😠 I would give this place 0 stars if I could. My dog was having a hard time breathing last night. This place says it’s open 24 hours online. We showed up carrying my 90 lb dog to the door and the lady at the front desk wouldn’t even look at us, she was rushing to get her paperwork done and get out of... People often mention staff, time, care, emergency, great, pets, wait, hours, friendly, service,

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. My dog was having a hard time breathing last night. This place says it’s open 24 hours online. We showed up carrying my 90 lb dog to the door and the lady at the front desk wouldn’t even look at us, she was rushing to get her paperwork done and get out of there or something. The least you could of done was tell us you weren’t open and maybe tell us a close by emergency we could go to. My dog died last night you could of saved us some time instead of letting us sit at the door with him trying to get help while he was dying.

Super friendly, great honest advice about our pets health. They didn’t pressure us into doing anything we didn’t agree with. The doctor was so sweet and compassionate. And I love that my kids had a small place to play while we waited for our Brutus to get his care.

Possibly the worst vet service I have worked with. I was the second person in the door at 730am, was able to see the vet almost right away ($109 surcharge to elevate the case to an “emergency”) - the vet said the case was straightforward and would be handled within the hour. My dog has severe vet anxiety so this was the perfect solution. After leaving my dog with the staff, I was given the bill prior to the services performed for ~$400, understandable - however it needed to be paid in full prior to them doing the work. After paying, the staff informed me it would now be “a few hours” but I was more than welcome to sit and wait. After getting clarification on time - it was now going to be 3-4 hours of a service, when 10 minutes earlier it was going to be less than an hour wait. Come 7 hours later they still have my dog and the best estimate for pickup is 5-6pm - 10 hours. My dog has been crated with severe anxiety and no expectation of earlier release. When calling the staff they put me on hold for 20 minutes and told me that it is what it is and other emergencies bumped him from the top of the list to the end. Will not ever use this or any affiliated vet ever again and would strongly urge you do the same.

I have been a customer here for a while and have taken my pets to this clinic for a few emergency situations. As have friends and family. We have all been noticing the decline in this clinic. Every experience has gotten worse and worse. You can’t get them in for emergencies, the wait is ridiculous, the staff can be rude, the price is expensive and the quality of the service has gotten worse and worse with each attempt. Not to mention YOU ARENT OPEN 24/7. That can literally be life or dead to a dog, when the pet owner takes them here first. I read a few of the reviews before posting and it seems like that has already been the case with a few pets. I call here because it’s the closest and my first experience was really good. At first I just blamed Covid and I’ve come to the conclusion that using that as an excuse is no longer something I can do. I hope this clinic gets back on track and your staff actually starts to care about pets and the owners. As of right now I highly suggest no one take their animals there and find other veterinary hospitals.

We had to take our dog in late night last week. She had a seizure at home and we ended up at CPH. Dr. Scott Reed handled our beloved dog with great care and concern. Unfortunately, she could not be saved because she had a heart issue. The entire staff was so compassionate throughout our ordeal. I can’t thank them enough for all they did.

I came here to the emergency side when my pup hurt her tail. Everyone I saw and/or interacted with were simply amazing. I came in and was quoted a 4 hr wait time, but was seen in 2.5hours. The vet and techs were so friendly and gave my pup all the love. They didn’t push for me to do any unnecessary testing/imaging. It ended up only costing me $210 for the emergency visit and 3 medications. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in need of a vet or emergency vet.

My Tech Elizabeth & DVM Dr. McGreer were amazing today. My Boxer loved them, felt safe, & happy. He was really scared/traumatized of the vet from past experiences at Caring Hands so I switched to Community Pet Hospital hoping for a change for his anxiety. Dr. McGreer and Elizabeth fed him treats and peanut butter the entire time for his shots. They did so well. I'll definitely come back.

We came here one evening after our dog ate sugar free gum, which is highly toxic to dogs. As soon as we arrived, our dog was taken in the back, to start her on the oral medicine to induce vomiting. They took her back, because time was of the essence, before even getting my name, payment, or any information. The primary goal was helping my dog, which was greatly appreciated! Throughout the entire process, several assistants, and the doctor, kept coming out to update us and to talk to us about the situation. They were very transparent! I had a choice to go a less expensive route, or a more expensive route. We choose to go the more expensive route and it was only $400 total!!! The last time we took her to an emergency vet after hours, for milkweed poisoning, it was to the vet on Huron, and it cost us $1000! I couldn't be happier with the service we received, the outcome, the cost, and knowing my dog was well taken care of. What a great place, especially when you are stressed and worried about your beloved animal companion. I have recommended them to my family and friends, it the need ever arises. Love this place! Thank you so much Community Pet Hospital. :)

I have a Rottweiler and the breed alone scares most people off. Every single staff member was amazing and very kind to us. I brought Zeus in because of a situation and was told it would be 1.5 hour waiting when we checked in. Everything was fine, but as time passed people were being told it'd be a 6 HOUR wait. So since Zeus was alert and not in danger, we were going to get triaged and would be contacted later since it wasn't urgent. Then the vet techs said "no, we will get through this" and brought us to the back. I am thankful because it just hit our 1.5 hour mark. It did cost $109 for an emergency exam but at least it wasn't worst case scenario and I was able to take Zeus home. This is my first time at this location but I liked our experience.

Vet techs and vet were all so personable and caring. Prices were cheaper than rock creek. A truly good lot of human beings offering their kindness to the world. They are my new vet! Thank you guys 🙏

My Molly had cancer. The time came where it was to much for her. It was time to let go. The staff was so amazing with her all the treats she could eat! Even a burrito from someones lunch. All they cared about was making her last few hours great. Thank you to the staff for making a really bad experience a bearable one.

They took care of my cat quickly and answered all my questions. Friendly staff and doctors. Hopefully you never need to take your pet to emergency care but if you do Community Pet Hospital o near 129th and Washington is top notch!

First time visit on Dec. 26th with my 9 yr. old Heeler "Shadow" after he had altercation with his housemate, an English Bulldog. From my initial phone call until the office visit, I felt like Community Pet was willing to help in every way and happy to have our business! I was very pleased and am requesting that Shadows records be forwarded to you. Thank you!

We had to bring our dog here due to our vet being closed for a holiday. The staff was absolutely wonderful, very friendly, reassuring, and provided clear options for treatments and recommendations. They followed up with us multiple times and even though we weren’t a regular client, took incredibly good care of us and offered reasonable pricing for an unscheduled holiday visit.

We recently took our dog, Roscoe, here for an emergency visit. The care we received, and most importantly, Roscoe, was impeccable!!! We especially loved Dr. Brandy McGreer!! She has a great chairside manner! She explained everything thoroughly, offering different options and was just so caring!!! It was obvious how much she loves her job! We will definitely be entrusting our pets care to this place!!! Strongly recommended!!

Vet was super nice but one vet tech was not. Was not kind or considerate with my situation with My daughter is allergic to cat on top of having bad eczema. The 20 mins I was in there my daughter was trying to itch her face off which her skin barrier is already very comprised . So of course I want want to wait outside as much as possible. A little empathy can go a long way.

My son's Boston Terrier pup injured her delicate leg and was taken to a corporate-owned veterinary clinic ER, where they demanded an exorbitant price for the exam and xray, close to $1K just for that, not including any subsequent treatment plan once the xray came back. Heavens. His girlfriend found Community Pet Hospital instead and took the pup in, was helped immediately for less than 1/4 the cost -- in full. In these very stressful situations where someone's beloved companion is injured, it is refreshing to know there are still vets like Dr. Breon and his staff that do not gouge people who are at the mercy of a corporation that manipulates the emotional and physical trauma of the pet and pet owner with overpricing. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Community Pet Hospital team for their conscientious, ethical, and compassionate practices.

Been taking my pups here since 2017 and I have always had wonderful service. The staff are very professional and on top of communication. It has been easy to get normal checkups and emergency visits scheduled. Getting copies of records has always been easy, too. The staff is always compassionate and understanding. Thank you for all you do to take care of our pets!

This hospital did an amazing job taking care of my fur baby, it was an immediate need and the staff were so friendly and concerned about my dog . I’m so thankful to everyone there! A couple days after our visit , they even called me to check up on my dog and make sure he was doing better. Thank you all for all you do! Definitely recommend. It’s a bit expensive, but what vet isn’t , still would highly recommend.

My girlfriend and I bring both of our pets here and have nothing but great things to say! They super friendly and accommodating. Our pets never hate going back. They also do a great job of keeping pet mom and dads assured and calm.

We normally go to the Holly St location as a normal vet but unfortunately needed to visit the ER/after hours vet today. Called before going in to see wait time/give a heads up, got there, waited maybe 5 minutes to be seen, and got my poor boys eye issues all taken care if! Vet and vet tech were both efficient and attentive. We spent maybe 1 hour total there between check in, waiting, and being seen.

I've been bringing my two cats here for about two years and I always feel that my fur babies are in good hands. The staff communicates well about wait times and takes great care with the animals. It can be hectic, but everyone is always friendly and kind. I moved to Lafayette, but still use this vet because between the fair pricing and friendly service, I don't see a need to find a new vet.

I was so appreciative of them getting my dog in after he was attacked by 2 dogs, we had a small amount of wait time and they did great with him. I would have given them 5 starts, but the Vet Tech called the day after to check on my dog and she informed my husband in a negative/blaming manner our dog was so under weight her tone of voice didn't change until he informed her we have only had my dog for 1 month and he is a rescue dog then she was a little nicer gave us some valuable information. I hope they realize we take our pets to see them because we love our pets if we didn't we would never pay for them to see professional people like them.

This place says they are a 24 hour emergency vet. They don’t answer the phone over 24 hours and then when I brought my pup in they told me it was a 3hr wait and I had to sit there the whole time or call later (I called over 20x the night before and morning of). Customer service is garbage. Zero help If they treat pet Parents this way I can only imagine how they treat the pets good luck to anyone taking a chance with this place

Not even going into horrible details about them, just should have taken care of my dog's leg a lot better than they did which we took them to another emergency and they said it should have been taken care of a lot differently which now he's getting great care, thank God he's not losing his leg looked at better first.

  • 5/5 Nicole B. 1 year ago on Google
The vets and techs here are always great with our dogs. We started taking them here because our regular vet is booked so far out. This is an emergency vet so obviously they will bump you for animals that are most critical which makes a lot of sense, those who are complaining about the wait time are not very observant. It could vary greatly, sometimes you get right in other times you get bumped depending on the severity of the situation.
