For a Sunday night meal, this place has a great vibe. Plenty of people spilling in for drinks and there was a real energy to the place. Plenty of beers on tap and quieter areas for dining. Enjoyed the hot dog; however, most of the starters are just as expensive as the mains. The schnitzel are huge!

Stayed here for one night and wished it was longer. Fantastic buzzy vibe, outstanding service and warm welcome - received totally unexpected room upgrade on account of it being a birthday trip. Completely lovely staff - super helpful, amazing minibar, coffee, bathtub. Loved it and made to feel super at home. Thank you!

This place is amazing. The staff are so friendly and they know their stuff. The hot dogs are just the best but in saying that, the whole menu is great. Lots of craft beers as well as local ones. Do yourself a massive favour and pay them a visit.

WOW!!! What an awesome place. The food was fantastic, staff had an astonishing amount of knowledge about the craft beers types on tap and wine flight, plus the accommodation upstairs was the perfect ending to the night. Will definitely be telling all my friends next time they want to spoil themselves with a night in town and want a great meal and accommodation, the Franklin Rocks!!! See you again soon.

What a great / stunning Boutique style hotel in a really nice & quiet area of Adelaide CBD ! We had such a great experience staying here and glad we made the choice to book here. As a family of three the Boutique Hotel sits above the Franklin pub and it was just perfect for what we were looking for. Unique and well appointed rooms which were also very generous on size. Easy access to the Hotel either when the pub is closed or open along with a huge upper level terrace which allows you to have food and drinks delivered by the excellent staff upstairs and simply watch the world go by. Downstairs - The staff were terrific for our entire stay. Very attentive, easy going, always happy to help and just have a really great attitude and as they are your first impressions when arriving, it makes for a really great stay and overall experience :). Whilst the Hotel doesn't cater for breakfast there are two great places literally around the corner or further down Franklin Street that would cater and allow you to kick-start the day. Overall, a terrific stay and would highly recommend !

I love this bar, their beer range is huge and it is mainly craft beers. So if love your craft beers then this is the bar you should go to. I also recommend you get their food as well. I love their gourmet hot dogs, the onion rings are super amazing and crispy, and their chips are so good. Their pub food is by far one of the best I have come across and goes well with their beer range. Highly recommend this bar if you are out for few drinks in Adelaide.

Well located near the Central Market. Small hotel above a saloon, but not too noisy even though it was a weekend. Room was spacious, lots of windows, easy access down the hall to the balcony. Bathroom was modern. Had a fridge and tea kettle but no microwave. Food at the saloon was excellent and large servings. No elevator.

Best place to stay for your visit to Adelaide, lovely clean room and bathroom, very comfy bed, with all you need plus some. Friendly welcoming helpful staff, great courtyard area, great communal balcony for hotel guests. Close to everything. Don't bother booking anywhere else . I'll def be back😁

I’ve been here many times for food and drink, it’s time to review. The food is fantastic, best schnitzel I know of in the CBD. There’s always a good craft beer selection here too, which is a big plus for me. No complaints, I can only recommend it.

Came to the Franklin Hotel for a dinner on a holiday to Adelaide with my Dad and brother. Cannot recommend it highly enough. The food is fantastic. Excellent service. Great range of craft beers and spirits too. Lovely bar and well located. This is a really top option for an Adelaide pub dinner.

It's a nice pub. Spacious and has a nice backyard/outdoorsy area. Good selection of decent drinks. Cocktails and beer are a-OK! But I wouldn't order a coffee here again anytime soon. I haven't tried any other items on the menu.

Simply excellent experience. Our room was beautiful & clean with all the extras you can need. Location or easy to get around the city. Lee was really helpful. We only had one meal there but it was really good. Defiantly would recommend a stay.

We ate at The Franklin Hotel over 2 nights with a group on the 11th and 12th of November. The staff are amazing and so helpful. The two fellows on the bar and waiting tables made our nights enjoyable and nothing was to much trouble. The food was top notch awesome chef and amazing presentation. 5 stars ⭐️

I loved staying at this boutique hotel. Cleanliness is up at the top of my list always and then quaint and warm and welcoming come close after. This boutique hotel was so fresh and clean and stylishly designed. I loved the decor and the free mini bar was such a bonus. Would highly recommend this place for a clean, warm, quaint and luxurious feel! Also, the bar and restaurant downstairs looked great. We didn’t get time to eat but it had a great vibe. The staff were friendly and laid back which is always such a lovely touch.

I'm not local to Adelaide, but if I was, this would be my local. Quality selection of Aussie beer, tap take-overs and the best hot dogs 🌭 you'll find. What else would you want?

I have to say I was really disappointed by the Franklin Boutique Hotel. I was looking forward to staying somewhere different and it failed. The main problem was the day we were leaving the Hotel was closed all day because it’s a public holiday. And although the cleaners were there, they could not advise what we could do with our bags once we checked out. If we had followed the instructions provided, we would have been locked out without our bags. So, we just had to walk the streets for the day with our bags. The other problems included: • It’s very very noisy, I know it’s an old pub, but still music till late and then woken early by reversing trucks and buses. • The shower is bizarre, although it just dribbles out, it does it in a way that can still give you a wet floor in the bedroom. • The bed was like sleeping on the floor, it was so hard we both woke up feeling sore. • The room is tiny, so small there isn’t space for a wardrobe or chairs. There is a stool but good luck sitting on it. There are some plus points: • The staff were friendly when they were available • The hotel is in a good location • Free minibar and coffee machine

We were upgraded to the superior room, purely because it was free and they would rather someone get to use it than not. The staff were so friendly, on arrival you get shown to your room and assistance with your bags if needed. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious with a lovely big comfortable bed. The bar fridge is stocked with complimentary beer, cider and soft drinks and a cute little goody bag with some snacks. They provide fresh milk and a pod coffee machine for the morning, none of the yucky instant stuff. The TV allows you to login to whatever streaming app you desire, to watch whatever you like. To top it off, they had Evo brand shampoo, conditioner, hand/body wash and moisturiser which is a lovely little luxury in comparison to the cheap stuff you usually get. The bar and restaurant is located just downstairs and you can take food and drinks to your room. Dinner and cocktails were both amazingly delicious. The bar noise can get quite loud and you can hear it from the room, however it quietened down and we had no issues with sleeping.

I’ll start off with the good things. The staff are amazing. Their hospitality is beyond good. The parking options around the hotel is also very good too. Especially with the voucher, the room was reasonably priced. Although, the food is ok. It’s nothing above average. The schnitzel was the best choice and the chips were well seasoned. The hard lemonade was a highlight too. But the hot dogs are below average. The room was stayed in was nice and clean, well laid out and easy to access. But, when we booked the superior room the expectation was a bath, which is the sole reason we booked the room in the first place. But our room did not come with a bath, apparently this is not the first time they have encountered this issue. It’s in the process of being rectified so that is positive. They were really nice about it too, they gave us a discount on our dinner as an apology which was greatly appreciated. Wheelchair accessibility isn’t something I saw as an option and there were two sets of stairs leading up to the rooms. The rooms had a coffee machine, and complimentary mini bar food/drinks. The shower had low pressure and was temperature variable, but it was nice and refreshing. They have made this older hotel into something quite nice and an overall solid experience, nothing spectacular, and I probably wouldn’t go back unless it was under a great state voucher, but it was overall good. The staff are the best part. They really made it nice for us.

Great craft beer experiences to be had within... Revolving tap list means every visit has something new. And if you're hungry, get your Frank Dog on, especially the corizo!

$15 for a "pint" that was even smaller than a normal Adelaide pint, which is already smaller than a pint from any other state. They also don't have beer prices anywhere so you only find out once you order. Steak sandwich was very nice.

Took a way while to come out the food. Steak that I order was medium and was more likely welldone😂 Fish and chips always good choice. Hot dog..... don't try 😂 Love the atmosphere here👍

Great place for a beer on a Sunday after the marathon (one of the few places that opened at 11am), bar man is such a nice chap, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. Good dark beer (but lots of other options as well), easy background music, nice atmosphere.

Stopped in for a meal before Her Majesty's Theatre. Very friendly and efficient service, couldn't do enough. We both selected the daily special of chargrilled swordfish, lovely mix of flavours, I had to help my wife finish her plateful. Nice quiet, small dining room in contrast to the noisy bar which didn't upset our ambience.

Had a fantastic one night stay in the rooms above the pub. They exceeded my expectations in every way. The design in the room was fun and fresh. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I booked at 3am the morning before I wanted to check in (very last minute trip planning) and they were still happy to put a priority turnover on my room so I was able to check in early as per my booking request. I dropped my bags off early and returned when I got the call that my room was ready only to find that they gave me a free room upgrade just because they had one available! They’d also already taken my bags up for me. Free snacks and mini bar drinks, wifi and lovely evo products in the bathroom. I felt very well taken care of. The only problem I had was with the water temperature in the shower, it fluctuated wildly and was difficult to control. I wouldn’t hold this against them though because I didn’t actually make a complaint and I have complete faith that if I had, they would have either tried to fix it or given me some complimentary something to make up for it. Truly I had a wonderful experience here. I didn’t spend much time at the pub but I did notice they had a hand pump ale, so had to treat myself to a glass which was such a treat! I will definitely stay here whenever I need a fun spot in the city and I strongly suggest you do the same.

Great service, amazing drinks and beer selection, beer garden is a vibe. I organised a group booking for a busy Friday afternoon and I can’t speak highly enough about how well organised the team at the Franklin were. Thirty meals came out together, all were delicious! I highly recommend this pub! I was so impressed I brought my family back two days later.
