Restaurant Japanese restaurant

👍👍 Amazing food and lovely service. The miso and smoked buttermilk eggplant in particular was incredible. So good to have a quality Japanese fusion restaurant and not another greasy spoon takeaway joint. Will be back and cannot recommend enough. People often mention great, good, eggplant,

The friendly staff here really go above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant meal. The space is great. Ample parking at the back or nearby. Nice selection in the menu and good value. Some imported Japanese soft drinks which are great. Had the Chicken nanban, really enjoyed it for lunch. Generous portion size and tasted great, nice texture. Hope to return to try more soon. Highly recommended.

Best Kaisen donburi ever. Well decorated with fresh sashmi. Also eggplant is so delicious (bottom black and white sauce is well matched with miso flavour). And potato chip is so crunchy and delicious ( not ordinary potato chips (want to know the recipe). Definitely will revisit.

After a quick drink at Lune Bar which is just a short walk away we arrived looking forward to our meal at Tsubaki. The service that we received was excellent all night and the food was delicious. We tried a fair chunk of the menu but I am keen to return to try more. Great wine list as well.

Pleasantly surprised, had a range of dishes and enjoyed each one. Sashimi was so fresh, eggplant dish so tasty, loved the aged tofu and matcha dessert. Looking forward to coming back again. Cosy small restaurant but that reminds me of Japan.

Tsubaki is a hidden gem for Japanese fusion in Adelaide. The service is friendly, the food came out a bit slow but we think the wait is well worth it. Miso Buttermilk eggplant is to-die-for, omurice is so juicy and flavorful, the steak is great (the plate could be warmer) with crispy yet soft inside layered potato chips! Everything was so delicate and cooked with love!

The miso buttermilk eggplant was the best! So crispy and juicy, I’ll come back just for it! The pork ribs melted in the mouth but the pork skewers were a bit dry. Staff was incredibly friendly and warm, will come back!

Really highly recommend this place. Went there for lunch today and was so quiet so we thought they probably not as good as the google rate. But they surprised me. The sashimi quality obviously much better than some other Japanese restaurant. If you are sashimi lover then I would say that you won’t regret to try it. My favorite dish was Beef Tataki. It was special dish written on the wall. If you like raw beef, try it!!!! The seared scallops was tasty too. The wagyu beef and Unagi Donburi was good but didn’t surprise me. But if you want a quick meal, then Donburi could be a good choice. Highly recommend this place.

Food was subpar for the price, we ordered several main dishes plus entrees and nothing tasted great. There were few people dining, venue was quiet and atmosphere was low. The highlight was our friendly wait staff who took our orders and answered our questions.

I visited this restaurant with two friends for the $75 omakase menu. The food was tasty, but I felt it didn't quite justify the price. The waiter didn't clarify if we were still getting another dish or not, which was a bit confusing. Additionally, the portion sizes were small for three people, and only one dessert for the group felt inadequate. The eggplant dish was disappointingly greasy. Overall, the food was good, but the value and service left something to be desired.

Tsubaki is a hidden gem in the Eastern suburbs. Japanese dining with a twist. I have eaten here several times and have yet to try something that is not delicious. I recommend the omakase (feed me) to get a good sampling of the food. They have a small but considered wine list. Rice bowls available for lunch are great value. Service can occasionally be a little amateur, but always friendly.

😐 American styled joint. Thick shake was thick enough. Chocolate peanut butter tasted so good. The ice cream was just a normal ice cream with a fancy name. Burgers are small in general. Buns were soft. Lettuces have shrunk. Shroom patty is the best here. Beef patty a little dry. Onion rings were crisp...

😠 I don't normally give negative reviews unless a product or service continues to disappoint. It's happened here at Vili's too often now. After purchasing a Pie and Kitchener bun drove back to work, pie was ordinary yet when it came to the Kitchener bun that was the final straw. Stale beyond belief, w...
