A really cool public sunbathing and swimming area, it opens out to the open harbour water. There is shower facility and even in the cool summer nights when it was still very bright, it’s not uncommon to find people jumping into the waters and swimming around. We asked one guard on duty there and he said the water is not very clean because it’s a harbour and there are ships and boats around, but the authorities check the water everyday.

It’s a great place to spend some outdoors time in the city center. It’s also possible to swim, and there is a tower to jump from. There is often music for people dance, and there are also places to lay down. There is also a place where you can go with children are they can enjoy the water. However, in terms of water quality, this is not the best place to swim.

Loved this place, I sat there for over an hour! Beautiful view on the islands close by. There are some children and swimmers but not annoying as the place is huge.

Nature ocean swimming pool. Absolutely amazing. You need to be in excellent shape to swim in the icy water unless it’s a hot summer day. Oslo is a perfect example of a tasteful modernization to combine its rich heritage and natural surroundings. It’s hard to modernize an ancient city full of historic buildings, and it’s even harder to balance it with ample resources for outdoor activities.

I wished I could jump in an open ice bath in Oslo, it’s one of the place I love the most! The world, developing country can find a spot for Public to enjoy like this! Amazing gift from the nature and city planner - government.

It’s great that free facilities like this are provided. If it’s a nice summers day, get in early to get a good spot. Water temp was fresh but not that bad.

Very nice and clean. There were no people because the day we came it was cold. Everything made of wood. My kind of style. Best regards.

Nice place to be on the summer with possibilities for a bath and several restaurants and an ice cream bar to choose from if one needs such things. The ice cream is very tasty by the way!

Hard to believe, but the water is warm enough for a good swim. Loved the diving platform and the over all design is beautiful. Very accessible for people in wheelchairs, even special swimming areas. Great for simple sun bathing too

Sørenga is a beautiful waterfront resort next to the opera house and the munch museum. Sørenga allows maximum 200 people at the same time. Overcrowded on sunny days. Guards are checking the line, and also will take action if they see anyone is drinking beers or wine. Closing at 10pm due to many neighbors living there. Way better to visit Ulvøya or Katten if you want more space and privacy.

Probably the most beautiful place to spend a sunny evening in Oslo. Fantastic swimming conditions, lots of food and drink options nearby.

Great place to relax, sunbath and swim. But this place isn't for people who wanted peace and quiet. It is just within Oslo city near Opera house. It has place for both adults and children. They also have coast guards for emergency specially summer.

Beautiful wooden decks, clean and perfect for a lie down in the sun, or a quick dip of you want to brave the cold water. Great view of the islands. There are free public toilets, but they smell very strong. A shallow sandy area for kids to play safely.

What a beach in a modern sense of the word where man has claimed a piece of the sea and adapted it to the needs of the community. The development e captures whole neighborhood built sustainably and with thought into the future. A marvel of urban planning and architecture. Missing only a higher diving tower for the amateur adrenaline seekers and pro divers .Must visit in summer time both for locals and tourists.
