The museum was gutted and replaced with stuff focusing on nearby towns. All that is left is the old Fort itself to see. So sad. It is crumbling and falling apart due to it's design and lack of maintenance.

I would have to say this was a great place to stop by and visit. The volunteers that were there were extremely knowledgeable about the 1800's. We got to shoot a old gun it was awesome for the cub scout to see how guns were like in the old days.

We enjoyed the Fort and the exhibits. The short movie was extremely important and informative. Worth the drive.

Easy parking access. No entrance fee (Donations are excepted). The young lady behind the counter doubled as a sort of tour guide. She was very friendly and quite knowledgeable in regional and Fort history! She made the day for us. The fort itself is full of memorabilia from the era along with reasonably priced souvenirs and is spotless clean and well maintained! All-in-all it was a great visit!

Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, there are only a few exhibits, but they are displayed well, and there are a few hands on items also. The gift shop has a unique selection, nice assortment of regional historical books, and authentic hand made goods.

Last Saturday I learned how to make moccasins the Native American Way and later this month I'm going to be learning how to make bread the Native American Way. It's a nice little stopping spot as you're passing by on Route 85. When you're there you'll learn a little bit about history of the area with a very short guided tour. You can find out what workshops they will be having that you might want to participate in

Underwhelming destination, but tells a really cool and compelling story about the fur trade that brought white settlers west during the antebellum period. Be sure to check out the gift shop. Because that’s pretty much all that is there.

👍👍 I have been stopping at this location for many many years. I love that every time I do I see something new that I had not before. Rather it be the amazing graffiti or a new spot I've never came across.

🫤 I give this place 2 stars only because its 20 bucks per 5 nights which operates by a drop box and honor system. There is free water and a small fee to use their rv dump. The sites have no hookups themselves. However... In the matter of about 2 hours parked at this location, our "class a" had acc...

😠 Decided to take my 16 month old son to this park after some grocery shopping. We hop out of the truck to find our first surprise. Whatever. Walk a few feet and head to the park only to find our second surprise. My son is instantly amused and wants me to play with it. Super. 🤮🤮 Plus the slide h...
