Disgraceful, discriminatory and very rude shopping centre management at Armada Arndale. Instead of improving customer access and amenities, the management of Armada Arndale shopping centre decided to remove all outdoor benches and seating from taxi ranks and waiting areas. Where are customers supposed to seat now, whilst waiting to be picked up? This decision completely ignores the fact that many people have medical conditions, age related issues and other problems preventing them from standing up for long periods of time whilst waiting to be picked up after their shopping. When contacted for an explanation of this decision, the centre manager insisted this was done in order "to prevent undesirable people from sitting outside the centre". This was done without any consideration for elderly customers such as pensioners often waiting for very long times at the taxi ranks and pick-up areas. The current management's response in regard to this matter is utterly discriminatory, rude, as well as out of touch with patrons' opinions and wishes, including those of the retail staff, who are now having to explain to customers all the time that this farce decision is due to centre management, not individual stores. Nonetheless, complaints are simply ignored by centre management. When contacted for an explanation, the centre management's excuse is utterly thoughtless, insensitive and unacceptable to pensioners, the elderly, veterans or anyone needing a seat whilst waiting to be picked up with their shoppung; a big inconvenience for a very large proportion of customers. Indecency and tone-deafness at its worst. To make matters even more ridiculous, management had also reduced the seating capacity inside the centre and have illogically reduced the number of rubbish bins outdoors also. Considering that the centre employs full time security guards, cleaners and cctv, there is no reason for the centre to punish and disrespect a large proportion of (regular) customers purely for cost cutting measures, under the excuse of "making it harder for undesirable elements to hang around". These idiotic decisions are not what the local customer base needs and in fact it creates more problems than it solves, with total disregard for the well-being, health or comfort of customers.

Great security staff, handled things excellently in a dangerous situation. Centre management should certainly reward the company they contract with to reward the staff.

Close, clean and security every where. Free parking and a transit hub. Pretty much all you need. The Vietnamese Bakery across from Woolwoths has amazing Sausagerolls.

Armidale is my least favourite place to shop. Not because of the shops or people running them, but the centre as a whole is depressing.

The place has been renovated but desperately needs some organisation. There is no food court and restaurants / cafes are intermixed with jewellery stores, butchers, fashion stores and mobile phone outlets. Consequently, there are very few places to sit and eat a meal and the tables provided by the shopping centre are right in the middle of busy thoroughfares. I'd recommend hitting up a small food joint in one of the side areas if you want to avoid being bumped whilst you eat amid the smell of raw meat and fish. There are plenty of bins (which stands in stark contrast to the city) and a few couches to rest on but a decent food court would drastically improve Arndale Armata'a amenity. Overall, there's not much to do here, besides your weekly grocery shopping (there is a Foodland, Woolworths and Aldi), if you aren't looking for clothes and the shopping centre feels disjointed.

I’ve been coming to this centre for at least 18 years. Good for shopping, however the food court area never has enough seating! You have to stand around awkwardly with your food until someone gets up (especially on busy days) I wish the centre would do something about that..

Extraordinarily expensive parking. We were there for a long lunch and did some Black Friday shopping. Ended up having to pay $50 for parking! Was a nasty surprise. Shop and park elsewhere if you can.

Arndale just doesn't have enough variety of decent and different shops and or services and is only really good for basics. Grocery shopping at Romeo's is good, I like the improvements they made when they bought the store from Coles as they've increased the size of certain area's and carry a better and larger range of products. The store is modern, clean, easy to navigate and the staff are really good. Its the only part of going to Arndale I really find useful.

Went on a Sunday morning and got there at 10am, a lot of shops were still shut which wasn't helpful. Having shops open earlier and closing sooner would probably be convenient. Maybe I shouldn't comment either I don't live in Adelaide.

Nothing fancy ,however, an ideal place to shop for it's layout simplicity, with three main retail outlets and a good selection of smaller speciality shops

Very good place to go! I liked it when they had Coles Supermarket there! I like the food choices they have and all the shops of many choices. This is a local and great shopping experience. You can buy branded from intersport, fashion from valleygirl/alley, Big W, etc.

Don't take small children to the small playground, some mothers believe it is OK to leave older children there who are far too rough for little people!

Many many years ago I used to call Arnadale "the most dangerous place to shop" but times have changed and so has this place. It is a great shopping complex with everything you need from supermarkets and hairdressers to a cinema complex. The walkways are spacious and the size of the complex is quite large. I enjoy shopping here now and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone living in the area.

Too much gang violence taking place. Although they eventually got there to break it up security is quite slow to catch onto these things. For example I saw a guy getting mugged for his shoes and security pop up after the incident. I just wish that they maintain the place for family and friends to go shopping.

Good ambience, a lot better than when I 1st discovered it more than 10yrs ago now. The ferals have been couped I think? anyway the new (now Hoylts) cinema (uses to be GU) is back on track now - one of my nostalgic cinemas! Cleaner, and overall Armada is sailing well, and will visit for some of their lovely shops and eateries.

For the budget conscious, yet discerning of quality, Arndale shopping centre has the best supermarkets and department stores, not least because the supermarkets and green grocer here cater to the Vietnamese population supplying a lot of Asian greens and herbs, and Oriental sauces and dried goods. Would be 5 stars if only they have an Asian butcher. The Romeo's Foodland here is possibly the best in Adelaide because it is very large and always busy, the large turnover ensuring freshness of its meat and vegetables, not to mention Romeo's competitive prices. Just don't go to Shingles Inn café, they advertise cake and coffee deal for $7.90 and give you a cheap & nasty hot cross bun.

It's a medium size shopping centre with some descent shops inside. There are 3 supermarkets available Romeo Foodland, Woolworths and Aldi. There is BWS right next to Woolworths. But my favorite place to shop is PRODUCE EXCHANGE, a big green grocer not far from foodcourt (near KFC and yiros kiosk). They sell high quality fresh produce at a very good price. I have found items here are sold at 50% lower than supermarket's! For example. Ginger is $11/kg vs $55/kg at supermarket. Garlic is $11/kg vs $24.99/kg at supermarket. Red Capsicum is $6.99/kg vs $12.99/kg at supermarket. Staff are nice and helpful. Definitely a place to visit for your fruit and vegetables shopping. Besides a relatively big EB Games store , you can find Big W, Harris Scarfe and many clothing stores. Hoyts cinema and Salvation Army are also nearby.

Perfect place to eat, upgrade your phone or just sit and look around. Pleasant enough center, small in comparison to other shopping centres and close to buses. Get in, get out. A man's version of shopping and opinion. :-)

A good place to get all the things you need and good services. Avoid going at 3-4pm because of some of the rowdy teenagers but other than that it's a great place to shop.

This shopping centre is a lot nicer than it used to be. The layout is confusing but I think that's just because I rarely shop at Armada Arndale.

Feels like the opposite of an open plan, and feels so small inside despite being a trek from either end. There's a couple worthwhile stores, though pretty hard to justify a trip unless you live around the corner.

  • 3/5 Anthony F. 1 year ago on Google
Couple things let it down one it should have been two story building not enough breaks stores besides all that and has a couple of good places to eat it could improve itself

Overall nice shopping complex with plenty of shops. Need more signs though for some of the bigger shops so you know where to go if in a hurry.

This shopping centre is certainly beginning to show its age. I used the underground carport on several occasions. Getting out of the car the smell is the first thing you notice then how dark it is. The carpark needs to be resurfaced as it is uneven with potholes tocatch the unwary and mire lighting

  • 2/5 gen h. 10 months ago on Google
I have told the center management twice about the tap that can not be shut off and has been running continuously for 6 months, in the ladies toilet near aldi but management say it is too expensive to fix , so it is still running day n night 7 months later. Im guessing it uses 10 litres every hour 24/7 x 7 months....
