Adelaide Oval is one of the most iconic cricket ground in Australia. Located in North Adelaide just across the river Torrens, it is considered as one of the most picturesque grounds in the world. It was established in 1871 and recently completed its 150 year anniversary and the home to cricket, football, rugby, shows, concerts and events. Was quite impressed with stadium tour which was very knowledgeable and highly recommend if you want to know more about the ground.

Overall a great experience. Footy games are a whole different vibe! So many great opportunities at Adelaide oval located in North Adelaide, right across from the River Torrens. Roofclimbs, catering, weddings, accommodation, concerts. Would highly recommend to anyone for any type of experience. You won't be disappointed.

One of the most iconic Cricket ground in Australia. I enjoyed watching world cup T20 cricket there. It was a great experience.

Magnificent venue. Modern features but steeped in history. The bar and hotel area is top notch. Had dinner at the Bespoke restaurant. Unreal. Service is great. Try the Tomahawk steak!

We came here to watch some of the AFL matches as part of the Gather Round Festival and it was a lot of fun. The stadium itself is huge with multiple entrances (make sure you enter through the correct one) and there’s several levels (which can get confusing when searching for your seat). There’s also typical stadium food available for purchase. Overall, great place to come watch a game or event!

Awesome experience Guess I don't need to talk about the stadium and it's history which is well known anyways. The experience at the Don Bradman pavilion and seeing the scoreboard and the whole standing in such close proximity was mindboggling Fantastic

Great amenities, ample bathrooms and good staff, particularly Western Stand but haven't had any issues elsewhere. Great place to watch Port win, unless it's against the Crom or Pies or Finals. Actually well priced for a stadium, though still expensive. I've been to a few grounds around Australia and AO is one of the best.

We were in the mtx club. This was a great way to enjoy the game. There is a restaurant up there with a fireplace and takeaway burgers, chips etc. Multiple bars to order drinks from and plenty of table and chairs. The stadium is stunning. I loved this experience.

One of the greatest cricket stadiums I've ever seen. Great venue for everyone, with all the facilities when needed. Maintaining really well, and beautiful architecture. Located in the city with easy access to transport facilities. Ample parking available close to the venue.

Adelaide oval! What more is there time say?! Well laid out. Enough toilets spread around. Good food and drink options. Close to hotels and public transport.

Did the tour, my advice, do the tour! Our guide, Chris, was so knowledgeable. So much history around the AO and he knew it all and boy can he walk fast. The old scoreboard is a historical standout in this age of technology. The Bradman museum, the change rooms, the story behind Victor Richardson...wow! So much to take in. Thanks AO and Chris.

Love this place so much. Tarntanya, Kaurna Lands, the home of the kangaroo dreaming. Adelaide Oval. Lived here for seven months and have been to two x SANFL Australian Rules Football matches (#COYDB), and one ODI cricket match. Well, call it a half. 4/8.5ths. Will be going lots more and... Oh wait. First thing I did after dropping out of the skies in June/July 2023: the rooftop walk plus lean back over the edge of the river stand. Talk about feel the fear and do it anyway. Farouk mee sighed weighs. 😯🫨🤯 Cheers, Adelaide Oval. Love ya gutz.

Great venue… excellent staff and well managed place. The food stalls are not bad. Recently I’ve found out that different stalls got different menu. Years I’ve been going to the same one close to my seat but this year I went to the next food stall which looked the same but they had fish & chips and also tacos!!

Such a beautiful place with a great location and amazing view. Easy public transports to go to the Oval for any events. Highly recommended the Oval tour to see it in details and know its wonderful history and hidden gems. The Oval tour runs twice a day at 11am & 2pm.

Great place to watch footy or cricket! The facilities are great. Being located so close to the CBD it's only a short walk across the Torrens. Love the fact that they open up the stadium to the public when not in use!

Love going to the footy here. Perfect place to take the family for a great day out. Lots of activities for the kids in the kid zone during football games. My kids loved checking how high they could jump

Very nice and modern stadium. We were there to see Guns n' Rose's. It only gets 4 stars as the exit was on the opposite side to the car park and with only 2 exits on to a small road it took a very long time to exit and get across the river.

Great stadium as seats on the lower level are pretty close to the ground. The only issue is that people who see the first 2 rows that you can't buy are fill up from people just wandering down. Security very laxed on that front. Around the stadium is great as plenty of benches to stand around to eat or drink. The rooftop walks look pretty good for the dare devil

It was my first live cricket experience and I absolutely loved it. The design of The Oval is fabulous with great views. Food and drink choices are perfect for match days. Too bad India lost but the experience was complete worth the money. Felt thrilled to see the Indian cricket team in the pre match training and of course also the beautiful fireworks.

An iconic infrastructure in South Australia, haven’t been to so many Oval but this is to me the best venue for any cricket events in the world. Love going there again and again and enjoy watching matches after matches. Been to the entire Oval tour couple of time and visited like players dressing room, media room every where and loved it. It created an attachment to me.

The place is really amazing, and Marvellous. If you want to experience best and top notch hospitality do visit this Hotel. Housekeeping staff are really doing a great job as you won’t be able to find any dust on any of the furniture tops or side tables. The aroma of the room is so beautiful. Front office staff: They are really best at providing all the information and the help you need for your stay. The special note thing which they do is really cute and good intangible experience. Food is at their best as well. Strongly recommend you too visit this property

Fantastic arena, lots of history and a beautiful setting. The tour was informative, and the guide was super knowledgeable. Would definitely come back, and can't wait to see a cricket or football match here.

Such a spectacular view from the stands. Attended a function in the Ian McLachlan room, well catered for and had an abundance of kind, cheerful staff. All in all, a beautiful sunny afternoon 😎

We had really looked forward to this over night stay. We were not impressed with the room. Small at best and we had paid for the next level up. Service in general was poor. Grumpy staff when we had drinks in the afternoon overlooking the oval. An extremely poor selection of beers, no South Australian beers on the menu. Not impressed. Staff were also unable to find the key to let everyone out to sit by the oval. Very little furniture outside for guests. Then after the best parts were full, everyone else had cheap outdoor furniture to sit on. Room service was on time, but the food was cold. Breakfast was ok. But it seems that chef thinks poached and hard boiled eggs are the same thing 🤔. Overall the hotel stands by itself. Not easy to access other restaurants on foot. Which leaves you with only being able to eat at the Oval. Which is extremely disappointing, when they don't even have lunch available. Nothing until 3pm. Only room service. Nothing like eating a cold club sandwich and chips 😒 Although the tablet controls are good. They are not good at night when you need something. They are awkward. 🚘 Parking is expensive, be careful with driving in and out$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Overall I can't imagine telling overseas friends that it would be a great place to stay. Disappointing

One of the most impressive stadium I have been so far. Best venue for footy sports esp cricket game. Complete facilities, very well maintained, accessible to public transport, centrally located in Adelaide, roght across Torenns Bridge, nearby casino, convention center, hospital, parks, entertainment, few parking spaces too.

Best footy ground in the Southern Hemisphere - especially when Port Power is there to play hard. Great venue for kids, well serviced during games and events, plenty of toilets and kiosks available when needed. All round well placed in the city and there is plenty of transport to and from the venue. Hope you enjoy a visit one day

Great experience. Due to limited crowd, moving about to buy refreshments, etc was smooth running. The oval is top notch and a great venue to watch the footy ❤

The Oval staff from my experience were very attentive, there when you needed them and quick to respond to requests with utmost professionalism. Finding ones way around can be a bit tricky initially. There are a number of hotels just a short walk away so accommodation for delegates was easily sourced. I would recommend this as a conference venue for those that want something a little different.

Loved my trip across the bridge to the really well done redeveloped Adelaide oval, it’s so good to see how it’s now a big modern stadium with a hotel and 50,000 plus seats but it’s kept the old score board and hill. Would of been good to see more of the behind scenes stuff like change rooms etc on the tour but it’s a must see if your sports fan in Adelaide.

Visited Adelaide Oval for the first time to watch GWS v port. Adelaide Oval is truly a great sporting ground, I was amazed by the small old ground feel that’s mixed with modern new stands. Crowd of 45k

A fairly good stadium combining the old and traditional (cricket boards) with the new (big spectator grandstand). Well located in the city with a nice short walk over the bridge from North Terrace side.

We came to the adelaide oval for a christmas work function. Service was awesome, food came out in a timely manner, tables were attended quickly. The only issue i have is the limit of drink they have at the bar. They didn't serve shots or cocktails.

Just a short picturesque walk across the pedestrian bridge, in the heart of Adelaide. It's a great mix of modern and history. Great atmosphere

Fantastic stadium in Australia, this is home to the Adelaide Crows and Port Adelaide Power AFL teams, and also home to the Adelaide Strikers cricket big bash team, and to international cricket test matches, T20 and one day matches in Australia. I went to the Crows v North Melbourne match and the crowd atmosphere was electric. The place to be is on the hill, but you won’t be able to see the other part of the ground fully. You need to be somewhere in the middle and on the second level to get a great view but it will cost you money. The stadium has several food and drink stations so you won’t go hungry or thirsty during any footy or cricket match. The stadium is a short walk from Adelaide central train station and it is a really nice walk along the riverbank.

Magnificent structure. All stadiums are obviously designed to cater for large crowds but AO is efficient. Even with 50,000 in attendance the concourse feels spacious. Also lots of sanitary facilities for the ladies so no excessive queues. I do however wish stadiums had a kid friendly area for little ones to stay safe and roam, but maybe that’s too much to ask as viewing space is money!

This was my second visit to the Oval. This time, it was a great experience. The winter package deal included valet parking, complimentary drink and chocolates (very small box), and a 3 course meal at Bespoke. Good value. Room 628 was great, a bit more spacious than the last room I was in. The view was amazing. Staff happily and promptly provided requested softer pillows and a shower chair. A discounted breakfast was offered and enjoyed.

We visited this nice stadium for the first time and of course, to witness a great battle between Adelaide Crows & Gold Coast Suns with a pleasant result Haha. We were truly amazed by the astonishing structure and design of the Oval as one of the most iconic footy stadiums in Australia. Did not even think that from the outside the Oval could be such a masterpiece. We would definitely be back there for another match.

First time to a showdown between the Adelaide Crows and Port Power. First time seated on Level 5 in the Riverbank Stand. First time climbing that many levels and stairs before even having a beer. These photos don't do the view justice. I was amazed at how good the actual view is from up there. I really mean "up there", because we were Row AA which is after they had gone through the first A to Z rows below us 😏 If you want to go to an event at Adelaide Oval and your only option is tickets in the "nosebleeds", don't be put off. You may be pleasantly surprised at how great the view of the oval is. I won't even complain about the 3000 stairs because my cardiovascular health gets the benefit of the climb in the long run 🪜❤️😂

Always room for improvement. The State of Origin was awesome but the crowd at the line up for the Bars blocked of the walkways making it hard for people to get around. Other than that. The atmosphere and night was awesome.
