Located at the south end of the 16th Street Mall. This area could be beautiful but was very seedy with tons of homeless along with fencing blocking off parts of the park. Not a pleasant place to visit. It is a large and open space where locals picnic, jog, cycle and attend events - they were setting up a concert during my visit. There are plenty of sculptures, memorials and art exhibits about, with plenty to keep you busy. It is worth walking around after you've walked around the Capitol building.

This is a great place for a walk. It is beautifully kept and designed. My only reservation is that it has the feeling and air of a place that is just emerging from a very trying time. My hope is that they can continue to improve and maintain its integrity as Colorado's center of government.

Civic center park is absolutely beautiful. The park workers did a great job of cleaning it up & having everything ready for the Colorado Avalanche championship celebration. 👏 It was an awesome atmosphere all the way around. 👌

As a 57 year Colorado native, seeing the city & county building lit for Christmas 🎄 is one of my favorite Colorado traditions! The city has moved the mile high tree from its original location to city center park [as well as the Christkindlmarket is nearby] .. The park can be hit or miss in dealing with the homeless population. Currently, they have dispersed the encampments. Be careful in surrounding areas .. and always be on your toes visiting downtown Denver. Sadly, it is not the same city I knew & loved.

Civic Center Park is situated between the Civic Center and the state Capitol building. They usually have the Civic Center lit up with lights during holidays and they had it lit up in support of Ukraine on 2/26/22. The area was nicer before they blocked off the park across the street due to homeless encampments. Still a nice place to visit to see holiday lights or outdoor events that were typically held in Civic Center Park. Accessible parking was found on the south side of the Civic Center.

My fiance and I went for the Christkindlmarket event! It was a lovely experience and they had the buildings lit up with a giant Christmas tree. We were able to park nearby for $5 for 3 hours of fun.

I love this area! Interesting architecture, giant fountain, and beautiful gardens. Downsides: the amount of homeless people we saw doing drugs, no trashcans, and no restrooms (no idea where you would go if you're in the area and need to use one).

Should be called “Homeless Park”. Within 20 minutes I saw a two homeless men fight, was offered crack, and my wife catcalled. Really unfortunate because the park itself is pretty.

We walked to downtown from the Denver art museum and found this park in the middle. Most of the ways were closed probably because of holiday. There was no homeless. Good place to take pics and play.

I had an amazing time! There were all these people everywhere celebrating rainbows and butterflies. Denver Gay Pride was AMAZING!

I have a million memories of this place but they overall have done an ok job of managing it and events. Who knows what it will look like from time to time but the buildings are always great.

Nice place for music events. Should be more here! That would be fantastic. Either way it's a nice place to spend an afternoon on the grass while hanging out downtown.

We went when they had all the chirstmas lights and Christkindlmarket. It was a beautiful and very clean park. Plenty of parking around the area. Both times I went, I didn't have to pay parking. We went to the market in the morning, and it was better than the Chicago one imo. Far less crowded and more enjoyable to go through the vendors. The food also tasted amazing. The market closed at 9 pm when we went, but the Christmas tree and lights were still on. Great photo opportunities 👌. Just be careful at night. There are a lot of sketchy walking around, so it would be best to go with somebody else.

Like many others, my first experience here for any length of time was at Christkindlmarket. It was a good experience! Somewhat long lines for food but they moved quickly. The mug mulled wine was tasty and we moved quickly to get our refills. The whole thing ends a little sooner than you’d like, the park itself closes at 9. Initially it was a bit too crowded for my taste but the snow and cold cleared some people out and gave me some breathing room. 😌

We went here specifically during Christmas and it was Chris target and man are their decorations beautiful. Even if you don’t enjoy the Christmas market there. It’s worth walking over to because the way that they’ve decorated everything is beautiful. Christmas market was pretty good just as a recommendation, the prices were quite high, but I’ve noticed that prices in Denver are very quiet I even though I live in New York City.

Nice place to chill, there a two lakes full of ducks, it's great to just walk around and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. I wish it would have a reliable wifi connection so that it would be possible to do some work from the park.

Like most things in Denver, this park is exceptionally clean. Very neat architecture and lots of open space. The only reason this gets 4 stars is due to the amount of homeless that like to congregate here, though they didn't bother me.

This was a pleasant experience during our visit to see Colorado State Building , Denver Downtown and to see Golden Triangle and same to stop at Civic Center park. Really this was amazing to see all these attractions. This was a weekend and there was a small bazaar during this time in the park.

This place is generally closed for public because of increasing homeless traffic in the area.. this park is really good for outdoor shows .. exact in the middle of capitol building and municipal building.. no public restrooms available in the area.. this park contains lot of historical monuments and statues..visit in daylight..

Beautiful space. Surprisingly, not very walkable, with lots of traffic and public transit driving around this area. However, with that you have fewer around you!

This is a great resource for the people while a ton of people can and do use this spot to exercise their freedom to assemble more people should use this more often... it’s a great place to go feed squirrels 🐿 or the homeless also a great place for a quick lunch 🥙 break... also some awesome photo backdrops no matter which direction you facing something exciting is going to be happening... never a dull moment in this park it will keep you on your toes...

For the Christmas & holiday season, pretty cool lights & show. First time in 32 years of living in CO that I made it downtown Civic center park, for the lit up season, other than driving past & the Nuggets Championship event.

The Christmas market was awesome! We had a fun time here and love it! Parking was tough to find but you gotta pay like $10 and go inside and check out the market. Place was so packed you have to stand in line for food and was worth it ! Can’t wait for next year!

We went to the Christmas market yesterday and it was a blast! It was pretty chilly last night, but we had a good time. There was a warming hall, small fires to stand around, and warm wine to help with the cold temps 😊

Great place for a concert. Spacious with room to spread out. Lots of port-o-potty’s, food trucks, and beverage lines so no wait was longer than usual. The fenced off the flower gardens so they wouldn’t get trampled which seemed very nice for the flowers. Online there were very unreasonable purse and bag size limitations but no one seemed to adhere to them and no one with a purse larger than 4.5x6.5 inches was given a hard time at all through security. They were searched though.

Good civic center and pretty clean. Parts are under construction so it’s a bite noisy in the park. Worth checking out if you are in the area.

We went to the Christkindlmarket and it was really cool! The food is AMAZING you have to try the Christmas platter at the kielbasa stand. The mile high tree light show is stellar! Better lay down and look up once inside the tree for the full effect!

Came here in the beginning of November and I loved it. The tree was beautiful and we took as many photos as we could! I would recommend stop by during the winter time!

Such a beautiful park! Well maintained with flowers and beautiful green grass. A huge super cool pillar archway/corridor with the cutest fountain. Lots of spaces that would be great for picnics, yoga, reading a book, laying back watching the clouds, or just taking a stroll. An all around gorgeous & relaxing environment.

The structures at Civic Center Park are over 100 years old. Elected in 1904, Mayor Speer believed in the power of civic beauty to provide an uplifting environment. Come walk around the full park and take in the beauty and history of Denver! The courthouse is fully lit daily with colors to match the current celebration of the time of year, but Christmas is a time you will never forget!

Awesome Atmosphere! Park was cleaned up very well with alot of security presence for the Pre Fourth of July celebration. Food trucks were great! Especially the BBQ Truck and Chicken Finger Food Trucks, They Nailed it.

I visited and did magic for Denver pride and had a great time. The park itself converts nicely and the grounds are in great shape since Denver now fences in the park to prevent vagrancy and litter when there isn’t an event.

It's been a decade since I last got to actually walk around the park. I hope if you chose to visit the park. You get to see the tulips 🌷 in full bloom. The city tends tulips in the park that always are a nice treat for passers-bys.

So very sad to see boarded windows on all sides of the park. To feel afraid in an area I used to picnic in the grass, volunteer at the Peoples fair, frequent the Art Museum, enjoy the hub of the city, Not anymore, its horrible

Right now, because of covid19 increased unemployment, there are a lot of homeless people sleeping in this area and may not be a suggested destination. But during any other time, this is a nice place to go take pictures.

This place is a vortex... I haven't left it's mile radius in over a year. All my friends are named things like Gator, Shiz, and Onion. I once asked the deepest of all the universes questions but now I mostly just ask for change. Home sweet home, where dreams go to die.

Scenic walkways through beautifully- manicured gardens and Renaissance-era architecture. Conveniently located between the Colorado State Capital building and the Denver Courthouse/Judicial building, as well as being directly adjacent to the Denver Public Library, a 5 minute walk to the Denver Art Museum & Hotel (#1 hotel in Denver) and to the 16th Street Mall & Civic Center Station (with connecting RTD routes: #8 [Wagon Rd. PnR], #19 [106th & Melody], #48 [ 68th & Dahlia via 48th & Brighton Stn.], #83L [Nine Mile], #FF4 [Boulder Junction] & Mall Ride [Denver Union Station-15 minute bus ride w/ bus stops at each block down the 16th Street Mall [Union Station connections to: Commuter Rail/Light Rail/Local & Regional RTD Bus routes].

The evening I was there October 11th in the evening the park appeared to be freshly sodded and what was a roadway between the park and Civic Center has become a pedestrian and bike thoroughfare finished off with a very nice mural

I had an awesome time in Denver for the greater greener conference. The park looks nice for the most part. Not sure if all those works were done because of the conference. I also observed a lot of homeless around the park which is typical for big city. The civic center was very nice, I love the art that are on display upstairs. The garden outside was nicely done but there is potential for better design and maintenance. Overall Denver is a great place to visit I must say a clean city as well. I love you Denver the mile high city.

Great historical building. Very beautiful from inside and outside. Easily accessible and to locate. Staff is very helpful too. Must visit place in downtown Denver. You get to see the Senate and House. They have guided tours every hour. Do have to register in advanced though.
