This review is more about the CMC group that often works out of this building... they're incredible. Very welcoming, knowledgeable + just fun to be around. Great organization to look into of you're looking for outdoor education + training.

Hosted a film screening there recently in combination with the American Alpine Club and Patagonia. Sam was extremely patient in helping me understand the AV system for the beautiful Foss Auditorium. Plenty of seating and great venue for "after hours" events, the security guard even helped close down the building after a late night so I didn't have to!

I believe this to be a legitimate mountaineering club that actively climbs the Table Top mountain and other surrounding mountains. I'm not a member nor do I know anything about the organization.

The Colorado Environmental Film Festival has hosted our festival at the AMC every year for 17 years! The venue location can't be beat in downtown Golden, and is perfect for our audiences with many versatile spaces to adapt to unique needs of an event. All the staff, from Sam and Melanie to the team that worked with us daily 8am-midnight, go the extra mile to ensure our needs were met in a timely and efficient manner. They were so flexible and willing to make sure everything was perfect to our unique needs as a film festival. We look forward to returning to the AMC year after year!

Great experience! Our 3 day business event ran smoothly with wonderful assistance from the AMC staff. Theater has superior sound and a surprising amount of seating. Event Center proved an excellent area for meals and breakout training. Guests used break time to explore the many displays and wonderful old architecture. Highly recommended.

We've been holding meetings here since 2010 & before - great place for a statewide meeting (closer to Western slope than downtown Denver). Nice folks, flexible facility.

We hosted an event for over 100 people at the AMC and it went off without a hitch! They set up the room just as requested, fielded our AV questions on a Sunday afternoon, and made sure we had someone to call in case we ran into any problems. Would definitely host there again.

This is a perfect facility for meetings and events. The staff is very professional, available, prompt and helpful. The facility and location is great with many hotels and restaurants within walking or short driving distance. They have a parking lot which helps when hosting group events. Attendees at a recent gathering here raved about the venue and location. 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a great place to hold an event. I have hosted two large events here, one a celebration and one a fundraiser. Both were successes. Great space, good adjustable lighting, clean, lots of parking and well run. Easy to access, both from a driving perspective and getting your supplies into the event space. Having the American Alpine Club, The Colorado Mountain Club and the Colorado Trail in the building is a bonus and gave our events additional character. For outdoor people, the museum, displays, and library are fantastic. I highly recommend the venue. As we were taking down from my last event a wedding party was setting-up . By the time I left, they were already in full swing and having a fabulous party. They also made a great choice.

Was there for Colorado Cowboy Poetry gathering which is an annual event in January and is great fun. Upon entering the building I noticed a sizable climbing wall and numerous meeting or class rooms. The auditorium is quaint but seats were uncomfortable for long performances.

Wonderful little museum that takes guests to.all the best mountains in the world and instructs the visitor on how to climb them.

Cool museum that doubles as an excellent event venue. Staff were incredibly responsive to our requests as we worked through the layout and timing of our event.

We hosted our All Staff Training at the AMC. The staff was great and very accommodating for our large group. We will definitely rent their space again!

We LOVE holding events here. The staff are so helpful with technology and really responsive. The space is very flexible and inviting. We host all day meetings here every year.

The American Mountaineering Center, and specifically the Mountaineering Museum was a great place for our organization to host a fundraising event. The staff communicated well and gave us all of the tools we needed to be able to host roughly 60 guests. We had access to the area for the entire day in order to set up properly, and we had good assistance before and during the event.
