Nice spot for camping. The bathroom was spacious and clean, the walks around the lake were peaceful, and most people around were friendly and pleasant. Stayed for two nights and found the time to be quite relaxing. Would recommend for single folks, couples, or families. And if you have a boat you'll be more than set!

This is our first time camping here. Besides the thrumming of the cicadas, it's generally very peaceful and quiet. The sites all seem to have some shade and they're spacious. They are all pull throughs. The paved parts all seem to be slightly curved. There is one dump station. Each loop has two water spigots. If you have children, the best play area is between the C and D loops. If you have mobility issues, you may want Loop A because it has paved access to the trail (all the others are dirt paths). My only complaints are that there aren't trash cans along the trail (not fun if you've cleaned up after your dog) and the wasps! We had to stop eating outside because there were so many of them (I got stung).

Great camping experience at this nearby state park. Spotless restrooms, including showers, and ample space between camp sites. Love the rental availability of paddle boards!!

I love boyd! It has a big sand beach, snack stand and plenty of water to share between boats and paddlers. Such a refreshing change from the ice cold reservoirs too.

So fun camping here this weekend! Lots of family's and kids, they have a horse shoe pit, park, swings and very clean bathrooms! Would totally recommend for a group of friends or multiple familys to get spots next to each other. The people a couple camp sites away had a halloween party and all the kids dresses up, the camps were decorated! It was so fun!

Arrived at sunset, so the beach was empty. Had it to ourselves. Playground near the sand. Huge parking lot. We hung out by the trees, instead of the sand (Dogs not allowed on sand). Lots of paddle board swimming.

Great lake for family gatherings. Swimming, boating, etc. Big sandy beach, picnic tables, trails, etc Kayak and paddle board rentals on site, food options. We learned if you want to rent a boat from the marina, reserve it online ahead of time. Clean and well kept.

Spent the day to watch the Air Show. Beautiful, well kept park. Everything was clean and well maintained. Staff was informative and friendly. Also, the staff did a great job getting everyone out of the park safely after the show. Thank you! ๐Ÿ˜

I almost don't want to leave this review because I don't want additional traffic, but here we are lol Boyd is amazing. This year, with all the rain we've had, Boyd is fuller than ever. The water creeps right up to the picnic tables!! (Last year, there was still about 50ft of beach before you hit the water). We launched our kayaks right from our picnic spot, cruised through the trees that are now living the aquatic life. We recently kayaked the whole lake and that was a lot lol anyways, the important things, like the bathrooms here are always clean, people are respectful of each other's space and we all seem to clean up after ourselves (as it should be). There are also spigots around to rinse your hands, feet, gear, kids? Pets? Whatever, I'm not here to judge. There's tons of picnic tables (some with awnings), plenty of grass space for land sports or tanning. Plenty of parking around as well. Overall the grounds are very well maintained. There's also a concession stand that sells food (haven't tried it yet). You can rent jet skis (and other toys) too (totally fun). There's also a large playground for those who may not be as excited to swim. The campgrounds look nice as well, each spot was numbered with a fire pit and it looked like they had a large bathroom right in the middle (I don't know if they have showers in there or not). There are also people who take advantage of bike riding and walking the trails nearby. There's really something for everyone here. $11 day pass is where it's at, although I recommend getting your dual registration ID to avoid having to pay every time (and it pays for itself in 3 visits).

Winter camping in February. Bathrooms were open and clean. Coin showers - didnโ€™t use but were clean. Lovely spot with view of mtns to the west and a lake to the east. I thought $36 plus $10 entrance fee was steep for winter camping.

Fishing, boating, camping, and relaxing at it's best. We go to the campground twice a year with our family and friends, for spring and fall get-togethers.

Boyd lake is absolutely beautiful, the view of the mountains is breathtaking. The cost of 72.00 for 2 nights i could deal with. The extra 20.00 for a vehicle pass I can almost understand..it all goes to the state park I believe, but having to pay for a shower after 92.00 is just too much I feel. There is no water at the campsites only power and there r these trees, im not sure what they are, that drop these little pods of some sort that are like glue in ur pets fur, feet and anywhere they can stick to. If u have any long haired pets, beware. These were really the only drawback huge inconvenience and quite painful for my long haired dauschund. I don't usually give any complaints but I just don't see why the charge for a shower when already paying so much.. .75 for 3 minutes then .25 each minute thereafter. Its not the amount its the principle. We literally camp all over this great country and have never seen a pay shower. If ur self contained and watch out for the sticky things its a great place.

Good place if you have a boat. Too many people and $10 a day to get in. I think the government should he was more taxpayer dollars to pay for state parks and local recreation areas. We should pay a minimal fee. And be responsible for picking up after yourself. it's because most people don't like to clean up after themselves they charge an absurd amount to go in for a few hours and fish. This is not only Boyd lake this is the majority of lakes in Colorado

5 stars because this place covers all the bases. From day trips to overnight camping. Fishing is great from beginner to advanced. Not into that you say? What about a beach in Northern Colorado? This place has it.

This has very quickly become one of my new favorite places to go and spend time. You can walk, bike, kayak, paddle board, boat and more here. If you don't have those things to take with. You can rent most of it here. It's a great place to bring the family and just enjoy being outdoors. Let's face it. The outdoors is why anyone moves to and lives in this beautiful state. I just can't believe it tools us so long to finally get down here and check it out. I'm so glad we did though. My wife, little guy and myself absolutely love it. So get out and enjoy nature and make sure to check out Boyd Lake when you do.

This lake is FULL. In fact, all the lakes in the area are filled to the brim. And everything around them is GREEN. The marina is open. The campsites are cool, and there are plenty of trees to offer shade. All is well maintained, it's quiet, and convenient. It looked like the fishing was pretty good, too. Highly recommend Boyd Lake.

Best place ever to camp at. This place was something new to me because usually when I go camping there's tons of trees and more forestry type but it was really nice their. It did rain a lot though. The water was clear and clean and pet safe. The trails where very cool. They have bathrooms and showers the showers cost 75ยข to start then 25ยข for every minute. The water wasn't that cold once you covered your whole body in it. I am definitely coming here again.

Beautiful views of the range. Peaceful weeknight evening with only a few boats and boards on the lake, pelicans, cranes, and herons lined the shores. Wish the water was a little clearer.

Lake was very low. Alot of mud caking on the feet, even when dried wouldn't come off. Trash in water and fishing lines The dried mud was very hard to natigate with bare feet The positive that there is public restroom with a shower.

Convenient location with a lake and lots of spots, but the facilities and spots are beat and civility of other campers was lacking. It was a loud and late night of noise. Not a bad stopover, but bring earplugs and have somewhere to go after.

Beautiful spot for swimming, biking/walking/running on a trail, but less scenic for camping. Amenities are clean and modern, but campsites are close and have minimal shade.

The swim beach was nice and clean. It wasn't too crowded and we weren't rushed by rangers at all. Dogs are allowed to swim just not on swim beach.

Beautiful campground. Convenient to paved walking/bike path & close to RMNP. We could stare at the Rockies from our site. Well kept by the volunteers & staff. Weโ€™ll definitely keep it on our radar.

Nice park in Larimer County Colorado. My only issue is that for two days 07/05-07/06 there was no toilet paper in the Men's restroom in Cottonwood B campground. Funny thing is I seen daily the golf cart with campground employees there. Introduced myself and had friendly conversations with both 'volunteers'. I guess a good way to get you to spend them quarters at the laundrymat that had a stockpile of boxes of ๐Ÿงป. Not fun.

The lake is big with lots of room for all the boats. Great place to paddle board also. Could use more boat ramps though.

We RV camped here the first week of June and enjoyed it a lot. We were in loop B. The bathroom facilities are nice and large. We used the showers (quarters) and laundry facilities. Definitely some of the nicest bathrooms we've seen in a state park. We did a bike ride on the paved path off the water, and the walk to the beach was not far from loop B (loop A is the closest). While the beach was so-so (lots of weeds, rocky sand, litter on the beach), the kids still enjoyed it. It has a great pirate themed playground right at the beach. Also a little playground on the campground. We rented a pontoon boat on the marina and fished in the lake, which we recommend. The best part was that the campground had plenty of grassy areas for the kids to run around and play. Nearby downtown Fort Collins, which is really cute. We would definitely stay here again.

Spent the weekend. The camp ground was nicely maintained. The camper spots were large enough and not too close to the neighbors. The restrooms/ showers were kept clean. The swim beach was fun and offers a great picnicarea under the trees. The park is very dog friendly. They have playgrounds for the kids. Will definitely camp there again.

We decided to try something new last year as a first family outing after COVID. Boulder Res had always been a favorite of ours but I think Boyd Lake stole that position. We were so pleasantly surprised by how much more swimming area there was, and the playground was a nice touch. The water was fairly clean minus some goose poop puddles but I've seen those everywhere. We didn't use their facilities this time around but likely will next time. I would recommend water shoes of some sort unless you don't mind the feeling of walking through mud. It grosses me out so I will definitely bring a pair next time. Lastly, VERY reasonably priced which is beyond appreciated. Money is tight for many! Boulder Res charges per person which easily costs us over $30 just for the day. So $10 a vehicle is more than fair for us.

Nice! We rented a pavilion for a family reunion. The set up with fantastic! Nice picnic tables under a great pavilion. Counters for food service all around and a sink too. Two very large charcoal grills with handy prep tables. Trash cans all around made cleaning up easy. Fun little play area for kiddos as well as lake access.

No power for most of the weekend, no adjustments in fees for those spots where we paid for power. Rangers were flexible and accommodating. Park is clean as nd well maintained.
