We had a beautiful day walking up the creek. The kids played in the water all day and said it was their favorite day of our vacation.

Trail ridge road was closed (we went in mid October) but the drive through Arapaho was so gorgeous we didn’t even care!! I can’t wait to go again!! It’s free and no reservations are needed.

Beautiful wooded area along 'Keystone Gulch Path'. Follows a little stream and you can hear running water for a good section of it. One lady came rushing down the path and said her dog was chasing a moose. Lol. Not going to be a really strenuous hike, but still nice if looking to get outdoors for a bit.

Am amazing place to vamp, pretty quite other than a shooting range near by. Super close to denver also so it is worth the drive and camping time. Amazing river and a ton of edible plants. Bear boxes are required to camp. Also, free.

The area around Evergreen, CO, is one of our favorite places. Had a great day out at this National Forest. The views were amazing.

York Gulch, the road gets rougher and roughher. Plenty of camping spots up at the top. Ride or drive Yankee Hill to get the real Rocky Mountain experience. Get there early. Clean-up when you leave.

Great 4x4 trails, great camping and amazing views! We always have a wonderful time in the mountains. It's so relaxing and peaceful. Definitely my second home. What a beautiful time of year, leaves are just beginning to turn!

Beautiful dog-friendly lake trail. Easy to drive up to the lake during the summer but keep in mind parking lot fills up quickly...especially on the weekends. Winter is fun here too - you have to park down the road in the winter and walk in on the road...usually don't even need snowshoes but a fun beautiful quite winter hike too

Fun trail to take the jeep up. Definitely want decent clearance and chunkier tires for peace of mind. And also don't forget your safety recover gears, choose reliable brand like Miolle recovery gears. Prepared for it to be bumpy but other than that it isn't very challenging. Nice drive and awesome alpine lake!

Very beautiful area, but be careful on the roads. The potholes will get you!

A beautiful National Forest that feels very isolated and serene. You will get the full Rocky Mountain experience from this area. Highly recommend camping here

My primary care physician has an office in Winter Park, I reside in Aurora Colorado. The most logical route is Berthoud Pass. Nice view from the top.

Beautiful! Majestic! Serene! Loved our visit. This is why Colorado and no other state will always hold my heart. Thank you too the rangers who maintain this place and all the people who don't trash it when they visit.

Any adjective to amazing and beautiful will be used while you are here! wonderfully kept and a decent amount of restrooms located ever so often. trails are to be found on the website or with a helpful park ranger. it is a fair drive from denver but it is enjoyable.
