Gym is okay. Staff are friendly and good, classes are good, towel service is nice, and the convenience of the downtown location is good. Negatives: a little pricey, you pay a facility fee every gal for upkeep but no upkeep appears to be done, outdated machines, have not changed the shower curtains in the three years I’ve been there, and things seem to be “out of order” a lot. The culture seems to have changed to being very much a “bro” culture recently. I watched some dude hog up a machine and take selfies for at least ten minutes the other day. If you need a decent gym with a lot of amenities (when they are working) at a downtown convenient location that does have good classes and friendly staff then this is a good place. I gave it three stars because the positives are more than the negatives.

Recently, TruFit decided to close my gym and gave everyone a three week notice in December. They are refusing to reimburse me for the last month of January which was already paid and the yearly fee (I've only been there for 4 months). Caleb Rupp will not provide a reimbursement and says I should use a different TruFit which is too far for me to get to.  Also, the Trufit I was going to stopped providing basic services such as cleaning, hot water, or towels.  It is incredibly unprofessional to stop providing a service, and keep their clients money. If this were the other way around and I wanted to cancel my membership, they would tell me I need to honor my agreement, yet they are not honoring their own agreement while keeping my money.  Steer clear and head to a Planet Fitness.

Most of the comments on the reviews here are somewhat accurate. This is 'the' best choice for a Denver Downtown gym, period. It's very ample in space, rarely crowded, and packed with multiple options for strength training. The personnel is very friendly too. That said, it does lack some classic gym equipment, as the so mentioned lat pulldown. I think it compensates with a myriad of other alternatives, though. You can cover your entire basic routine, plus hit some rare exercises too. No big deal

This gym is awful! I’m part of the Denver gym, it was always dirty, no towels. Well, they closed without warning people and pushed their memberships to other gyms. They don’t let you cancel unless in person. Outrageous thing to do. Also, they’ve been known to start charging credits cards after cancellation. Be careful!

Worked out here while Staying at the Ritz for A wedding, the View was great, machines were nice. Staff was great, they even have rock climbing and resistance bands. Better than most gyms Ive seen in Austin

I actually really like this place. Management is making it a point to fix the pool and hot tub issue for good and the staff is very helpful. The views are nice, and they still offered free parking for an even longer duration the originally offered even though it's across the street. I really miss the pool and want it fixed but I'm sure they'll get it done within a month. And for the price you pay, you really get a HUGE value.. even without a pool and hot tub. Arut's boxing classes are on point.

At first I was very hesitant signing up for a gym membership because I have a free gym at home. I spoke with Inglebert Lopez numerous times and he was not pushy or forceful. In fact he was very patient and gave many different options that may benefit me as the member. I finally decided to join and that was the best decision that I could have made. The staff members are very polite and professional. I feel that Inglebert is a great leader and he makes sure that the clients needs come first. There are many different machines and the gym is very large which makes it nice to not have to wait for a machine. The options for classes are huge and there is a wide variety to chose from. If you are looking for a good gym Downtown, I highly recommend Trufit.

Horrible gym. everything is always broken and never fixed. the GM feeds you excuses and never does anything to fix the issue. disgusting lockers. the steam room is a health hazard. here are some pictures I've gathered in under a month. most of this is still broken. the towel is dirty from swiping one small area of the steam room. boogers, hair, lint is all over the steam room every single day for the passed few months. the towel literally turned black just by swiping it on a seating area. showers barley work. one is always spitting steaming hot water.

My experience has been similar to others. I cancelled my membership, continued to get charged unbeknownst to me, incurred late charge etc. and when I tried to get this resolved was told to pay remaining charges. I even have email with the billing dept that I cancelled my membership. This gym uses unethical practices. Read these reviews before you consider joining.

Very convenient location and good trainers but I was disappointed by dirty facilities and broken equipment. It can be dangerous for your health. I will not return to this gym anymore!

Decent amenities, pool, hot tub, tanning room, spin, yoga, extremely convenient for my work schedule, ladies locker has free locked lockers, showers, towel service, plenty of other necessities for getting ready to go to a work day.... I like it. Only a couple of negatives, like a few broken things, pool could be a little more appealing and charging $15 for a day pass for a member's teenage daughter.... A little much. However overall it's pretty good. Nice views too.

This place is now closed, but this is for all the members who paid and still may get charged after they cancelled: (..Because talking to Caleb Rupp, the old manager, will get you nowhere since he has blatantly ignored my AND two of my friend's questions altogether.) After TruFit [supposedly] cancels your membership, PLEASE call Paramount Acceptance (the third-party company that handles a lot of gym payments) and ask that they delete your account if you're worried about getting any further charges. They are extremely helpful and were so great when I tried signing up for another gym (that uses them, a lot do). Side Note: TruFit's setup even screwed up my new account while attempting to sign up for a new gym since TruFit never deleted my old info (credit cards and all). Thankfully Paramount deleted the old account and was able to create a new "clean" one for the new gym with only the info I wanted on there. Paramount is very helpful once you get through the computerized part!

This gym is O.K. but Just O.K... The gym is spacious and is not often too crowded, a huge plus for a downtown Denver gym. Additionally, all the staff are helpful and very nice. The gym has beautiful, modern and plentiful equipment; however, some essential weight lifting machines are not found at this gym. You will not find a cable pull down bench/seat or a lying leg curl machine. I feel these are fundamental machines for any resistance training gym. another factor holding this gym back is the hours of operation time frame. The gym opens early enough however if the gym was to stay open for one more hour during the week (until 10:00 p.m.) I would be able to workout more often. My last irk about the gym is that many people leave their weights racked long after their reps are complete. This is more a culture fail and I hope that members can be encouraged to display better gym etiquette. I think the, "If you don't rack you weights, Justin Beiber writes another song," sign campaign is working, lets keep it up! I like my gym and the people who work there. Thank you Tru Fit Denver!

Cancelled my membership in August of 2016 in person. Just received a collections notice for over 500. Called the gym to clear it up and even went in person 2 times (the second time the manager basically dismissed me and told me I had to pay regardless of canceling in person and over the phone, the gym manager said they have no record of the cancellation on file and that I'll need to pay to get out of collections. I did not keep my receipt of the cancellation unfortunately and have not visited the gym since July. They will not cancel or wipe the debt. There's a record of my visits that stopped based on that cancellation. I even joined another gym in my neighborhood in the meantime based on having cancelled this membership. Due to their error of not filing that paperwork, I now have an account in collections with no solution. This is 100% unacceptable to me.

Although this is one of the best options for a gym in the downtown area, that is not setting the bar terribly high. Some of the other reviewers have keyed in on the problem that this gym does not have essential gym equipment (a lat pull down machine, or a cable row machine). Another primary issue with this gym is the hours, while it opens at a reasonably early 5am, it closes at 9pm. For us night owls, this is substandard. These issues are highlighted by numerous requests by a majority of the members who frequent the gym at this time, all of which have gone unanswered. I understand that my membership dues help make this a profitable establishment, but I'm sincerely concerned that I pay $50 bucks a year for improvements to the gym, and I haven't seen a new piece of equipment since I joined. As some of the other reviewers have also said, the only reason that this doesn't get 1-star is that the people who work here as well as work out here are awesome. It's really the only thing that keeps me going here.

To give you an idea of how great this gym is, I'm currently on the phone with my bank trying to figure out how they are still charging me after I cancelled my account before moving away from Colorado. I now have to get a new debit card because they continuously charge me for a membership that has been cancelled. I have even spoken with them directly about the matter, but they continue to charge me. When I call the location, on more than one occasion, they tell me that the person I need to talk to is busy, and they never call back. I called the number my bank provided me with, and some clueless representative told me that it was the billing department, and "the gym does not want us to talk to members about their accounts." When she gave me a number to call, the phone rang continuously and nobody answered. The gym itself is average. The staff is miserable and turnover is very high. I had a physical trainer for less than a year and I had 3 different trainers due to turnover. Nobody is able to do anything because of corporate policy, so nobody is all that helpful. This gym is a nightmare to get away from. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else that will actually be attentive to clients and not just do their best to hook them on a terrible membership agreement and then try to pull as much money as they can from your pocket.
