We stayed for 4 nights over Anzac weekend 2023. The park itself was great for the kids but the customer service is disgraceful. I had rung the park to discuss the best cabin options to accommodate our sleeping arrangements with two children (4yrs) and (13weeks) needing bassinet space. We wanted to arrive Friday and leave Tuesday. This was clear over the phone. Booking and deposit made and paid over the phone. The balance email came through the day before to which I quickly jumped on my phone during my lunch break and paid. Having spoken to someone on the phone and seeing the first email state departure Tuesday I thought all was good. On arrival the cabin we choose was spacious but was completely run down compared to the photos. Not cleaned correctly and items left behind. On the Sunday (3rd) night while cooking at the BBQ down by the bounce pillow and pump track the gas bottle emptied mid cook while other families were also waiting. I called the office to let them know and politely asked if there were any replacement bottles. The response I got back was- “Changing a gas bottle is not high on our priority at the moment”.. .. Um,.. excuse me? What type of customer service is that? It was 5:15pm (the start of peek dinner cooking for MOST families with young children IN a family park) ,.. and to the staff, Changing a gas bottle is not high on their priority. That’s absolutely disgusting. The reason we were using the bbq was because the oven in our cabin didn’t work! On top of that WASPS. Wasps everywhere. Every time we went to the BBQ and the pool, wasps. We couldn’t eat outside of our cabin on the deck watching the sun set behind the trees as there were wasps. On our second to last day (Monday) I had gate issues while heading out for the day.. First Speaking to the office staff they stated they had us down as leaving Monday. This is where the customer service got disappointing. The manager came in to see what he could sort out. The manager could see and stated the original booking was for check out Tuesday. Then proceeded to say they had double booked us, someone changed our booking and was suppose to call us to cancel a day and leave earlier to accommodate the other booking. Really what business suggests cutting their customers holiday short?! The Manager then wanted to bump us out of our accommodation for a ‘smaller’ cabin for the night. After a long discussion we were able to stay in our cabin for the last night that we had actually booked for, the park manager heavily discounted the other booking for their inconvenience. We left the office thinking “Yep all good, its sorted everything is ok”. Once we came back, we again had gate pin issues. Reversing back and forth in and out the line / office trying to get the code to work all while my wife was in the car dealing with 2 children getting tired and hungry, I waited 15mins to sort it all out. It seems after the fact and 2 weeks after we had stayed, there books weren’t adding up and forgot they had stuffed up our booking on the computer marking it as Saturday to Tuesday or Friday to Monday (I don’t know at this stage, they have changed their story so many times), so they decided take out and withdrawn money out of our account with A), no prior communication B), no authorisation by myself. So with all that we went through above, the park manager was more than happy to heavily discount the other booking for their inconvenience, but still decided to charged us extra 2 weeks later for their own stuff up of changing our booking without asking or consulting us. That sounds like a Victor Harbor Holiday & Cabin Park problem not ours. I have asked the staff if the manager could kindly return my calls / emails to discuss this to which he refuses too. Absolutely disgusted with the management style. And before you comment back on this review trying to put the problem back on me or say I owed you money have another read through the stuff up the park did on the booking without consult or, authorisation, and the fact you failed to return my calls and email just proves guilt.

Stayed during the school holidays and definitely won't ever be back. One Quarter of our camp site was not usable because of a tree and its large roots, yet we paid the same price as everyone else. Other parks are monitored during busy school holiday times to ensure at night that people are respecting rules about noise after 10pm but not here. Other guests party till midnight with loud music and talking and when we tried to address the issue with staff we were brushed off. Pedal bike was broken broken when we hired it and couldn't be turned in one direction and seatbelts didn't click in either, making them useless and unsafe. Other patrons ignore the park rules about supervising their children, glass and alcohol in the pool area and accost other patrons in front of park staff who then did nothing about it. The smaller camp kitchen is not sufficiently stocked for the number of people who need to use it, one 2 slice toaster is really a bit ridiculous. Overall our experience was so bad that we left 2 days early and when we tried to give constructive feedback to staff, we were rudely interrupted because they assumed that they knew what we were about to say, which they didn't. So we gave up and left. The pool slides are great but they weren't enough to override the rest of the bad experience.

Lovely park to stay at even in the rain. Having an ensuite site makes its so easy to have the luxuries whilst camping. On-site hunger harbor is always a hit and a bloody good feed. Park is continually upgrading which is an absolute credit to the owner

We came for 2 days. We had a really good time. There was plenty of activities to do around the park which encouraged us to spend more time there. The cabin we had was amazing. We would book it again. The staff at the reception were always friendly and helpful and always had a smile on there faces. Thanks. Will be back

Excellent caravan park, plenty of spots to camp with shaded tree areas. Several camp kitchens when you need them. Multiple clean toilet blocks with showers that don't run out of hot water. Pet friendly for your extended pooch family. Bouncy pillow for the kids, pool, slide, pump track and playground. There is a community room should you want a movie night and a recreational room. Overall a great place to stay it was clean, tidy and relaxing

Second time visiting. First time in new cabins, waterside Park. Disappointed new pool want completed. Cabins very well presented and neat. Only complaint, other than family area and main bedroom, no ventilation, ceiling fans to circulate air. It wasn't even summer and the other rooms were Very stuffy! The new waterslide area, fabulous! Kids loved it! Although I would suggest staff for supervision of big tunnel slide. Watched too many kids miss using this and crashing into other's or climbing the wrong way. We will be back in October. Looking forward to it!

Great holiday park. Lot's of things for the children. Jumping pillow, play ground. Water park, mini golf and swimming pool. Would be much better if swimming pool was heated. Some really nice large sites for the bigger vans. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Water slides and two pools are great and fun to go on. The park is amazing. But the the cabin I stayed in with my mum. Was very dirty and made me uncomfortable.

This is a lovely caravan and cabin park just outside of the town. It is quiet in winter when I visited but once the weather warms up they have all sorts of activities and amenities for the family. A great place to stay!

This is such a great place to stay if you have kids. The water slides and pool were wonderful and its location to shops and other activities is perfect.

Staff were friendly, the facilities are good and toilet block clean. Fun place for children to play with the water park and mini-golf onsite. They are in the process of building a new pool, which looks like it will be a great addition when they do. It does get very crowded on school holidays, etc, so if looking for a quiet time away, best to avoid these times.

If someone knows of a better caravan park in regards to activities for families, let me know as this place has it all. In my opinion, the best family caravan park in SA. In just one night (2 days) without leaving the caravan park we played mini golf, swam in their brand new massive pool, played in the epic waterpark, had a movie night, kids went for a go-kart ride, played on the inflatable pillow and their park. Plus, we enjoyed all the usual nuances accompanying an overnight campervan stay. Fantastic.

What a great spot to set up and explore all Victor Harbour has to offer. 2 Huge childrens play areas. On site take away food van. 5mins walk to beach. Lovely amenties, bbq areas, firepits. Pet cabins are well catered for. Plenty of cabins to suit all requirements. Big sites for caravans. Loved it 💓

Perfect for family getaways. Compared to other parks with similar facilities the price was amazing. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Was able to sit at my cabin and watch my son on the jumping pillow, which he loved. Came home from a short stay and immediately booked the next one.

Was a pleasure to visit definitely will be back. Staff were fantastic and friendly. Onsite laundry had tap and pay on the washing machines which is fantastic for someone who doesn’t carry cash made life easier. Dryers do require coins but saves having to carry coins all the time.

Beautiful holiday park the kids loved the huge pools and waterslides we played mini golf and went on the BMX track, we stayed in one of the Bluff cabins and they are definitely worth the extra couple of dollars. I would recommend this park to anyone and we’ll definitely be back again….soon

Me and a few mates booked a room for the week for my birthday and we thought it would be fun to go on the jumping pillow and where all 18 so we thought it would be ok. A lady come up to us and yells at us threatening us that they would call the police if we didn’t leave, without even asking us if we had our own room we tried explaining it to her that we had a room and she wouldn’t have it. We asked why she wouldn’t listen to us and her reasoning was we are all black and that we didn’t matter

What an awesome place to stay. The kids loved it and there was more then enough to keep the kids entertained. I highly recommend visiting the Victor harbour holiday & caban park. And its in close vicinity to all the fun things you can do around town. Great friendly staff and very helpful when in need of something. If your thinking of holidaying in Victor harbour by yourself or with kids I highly recommend you have a look here. We will be coming back again.

This is a fantastic caravan park. There is lots to do for the kids and it is close to everything. It's clean, kept well and enjoyable to stay. We hope to return next year, but it gets busy, so you need to book well in advance. It's easy to see why......

A great park! Stayed in a Murray cabin near the main area. Cabin was clean and updated. Very impressed. Great facilities also. If you can't be bothered cooking they have a good take away shop in the park. Value for money. Would be great though if they either had another pool or one big one, it was a bit too crowed for me. Also a shade over the bouncy pillow would be better...otherwise all round a great park to visit 😊

Nice park with plenty of kids activities. Clean amenities, laundry, camp kitchens. A smallish pool. Staff were helpful and friendly. Plenty of sites to suit rigs of all sizes. Quiet at night with very little road noise. Well lit, safe park. Dog friendly.

Fantastic water park and slides for the kids. Some large sites and some very small sites, make sure you state your van size on booking. Limited number of bins and amenities are a walk. New ladies amenities but very old male amenities.

WOW … what an amazing holiday we just had at the Victor Harbour holiday and cabin park…. Would highly recommend staying here. We were able to get in after a last minute decision to get away for a couple of days, and lucky enough to upgrade to have an ensuite to our camper trailer. The staff was friendly and the facilities were well laid out across the park. We loved the blow up maze and especially the pool and water slides. We were able to squeeze in a game of mini golf and utilise the pump track. There was so much to do in the park we didn’t leave the park too often we had everything we needed. Can not wait to book our next trip.

This is a great park, Clean & tidy & well looked after. We had a big site with a slab that was close to amenities. Staff were friendly and very professional. Would definitely recommend if staying in Victor Harbor.

Lovely cabin, lots of things to do for the kids. We enjoyed the playground, bouncing pillow and the pedal cart. In summertime we'll check out the pool and water park. Lovely touch to have a takeaway shop on site Friday and over the weekend. Great food and great prices. Lovely staff too. We'll be back

Found it hard to locate. Once there efficient staff. Parking was confusing. However the park itself is great lots of activities to keep everyone happy. Well laid out and nice gardens etc. The unit we were in was ok, smelt a bit of cleaning products (this is good or bad). Maybe not picking but only mirror is in bathroom and shower has a large step which be we all be tripped on first time. However I would stay there again.

We stayed on a powered site in a caravan. Can’t complain about the sites as the one we were on was very roomy. Friends stayed in a budget cabin that wasn’t cleaned properly and you could feel sand all over the floor. Good amenities but dated. Great activities for the kids with the water park, playgrounds and maze. Within walking distance of local foodland.

  • 5/5 Lina P. 1 year ago on Google
We have just had fantastic weekend here and are already planning the next one! Lots for the kids to do and they were kept amused! We found the site a great size, and loved the fake grass to help keep sand out of the van. Close to the centre of town which has lots to do also

Stayed on a powered site, amazing place with loads for the kids to do. Wish the maze was set up, but that’s just nit picking. Well maintained, constantly being cleaned and super friendly staff. 100% recommend

Water park, mini golf and playground are great for kids. The Cabins are absolutely filthy, stayed in the Newland Cabin for nearly $200 a night, the whole cabin smelt of mould and urine. Looks like it never gets vacuumed, other peoples belongings left behind, there are piles of dirt and cobwebs near the skirting boards, mould in the shower. Had to purchase cleaning products to even be able to stomach to stay in there from the smells. The cooking facilities in there were also caked with grease and dust. By far the worst place we've stayed at for nearly $200 a night!

My self and our families have stayed at Victor Harbour holiday and cabin park every November/December for the past 3 years and it is our absolute favourite park! Always so much fun and some fun for everyone from the kids to the adults. The service at the front end is spectacular, always greeted with a smile and friendly welcome! This park has absolutely everything and we can’t wait to come back next year.

Lovely place. We go every year. The level of improvement over the last few years has been impressive. They're clearly spending a lot of money on it. It will be great when the pool is done. I wouldn't recommend the brick cabins if there's another option as they're quite dated. This being said, they are improving them and I haven't been inside one in a while. but the rest are great.

  • 4/5 Abbie Santiesteban C. 2 years ago on Google
Fantastic facilities, water slide, swimming pool. The pool is a little deep for younger kids so make sure you bring good floaties but slides are very safe. Mini golf was fun and inflatable pillow and playground was great. Our cabin was a pet friendly one which was a little outdated but completely functional, great outdoor sitting area and beds were SUPER comfortable. Loved the buggies to ride around the park with too. Definitely coming back, only had 3 nights, not long enough!
