This place is so magical. It’s exactly what our world needs. in a time of rushing around and fast living this is a perfect place to practice just slowing down and enjoying the process. It’s quiet, the feng shui is done well and with insight. The tea makers are calming and kind. Talking with the owner is sure to bring about intelligent, new and different conversations.

Little Woods has to be the coziest spot Downtown Ames and brings me so much joy every time I visit. From their perfectly curated selection of books to their thoughtfully crafted custom tea blends and accessories. It is a great spot for a gift for others or to become a regular yourself. My top 3 favorites visiting here would be the incredible (and knowledgeable) people behind the tea bar, ordering spices by the ounce and the delicious baked goods made from scratch. We are so lucky to have this gem in our community! I highly recommend this place to not only tea drinkers but also anyone looking for a spot with great products and super friendly staff. Plus bonus that there is a cute outdoor patio!

What a fun and cute little shop! We loved the art installations, the product displays, and the overall aesthetic. The staff were fun to talk to and answered our questions politely (bless them lol), and we ended up leaving with several very wonderful teas to bring back.

One of my happy places while living in Ames. The shop is cozy and hosts a large variety of herbs and spices. My favorite teas are the eternal youth, fireside, heart tonic, tulsi, and honeybush. They also make dynamite scones.

Little Woods is a charming shop that offers many varieties of tea and herbs. They also offer gift sets and accessories to go along with their product. I have sent many tea sample boxes as thank you gifts to my friends. I also enjoy cooking with their herbs, a wide variety with many special blends. The atmosphere is pleasant and calming. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. When I bring my friends with me from out of town they always enjoy the experience. I have also recommended Little Woods to many others who cannot make the trip to Ames to go online and check out their online store. Overall a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend a visit to Little Woods Herbs and Teas.

Company lures you with a discount them never gives you a discount and tells customers for weeks they'll get a refund and it never happens. I like to shop locally but not from a company that is dishonest and does nothing to correct the issue. Update: I did get my refund but only after I posted a negative review. Funny how that suddenly happens and a sudden 'explanation' they couldn't have told me weeks ago. This wasn't about the refund. It's about the company not being honest about why I wasn't getting the refund and kept putting me off and saying 'oh, you'll get it in a week' then nothing for weeks and I emailed again and they say 'oh, you'll get in a few days' then nothing. Transparency and honesty are rather important, whether you're a big company or small, local or not.

Friendly little shop with lots of looseleaf teas and a good menu of hot and iced beverages. Lots of books and zines on teas, herbs, foraging, etc as well!

Excellent quality tea. Great, friendly owners, who will help educate and recommend teas that you might like if you don't know what you want. They are also currently following all recommended covid precautions, so I felt safe going in to grab my cup of tea. I highly recommend the fireside tea or the twilight tea blend, both are unique and very flavorful!

Wonderful vibe. The owner & staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The teas are delicious both when prepared in-store and when purchased and brewed at home! The Moon Tisane and Panic Formula teas have been lifesavers. Their teas make a great gift on their own, but they also sell other items (books, teapots & tea cups, etc.) that are lovely items to gift. Definitely recommend stopping here!

What a surprise in downtown Ames! I come here every time I visit. A wonderful selection of teas to take home, or sip and shop. Herbals, of course, but delicious greens and blacks for people like me who suffer no fuss. The people who work here are also consistently a delight.

Wonderful tea house in Ames! Wide selection of teas and supplies, and decent seating areas to relax while you're there. They even had someone singing and playing live, mellow holiday tunes while I was there. A nice touch!

This is a lovely tea place. I’m glad I found this little gem today. They sell loose leaf tea and have a small cute collection of tea tools, pots, etc. The vibe is relaxing and the tea is good. Will become a regular here.

Spotted this little tea shop on my way to the library and I'm so happy I walked in. They had exactly what I was in the mood for which was a matcha latte with a floral/vanilla hint to it. The tea shop is sooo cute and cozy. The staff is knowledgeable, and does above and beyond to meet your needs. I'll definitely be stopping by again. Thank you ladies!
