Such an amazing wine bar with the most perfect collection. We came here for date night and were floored by the presentation. Amazing choices, great atmosphere and a sophisticated environment - a must visit

Unbelievable experience. Amazing selection of spirits, wines etc. Honestly, the atmosphere was beyond what we expected. And the staff… WOW!!!! Ella and Ciara were incredibly kind and introduced us to some tastes we had never heard of before: Amaro, Negroni and Sweet VAMOOTH. Thank you team. It was a great experience.

My favourite bar to visit joe and Shane are legends. All the bar staff rock Luca is a great bartender ! Honestly the nicest venue in Adelaide!

Great cozy bar off Waymouth St in the city. Featuring 3 seating areas, downstairs, upstairs in booths and outside upstairs. They have a great selection of wine, beer, cocktails and gin. Friendly and helpful staff too. Drinks can be accompanied by food from Press and Melt without even leaving the building.

I really like this place. It's an 'out of the way', friendly little place with a nice drinks selection and upmarket style of food. It feels worn, but that adds to the "another era" charm.

Cosy little two storey joint with a bijou outdoor area is a fantastic city cocktail, beer and wine joint. I visited on a Friday arvo and the place was very busy at 5pm. Would definitely recommend this place for a quick bevvy or an afternoon sesh to head into the wee hours.

Haven't tried the food but the drinks here are excellent and well worth the price, the music is not too loud its nicely subtle and the guys who are so sweet and very friendly to first comers

Offering a concise wine list, skilled bartenders capable and willing to throw together even the most obscure of cocktails (or a Penicillin in my case), and with a relaxed atmosphere, Proof Bar is the perfect spot for a late-night tipple. Highly recommend.

Absolute number one wine bar in Adelaide for us. This is always our go to on date night in the city. The staff are great, they always have something interesting on the drinks menu, and there is always a Diplimatico rum available to round out the night. There is an upstairs area which has much more capacity than downstairs, but we prefer the downstairs area for the vibe. We don't always eat here, but the toasties are pretty awesome.

I had the most amazing night laughing and getting served good drinks. Ciara and Ella were in the team behind the revolutionary experience of learning about digestives at the end of a night of eating. Forever grateful for the experience and highly recommend this bar.

Decent choice of beer, but pretty good cocktails and an informal after work atmosphere ... This is a casual place but their toasties are a surprise on the up side..

Love this back alley secret and the bar has a real cool 1930's decor feel. Ideal place for cocktails and the booths upstirs makes it a good place to catch-up with small groups. The bar staff seem to be able to make every drink and really well. I've never had the food but it's always looked good.

What used to be a hidden gem. Now too many people know about it and it's hard finding seats. But still a very great place.

It's definitely one of the best small bars in Adelaide where the friendly staff are always happy to give you some advice on a very wide variety of drinks. This is definitely my favourite bar for an after work drink, or it's the place to meet friends pre - or post dinner.

We held an event upstairs at Proof and it was perfect. From the moment we sat at the bar with a drink chatting with Joseph about the event we new we were in good hands. There is a very relaxed, unpretentious vibe about Proof. The staff are attentive, warm and professional. Highly recommended

Great management - Ciara handled a situation that could have resulted in a bad experience / birthday so professionally and level minded. She couldn’t have done better, someone extremely valuable to your team.

Need to make sure that your opening hrs are up to date in google - especially when there is no contact phone number. Our group planned an afternoon session at Proof around opening hrs from 3pm Monday ( as per google). Arrived & ….closed?

After a lunch at another restaurant with a friend we found this bar initially I loved it the atmosphere and vibe was inviting... One of the owners serving us had a great sense of humour and very personable after he finished shift the bar began to fill with evening patrons and the vibe continued to impress until the next day I checked my card purchases (I don't carry cash) to find that I had transactions that I was charged double for, so disappointing what a way to spoil my point of view of what was a lovely bar... I would still recommend this bar as the actions of one person should not counteract on the others but watch what you are being charged for, I wouldn't do open tab and check value before tapping card or use cash

Amazing food, great spirits list, attentive and friendly staff, decent beer and wine list all combine to make a great experience. The layout of the bar is quirky which makes it all the more interesting.

Grown up bar for relaxed late night drinks. Small menu also available for snacks. So glad we discovered it.

Really cool bar down an alleyway in Adelaide CBD. Moreso offering/specialising in wine over cocktails, however, both cocktails ordered were still delicious and as expected. I was snacky so ordered the truffled mushroom toastie and OMGEE it was worth the wait - probs my favourite part of the whole experience tbh. Both times I visited the upstairs balcony was pumping, which was so good to see and feel in this weird ‘post’ covid time!
