition
to
the
postage
for
mailing
your
stuff,
they'd
charge
you
a
$150
fee
for
"facility
use".
Or
when
youād
take
your
car
for
an
oil
change
-
they'd
slap
a
"facility
use"
charge
in
addition
to
the
cost
of
oil
and
mechanic's
hourly
wage.
Sounds
crazy??
Bet
some
"genius"
at
CH
network
invented
this
charge
to
increase
the
bottom
line
-
and
now
you
do
it
'cause
you
can
and
nobody
regulates
what
you
do,
yet
(!)
BTW,
when
did
CH
implement
the
"facility
use"
charge?
Please
share
with
us
here,
for
transparency.
We
are
disgusted
by
the
way
you
on
behalf
of
CH
keep
justifying
fake
charges
in
your
response
below,
all
with
the
goal
to
profit
off
of
patients.
It's
quite
frightful
to
imagine
what
bills
families
of
seriously
sick
children
receive
for
CH
"care".
Shame
on
you
all.
