This place has to be one of our favorite stops. Always hearing about “The Daddy of them all” and getting to stop and see it has only inspired us to come back to CFDs. The museum is great with numerous wagons preserved, memorabilia from past cowboys including Lane Frost. This was a special trip to see the museum. Wish we could have gotten to see inside the arena area, but it was great just the same.

Had a wonderful time looking at the wagons and displays. The employees were helpful and friendly. We also liked the short film in the back. The only thing left to do is come back during the rodeo.

If your ever in Cheyenne, WY check out the Frontier Museum. It has the largest collection of carriages and buggies in the world. Wow so much to see there. Incredible collection of frontier artifacts. It takes at least two hours to see..but could easily spend more time there.

Super nice gentleman working ticket sales. Loved chatting with him! Gave us lots of great info. Nice collection. My kids lived watching the movie of Lane Frost.

My parents loved it! They were visiting from CT and we stopped here for 30 minutes during the weekend trolley ride. I know my dad wishes we spent longer there! There are many interesting things to see inside and the gift shop is really nice.

We learned a lot about Frontier Days and had a good time looking at all the different types of carts. They have the largest collection of carts in the world and many get used each year in the Frontier Days parade. We hope to come back sometime during Frontier Days to enjoy all the festivities!

Took a weekend trip to Cheyenne, this place was definitely worth the trip. Especially if you're an old west or rodeo fan. Not real big, but lots to see.

Absolutely fantastic museum. A real must see. Worlds largest for carriages.

I think this is a cool place and I feel bad saying this but..... It's over priced for what it is. It's dated and badly needs to be renovated to justify the $12 a person. It's really only worth $6ish a person. Seeing the old wagons was neat. If friends come in town would not say this is a must see unless they *love frontier days. The free botanical gardens across the street are a huge plus for the location and made us feel like it wasn't a wasted trip just for this museum.

Very friendly staff. I felt like I was stepping back in time with the old carriages and artifacts. Great gift shop. We learned a lot about the rodeo culture here and how important Frontier Days is to this town. Great stop while we were visiting Wyoming.

Absolutely loved this museum. Visited with my 84 yo father and 23 yo son. The exhibits in the museum were awesome. Beautiful carriages are in abundance. They also have a lovely gift shop and the young lady working was an absolute delight. (Unfortunately o did not get her name)

Museum worker - was amazing!! Great intro into the museum explained what was able to be seen and rules. Took our photo for us. Museum had a lot of wonderful stagecoach history as well as rodeo history. At least 1-2 hours to read everything. They also had a great art exhibit going on. Gave Restaurant suggestions to us. Had good size gift shop.

I love this museum. I have been here before, I have referred other people here, and I will return any time I'm visiting. In honesty, I could not care less about the rodeo aspect. I routinely breeze right past most things referencing the Frontier Days and the costumes and the saddles. But the carriages, wagons, and buggies are worth the price of admission. They are fascinating and beautiful, and I wish there were even more of them. The gift shop is a bit crowded, as though whoever stocks it lost a bet and as a result isn't allowed to say no to any merchandising offer. 60 designs of t-shirts, not a one of them good. I went in very much wanting to buy something, and ended up with a single enamel pin; the one item I could find referencing the carriages, and not the frontier days, or rodeos, or the concepts of cowboys in general. That said, the reason I even went in there is because I wanted to support how much I enjoy the carriage museum, and I wholeheartedly encourage a visit.

Personally, I wish they had more exhibits. It was as if the museum was attempting to write a story but ran out of paper. The carriages and wagon collection is by far one of the best anyone can find. Period.

Very cool place, all the old carriages and the history behind them was my favorite part! I wont spoil it with all my pictures but here is a couple. I believe admission was $10 per person One could easily spend 2 hours here reading all the history.
