Favourite hotel to stay in. Manager and staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much to ask. In over 7 visits I have never had any issues. I like the security of passcard access to lifts. Your card only accesses public levels and your room level. Front desk staff will greet you and acknowledge your presence every time you pass through. Quick checkout is a great service. Grab and go 24/7 menu is the hotels version of room service. You save on the cost by ordering over phone and collecting from dining area yourself. Nice variety of options from breakfast, dining and snack. The premises are always spotless. Value for money accommodation.

This hotel meets all the expectations I had for a room at this price point, but doesnā€™t exceed any of them. Iā€™ve stayed here at least 3 times and the experiences have been pleasantly consistent. Check in staff are helpful and polite, the rooms are economical in size, but clean and fresh. There are vending machines located conveniently on each floor, three lifts (all in operation) so you can get to and from your room quickly. For a budget, no frills hotel, this is top class.

Visited Adelaide in early January 2024 for a week. Stayed at the ibis for the whole week and I was very happy and impressed with the room and customer service. Check-in was easy and the location of the hotel is fantastic. I will happily stay at the ibis again and recommend it to everyone.

My partner and I stay for 2 nights, check in was really good with the gentleman that served us was really nice and helpful 'sorry i don't remember your name' we were super happy with the room, bed was comfy, sheets were nice, towels were clean and replaced after one night, the only thing that let our stay down was the food, when i booked online i booked for 2 people, on our first breakfast we got our 2 meals which we got the 'hot plate' i think it was called, it should be called lukewarm plate, scrambled eggs were cold so was everything else, the only thing that was hot was the toast, on our final day of breakfast we apparently only had 1 person booked for breakfast, but we had 2 booked on the day before, the food was a little bit better though. the staff in the bar/floor didn't really have any urgency to speak to us or seat us

Never stay here on a Friday. Staff were good. Room was as expected. Stayed on a Friday night. There was a full nightclub going on outside the room until the early hours. I was told this was unexpected. Upon further investigation I found out this happens every Friday night, and all the staff could offer was a hollow sorry and a pair of foam earplugs which offered little solace with a rave going on outside my window. Really poor way to treat the customer. Will never stay here again.

Really not too bad. In the heart of Adelaide, meaning its close to everything. Reasonable prices. Fantastic service, really great bar/restaurant. Really good selection of movies! The only thing I did not appreciate was how much sound is made from all the doors slamming. But would I stay here again? Yes. Thanks for a good weekend

Stayed 2 nights. The staff are great and friendly, location is a major attraction, hotel is clean and nice. For me the downsides were no mini bar even if you had to pay for it would be nice. However there is vending machine on most floors. Bed was not great (too hard) which is contradicting some reviews but eh. Room is small but adequate. Otherwise for the price, you really can't go wrong.

Cannot say enough about Lucy at the front desk. She upgraded my wife and I to a room with an exceptional view on the 16th floor for our special night. A complementary bottle of wine was waiting in for us in our room to top it all off! Thank you Lucy!! The rest of the staff were friendly and inviting and the room was extremely clean and modern with all the amenities that you would expect. Will definitely stay here again.

My partner and I stayed for 5 days for work trip and boy it was very underwhelming. From the first instance we walked in reception took a very long time. The don't have basic amenities like NO WATER in the room which is not acceptable for the modern day hotels, water is a basic necessity. Room is tiny, bed was BROKEN. I had to shift the mattress as it was falling off the base just to find the mattress itself was broken and falling off the bed. It feels like there is a single doona in a queen cover, we were constantly fighting with how much sheet and how little doona there is. Our soap ran out on Day 2 and was never refilled, even after asking for a room clean daily. We had cups brought in from night one which were never taken... I thought they take any cups and plates and replenish soap? I guess not. Very strange not to have any soap in the bathroom especially after COVID is still lingering... Reception never answers, we were ringing for minutes on end and no one answers, youre better off trying to find someone. The kitchen didn't answer once in the 5 days we stayed. Cocktails are below average and inconsistent, depends what staff member you get. If you're a Wine lover, the wine retails for $20-$25 and retails here for $50-65, way overpriced and an underwhelming selection for being in the wine capital of Australia. I dropped my Bluetooth earphone on the floor at the gym and had to search the floors for it and they were beyond FILTHY. They clearly have never moved any machine as god knows when the last time that floor has been deep cleaned. Below average experience, would never come back. Spend a little more to stay elsewhere.

The hotel is nice and clean, although it could improve by providing more vanity items. For instance, during my week-long stay, I didn't receive a toothbrush and toothpaste. Additionally, the breakfast menu remained unchanged throughout the entire week, which could benefit from some variety.

Service level from front of house, restaurant and bar staff consistently professional yet warm and friendly. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, shower and lighting are great. Desk arrangement and wifi make it a good room to work from too.

I had a specialist appointment in the city and needed somewhere to stay. The location was great. The room tidy and well set out. I did remove the topper on the bed as it made it too soft and was told next time let them know and they would remove it and take it away for me. without it the bed was just right. for being on Grenfell street it was quiet. Would be happy to stay again.

Great location. However, the hotel needs to make bottled water freely available. Virtually all shops close in Adelaide at 5pm making it impossible to buy water. Ibis also make it impossible by only selling small bottles of water for $4.50. Not good enough. People should be able to purchase large bottles of water from the hotel.

  • 5/5 Trevor S. 1 year ago on Google
Great location and excellent customer service from all staff we engaged with. The room was immaculate and had wonderful views. It was a tad on the small side, but that didnā€™t detract from the overall experience. Definitely an excellent spot to stay for a trip the Adelaide!

What a brilliant experience here, we arrived at 8am on Sunday morning, 5/6 from a flight from Europe, we were so fortunate our rooms were ready without expectations, the lady at the front desk was 10/10 an I wish I had more staff such as herself. Rooms are clean, blockout blinds are good, an the location is perfect, this hotel well exceeded my expectations an itā€™s extremely good value for money, I travel many hotels, through out the world an I can not say a negative comment about Ibis Adelaide Hotel. Cheers

I stayed for business in early May 2023, was quite tired from overseas travel, and have 30 years experience traveling. The ibis Adelaide was absolutely awesome with fantastic staff, services, and food. Highly, highly, recommended; especially, huge value for money. Note: cooked breakfast was bloody brilliant!

Arrived early (830 am) but was able to get into a room - very welcome. Check-in staff were great. Was a presenter in a seminar and all ran very smoothly. Hotel is well located in the CBD near Rundle Mall

Very good location. Bed is very comfortable, and breakfast buffet with good options. Gym has few machines available. Better than many hotel gyms. Would definitely stay again if find good rate available.

Stayed here on the weekend with my partner for our anniversary and absolutely loved it! The rooms are nice, modern and clean. Small but the perfect size really, for us anyways we donā€™t need much room. There was room to put your belongings and hang some clothes too which is great. The bathrooms are very nice and clean, amazing shower. Bed and pillows was so comfy. TV allows you to chromecast so you can watch netflix, etc from your phone. Staff at the reception are lovely and helpful, we forgot to bring our charger from home and they kindly let us borrow one for our stay. The best part was 1. they do late checkout to 5pm for only $60 which we really enjoyed and 2. they knew it was our anniversary and left us some chocolate and a complimentary bottle of sparkling, we felt so special! Hotel is in a great location right behind rundle mall and so great for the price! Cheap parking options too. Highly recommend. Only thing Iā€™d say is their restaurant/room service menu is very poor, the most random meals and very overpriced, could definitely use an update. Wasnā€™t much appealing on there.

We stayed here for three nights and the experiences have been pleasantly consistent. At Reception: staff very helpful and polite, the rooms are not so big in size but according to the price its enough space for 2. Window City view Overall, we had great time there. Located in the centre of the city so all places are at walking distance like food court, shopping centre, South Australian Museum and The Art Gallery of South Australia and many more. One thing i want to mention that there is no microwave in our room and canā€™t reheat food in the room, we had to ate cold..

Haven't had a such a great hotel service experience for while. Wanted to say special thanks to one of the front desk staff - Dhanuka. He really went out his way to assist my mum's disability shower issue. We couldnā€™t have asked for better hosts! Your warmth and kindness and genuine hospitality were apparent throughout. Top-notched to Dhanuka. Central location, clean & tidy. What more do you want. Definitely a Disabled friendly hotel. High recommended. Alan

We chose this hotel for the location as it was close to Rundle mall and public transport. Breakfast was very enjoyable. Thank you to Sharad and Sam for looking after us each morning. Dinner at the Ibis Kitchen was also very nice, although one section of the restaurant is quite dark. Thanks to Luke and James for looking after us for dinner. We found the room a bit small, nowhere to just sit, relax and watch TV. Also there was no storage in the bathroom for our toiletries which was frustrating. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room is fine for a short stay.

Great location. Rooms are clean and beds are fantastic but absolutely frill-free (no free toothbrush, etc). Walking distance to many sights and restaurants. Staff are very helpful with regards to wine locations, car rental and general information. In fact, the hotel has a great deal with Budget car rental which is about 30% off the Internet rate.

The hotel is in a good location, though the room wasn't completely clean on arrival. There was some dirt on some of the surfaces. Also the basin in the bathroom was leaking underneath every time I used the tap so I had to use a towel to prevent my feet getting wet.

Stayed for 3 nights. Location is very decent, a stone's throw from Rundle Mall. Found it odd that no dental kit was provided (it's available for purchase at the vending machine on each floor), but not a deal breaker as I bought a traveling kit from a pharmacy nearby. Room is clean, bathroom and shower stall was also clean. An open hanger space (situated above the cabinet which houses the safe) to hang your clothes took some getting used to, an ironing board was also provided.

It was not a planned trip and I just needed somewhere nice to stay. The room was very nice and I had a very nice stay. I arrived late though without packing a toothbrush. It is kind of annoying to have to pay and get toothbrush from a vending machine.

What a joke for the restaurant. Always come here for work and this time i pay for meat and wine and ask hot water for a tea bag that is free in the room for my gf to have while i eat as she is not hungry and now they decide to charge 5 dollars for a free tea bag and hot water. In addition , steak was way overcooked and fries totally dry, not recommended at all !

Good location right near where I needed to go. It is pretty close to Rundle Mall and all the busy shopping and entertainment activities, but not so close that it is super loud or disruptive at night. The stay there was reasonable - clean and tidy room that was quite large and had everything you needed (shower gel/ shampoo, good bathroom, a hairdryer, clothes hangers, a mini bar fridge, pen and paper, and adequate space. They also have a little gym. It doesnā€™t have much - a few machines (ab cruncher, treadmills, ellipticals, chest and shoulder press, row and lat pull down (all pulleys)) as well as a set of weights 1-10kg. Does the job. The service was variable. The guys at the front were very friendly and hospitable. They were very understanding and patient and really cared and tried to give the best service possible. They even gave me a breakfast box on the last day as I had to leave very early and couldnā€™t make it to breakfast even though I paid extra for breakfast. However, the people at the breakfast (the guy setting it up - seemed like the manager, and the cleaner on that level) were unnecessarily rude ā€¦ maybe I should call it direct? I like to get in to breakfast early as I had to get to a meeting in the early morning. I arrived prior to 6:30am (when they open) and both of them stated ā€œwe arenā€™t openā€ with some attitude. Honestly, I donā€™t know if it was because Iā€™m Asian or they were just unhappy about someone waiting (I wasnā€™t pushing them to speed up or anything, just patiently waiting for 6:30am). A group of older Anglo people joined me (early) and nothing was said to them. Take what you will, but it left a pretty sour taste in my mouthā€¦ despite the nice pastries they had lol. For a hotel, itā€™s great. Service at the front desk is really good, the rooms are decent, and the breakfast options were also good. But donā€™t arrive at breakfast before 6:30am unless you want a rude attitude to ruin your morningā€¦

Ibis hotel is in a good location. Buses out the front. Onsite parking and breakfast included, if you choose that option. No microwave, small fridge and tea and coffee facilities in the room. Good views from most rooms. The lift swipe card system sometimes doesn't work. The lift buttons for the floors are really hard to tell if you have successfully gained access. As the bottom light is very dull. But overall Ibis rooms are good and beds are comfortable. They offer Google Chromecast to connect your devices to the TV. Wi-fi is fast too.

Storm, your reception guru was AMAZING!!! The best welcome we've ever had at any hotel....ever. SO friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Clean lovely rooms, brilliant location and excellent prices. I booked 7 room for the band I work with and everyone was very happy.

I have had the opportunity to visit numerous hotels, and none have rivaled the level of customer service I encountered during my stay at this establishment. I was graciously welcomed with the added convenience of an early check-in. The rooms were exquisitely appointed with high-quality furnishings, and the bathroom was impeccably maintained. The hotel boasts a contemporary, elegant decor that exudes a sense of pristine cleanliness. Without hesitation, I would choose to stay at this establishment once more.

Typical Ibis rooms which are pretty basic and snug. But, everything is there for a nice comfortable stay. New and clean and a walk in shower which I think should be mandatory. Showers in baths is nothing short of dangerous. Very friendly check-in and check-out staff. They gave us an extra late check-out as we had a hospital visit. Evening meal was par for course. Breakfast provided a pretty full range. Hot and cold. Can't go wrong here. Great value.

We had quite the dilema with our luggage not coming on our flight before a wedding. Storm welcomed us with excellent advice on how to shop in a hurry. I also observed excellent friendly service with all. We stayed at another 5 start hotel last time and never again. Was so impressed with the professionalism of all staff we met. Cleanliness and buffet breakfast was best I've ever experienced.

My partner and I went to the ibis hotel last weekend for a little romantic getaway and spent 2 nights there. Not a lot to fault really, I just think they might benefit from expanding their restaurant menu as well as the room service menu, the food was absolutely delicious though. The restaurant is gorgeous and the room we stayed in was nice and tidy. Some staff members in the morning seemed a littleā€¦ rude, in our opinion. Called up for breakfast on the first morning and we got down ten minutes later to be told the food we paid extra forā€¦ was cold. The lady informed us the food was cold when we collected it, I know the hotel gets busy but I think paying guests should get a little more respect, itā€™s not that hard to quickly reheat something if itā€™s gone cold and we did try to rush down to the restaurant after placing our room service order. TV had trouble connecting to our phones/laptop. This place is gorgeous though and absolutely worth the stay. So close to everything and right in the heart of the city. Would definitely return ā˜ŗļø Just a little couple faults that didnā€™t effect the stay that negatively.

Well, what can I say? Excellent room, great view of the city and Adelaide Hills. As it was my birthday, they had a chilled bottle of champagne waiting (thank you, that was wonderful). We relaxed watching flicks from their extensive in-house selection of latest movies, then ordered in. Unfortunately, they had run out of the Salt & Pepper Squid, but the alternative (Schnitzel) was very nice. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed my stay at the Ibis Adelaide. It was a nice room with a comfortable bed. Had issues connecting my phone and tablet to the TV and ended up just using my tablet to watch streaming content. Other than that my stay was very pleasant.

This place is in a great location. Nice rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. I only stayed 2 nights and already had dinner plans elsewhere so didn't get a chance to check out the food options but will definately be staying here again on my next visit to Adelaide!

Lovely friendly customer service. Easy and quick check in/out. We took a standard queen room. It is rather on the small side, and i think if you had a lot of luggage, it would be rather cramped. However, the rooms are clean, comfortable with all basic needs, even has a hairdryer and iron with ironing board. Plenty of hangers, and the work desk is a clever use of space. Plenty of power points to charge our devices as well. The bathroom is small but clean and shower is good. Good price in a central location with lots of food choices and shopping just outside the hotel.

Great location in the heart of Adelaide. From arrival the Team have been very helpful and professional. The rooms aren't huge but they are clean and very comfortable. The views are amazing (I'm on the 16th floor) and working from the hotel room is a lot more than my normal view! The bar on the first floor is good and the Team there also were professional and knowledgeable. I would happily stay here again during my next stay in Adelaide.

Great place to stay in Adelaide city. Walking from the shops and a lot of amazing restaurants. The hotel restaurant was serving food even on Christmas which was absolutely wonderful. Great staff. the rooms are not too big but ok for a2-3 days stay

Good hotel for a couple of nights stay. Don't trust the vending machines though, they have a habit of not dispensing the items you've paid for, quite an inconvenience. There aren't sufficient vegan options on their restaurant menu. However, it's conveniently located near many other food outlets.

  • 2/5 Lorraine S. 2 years ago on Google
The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are ok but the restaurant for dinner was the worst meal we have ever had. Roasted vegetables were raw. My husband requested that he did not wanted the tomato side or spinach with fish but his meal had both. The beetroot tart was not a tart but a pile of cold vegetables on a savoury type of biscuit. For this I can give only two stars.

Staff here were amazing and made our stay 100x better. Room was super clean and tidy plus being given the option to come into our room earlier than check in with a super early flight was going above and beyond for us. Couldnā€™t be happier! The staff were what you would expect from a high level hotel but rarely see. Friendly, helpful, and caring, not one staff member but each and every one I interacted with was a pleasure. The cleanliness of the rooms, location and staff made this a hotel I will return to without doubt.

The location was great only minutes from the city center and with walking distance to many major attractions, restaurants and transport. The receptionist who greeted me was amazing, polite and very helpful over the visit. Wi-Fi was good. BUT that is where the good review ends and the wrongs far out weighed the rights The hallways on our level were dirty, old band aides and rubbish on the floors it looked as it had not been cleaned for a few days... Our room was not that clean, The bathroom floor dirty, with a build up of dust and hair on the floor behind the door and near toilet and on shelves benches etc. No extra pillows or blankets, bed was hard. Parking was in next block for $30 a day which I did not come up when I booked the room. The restaurant is upstairs The staff service and the food was very average, My husband asked for a can of Canadian Club he was told he could get it from the vending machine on the 11th floor as they don't sell cans or stubbies. My dinner order was wrong and I was eventually offered a new meal which I declined as my husband had already finished dinner so they offered me a couple of bottles of water for their mistake. No refund or credit towards another meal. I did a questionnaire regarding my stay. I discussed my concerns and the next day I had a card and 3 chocolates from house keeping apologizing for my room. I thought this was lovely. But when I went into the bathroom the dirt and hairs were still on the floor and had not been cleaned up. Maybe you need to book more than a standard room to get the experience I read in reviews IDN. But I have stayed in 3 star accommodation that has been %100 in all areas....We won't stay there again.

This weekend we enjoyed a 2 night stay at the ibis hotel in Adelaide. The ibis whilst having smaller rooms definitely isn't short on quality. Boasting a beautiful King Sized deluxe bed topped with the softest pillows. The bathroom was still spacious enough to not feel "cramped". The room had all the essentials like hanging space for your suits, pants, tops and dresses. Well lit bathroom mirror and counter space for putting make-up on. There is a full length mirror which I really appreciate for when you are getting ready for an important event. Whilst suitcase space was limited, large bags did tuck under the very long desk. Simple things like a mini bar fridge, tea and coffee in the room. Movies on demand were free. There are vending machines on the floors with alcohol in them which was very handy for a nightcap in the room. There were fluros instead of lamps across the bed as bedside lights - which was an awful choice as they were so incredibly bright it was impossible to use as a night light to return to bed whilst your partner was already asleep. The lounge bar was a great option for a delightful cocktail and a glass of wine. We all know a hotel is only as good as their wine and cocktail list and they did not disappoint. Beautiful white wine, Riesling from the Clare Valley and a favourite - French Martini whilst not on the list, they knew exactly what it was and prepared it with ease. The beers whilst they had a small selection it was a good range of types both on tap and in the fridge. The buffet breakfast, again whilst small had a great range of choices which weren't limited to those who just eat Bacon and Eggs which was appreciated. The meals whilst a small selection were a great selection and our party of 4 there was something for everyone. From lighter meals like a club sandwich- which was still an epic portion to slow cooked lamb shanks and steak. Overall would definitely recommend for a short stay for single or couples, but this isn't really a family friendly venue - the option is to book over 2 interconnecting rooms which isn't ideal for younger children.

Not bad, my room had a 60cm Blockout blind. If the lights Changed to green - my room would light up. Vending machines outside the elevator actually wasnā€™t a bad idea. Trying to get the vending machines to work ā€¦. Hard

I stayed in a standard queen room. It looked exactly like the pictures in the website. Very clean. Comfy bed. Large wide screen TV at the end of bed. Quiet. Only problem was I didn't know at first you need your hotel key to use the elevator, and keep lights on.

Great customer service, nice breakfast! Clean rooms with good water pressure in the shower. Only thing I could suggest is thicker/an extra blanket to keep warm in the winter so donā€™t have to use the heater! Pleasant stay :)

Very convenient location, compact but clean and well equipped room, comfortable bed and good bathroom. Service at breakfast is questionable, both times Iā€™ve stayed here the gentleman on duty (same all four mornings) is always flustered and never nice, but the staff in the afternoon/ evening are great, especially Jennifer who is delightful and friendly.

One of the better Ibis hotels. Relatively new and hence in good condition and while service at check-in can be slow, the staff are nice. The location is very central and one of its best features. Happy to stay here again for the right room rate.

I really enjoyed my stay! Staff were very friendly. I was on the 16th floor with very nice views. The room was comfy and always clean and tidy. The hotel is situated right in the centre so it was super easy to get around. Definitely recommend!

When I go on business trips I always try to stay at a Hilton hotel. I have always had very good experiences with Hilton. However on this trip I have the Adelaide Ibis a go mainly because it was so close to where I needed to be. I must say I was very impressed with this hotel. The staff were excellent and friendly which made my stay a pleasure. It took me a while to work out how the restaurant worked, but once I understood, it was a good place to eat. I found the meals tasty and well prepared. If I return to Adelaide on business I will definitely stay here again. The location is also great.

Was a really nice room and experience, breakfast was also great (did not try any other meals). The air-conditioning in the room could have been better, as I found it changed temperatures on its own a lot and it messed with my sleep a little bit. Other than that, no complaints!
