Have finally winded down enough to write this review. Dr. Michael Stacey is the most dismissive, rude, nastiest doctor i have ever had. This man barely made eye contact with me the entire time i poured my heart out. Without going into detail, i went in scared that i wouldn't be heard whilst discussing something very personal and awful with the hope of either treatment or creating a mental health plan. Dr Stacey immediately downplayed my phobia's and anxietys by stating it wasn't even a big deal. He berrated my old doctor's decision to treat me with medication and heavily implied that i "moved around" for medication, this was backed up by him saying he was was going to make a call and check my background. He offered no empathy or sympathy and didn't give me the tiniest bit of respect as a human being. I find it extremely difficult to discuss my mental health with doctors, and this experience with him has set me back to the point that i am incredibly anxious making future appointments. It isn't a wonder why statistically men find it more difficult to discuss their mental health with old school dismissive "toughen up" doctors like this around. If you are reading this Dr Stacey i am disgusted by your approach to your patients. I really hope you learn to become more empathetic, for your patients sake. If you are reading this because you want to talk to someone about your mental health, i strongly recommend you do not book an appointment with this Doctor.

I’ve been to see Dr. Kass several times over the years prior to trips to Asia and Europe. What a great doctor — Extremely knowledgeable, thorough and engaging. I always leave the clinic satisfied that all has been taken off. I can highly recommend Dr. Kass (and the team at Globe).

I moved from the USA to Adelaide with my Australian wife 3 weeks ago. I made an appointment here to get established with a GP in Australia. Dr Stacey spent half of our short appointment complaining about foreigners like me coming to Australia and skipping the country without paying their bill. He then told me “you need to jump through hoops to convince me” to prescribe a controlled substance medication that I currently prescribed for mental health. He also refused to give me a referral to a rheumatologist for my Rheumatoid Arthritis, saying I should call rheumatologists to find an appointment and THEN he’ll write a referral. He also complained that my RA medication, Enbrel (etanercept), “costs the tax payers a fortune.” I called several rheumatologists and every one of them told me they can’t tell me anything without a referral. Dr Stacey utterly failed me. I left this clinic in worse shape than I arrived. I ended up having a panic attack and calling the mental health crisis line because Stacey made me feel like a thief and made me think no one in this country would give me the medication that stops my body from becoming so painful that I consider suicide. The mental health crisis line gave me names of better clinics that she said will treat me with the respect I deserve. I will be contacting them tomorrow. I also gave her Stacey’s name as well as this clinic. To the staff, I will say: it should go without saying but cancel my appointment on Tuesday. I’m a permanent resident of Australia and deserve better care than I received today. Stacey made me feel like a low life that skips bills and causes a burden to the tax payers. Also, I am a tax payer, you geriatric.

visited Globe Medical today and was left deeply disappointed. My interaction with Dr. Stacy was far from pleasant. Despite his years of experience, he lacked basic courtesy. His approach was not only rude but also unhelpful, as he failed to provide clear explanations or guidance. Additionally, the staff member responsible for handling blood samples was equally discourteous. Not recommended at all

Have been seeing Dr Bob Kass at Globe Medical for years for travel medicine, advise and vaccines. His knowledge is truly amazing and his enthusiasm for travel and adventure is contagious. Highly recommend. Martyn Cook

The Dr was 1h late which I didn’t mind at all, he was amazing with the appointment, treated me super well and was very thoughtful with his advices, I appreciated him and the way he cared for me. Although what made me give only 2 stars (would give none if wasn’t for the amazing Dr) was that I was “kicked out” of the waiting room because the Dr was late and they were getting busy and for that I should leave and come back 45min later, they asked me to get out and have a coffee, I didn’t want a coffee, I had to “walk around” for 45min in fact I hurt my leg a few days ago and it was very painful so I end up sitting outside for 45min in a rainy and cold weather. I understand the COVID procedures and precautions although I don’t think that was something very nice to do. Definitely not coming back.

Very professional service. No waiting. Experienced, caring, friendly doctors and staff. I live in Marion but I'm a client in this medical centre for at least 8 years.

I have to say that all of my GP experiences in Adelaide CBD in the last 6 years have been pretty bad so I am starting with a very low baseline here and that I have an utter aversion towards any GP clinic interaction. Sadly there's no way around it, that I know of... They request new masks (disposable ones) to be worn on the premises and won't allow reusable ones. Appointment times are hardly ever kept and I always had to wait, despite always arriving on time or even earlier. I know it's a domino effect with other patients being late, but surely they can cater for some buffer time between appointments, instead of booking them back to back. A clinic waiting room is not an ideal way to spend my lunch break! The facilities and location are ok The GPs I interacted with are ok and although some do stick to the usual one-size-fits-all approach, I am pleased with the one I currently have (have changed 2 tines so far at this clinic). I have a feeling the reception desk staff is acting very bluntly and defensive out of fear of consequences, so management could probably be better. If that's not the case then the reception staff is definitely in the wrong job and industry. If you find a better clinic, please let me know! :)

My GP with this clinic was fully booked till June, so they arranged my appointment with another GP as I need to renew my prescription. This situation happened before and that GP bulked bill. The appointment only took 10 min. and this GP didn't do bulk billing. It is a big rip - off as I paid extra $40 for a prescription worth $40.

I usually never review, I always prefer to thank everyone in person but I wanted to provide my review to this place. This is an absolute pleasure to review Global Medical Adelaide. I have been here with my baby twice for her vaccination. The staff here will go above and beyond to help me. They have rules and regulations regarding Covid, masks, checking your vaccination status etc. but that’s absolutely necessary for patients safety and I love it because I know coming here will be so much safer. I always get different doctor and never had any troubles in fact they helped me both times to understand about the vaccination for kids, baby development, kids growth chat etc. Nurse Sandra is my absolute hero, she has vaccinated my daughter twice and god bless her. She took care of my baby like her own. Both times she was very empathetic and stayed with me because I was a bit upset to see my baby in pain. She is also highly recommended for baby vaccination because she did it seamlessly both times. She stayed and help me pack up and she has done it multiple times. I will always count on Sandra and feel so comfortable coming here. Thank you so much 😊 A very happy customer X

Should find a better way to give a general advice without the huge expense for 4 consultations, plus vaccinations. End $900 less for our family holidays. I wish the approx total amount could be discussed first.

Exceptional service, doctors and expertise! I cannot recommend Globe highly enough. Have used them now for nearly 20ys. for all my travel advice, supplies and vaccines.

Tried to make an appointment for my infected eyes but refused as I have sore throat symptom. I asked for phone consultation but refused again as I didn’t attend the clinic within last 12 month. This was the only GP I have been attending but they refused to take the booking so I’m left with no where to go as most of other GPs not taking any new patient. My 10year old daughter has same symptoms and need to get something for her eye but refused for the same reason. What am I supposed to do!!! Receptionist didn’t want to help and just trying to give me the respiratory clinic when I need something for my and my daughter’s eye. My 3 children’s have been going only this clinic as well and they don’t make any exception at all.

We recently took our 2 young children into Globe Medical for some travel medical advice and vaccinations. The staff were friendly, patient and very understanding of young children and the anxiety that often comes along with having injections. The Dr was very open to questions and had a lot of knowledge of travel requirements and provided a lot of great advice. The prices were very reasonable and our consult gap was waived due to our children’s age, which was fantastic 👍🏼 It was so much more convenient going to Globe Medical prior to overseas travel as you can get everything sorted in one appointment. Will definitely be recommending and attending again.

Very informative about our trip to India and what to expect. Very thorough everything covered. Only thing we didn’t realise the cost of all the vaccines was very expensive. But worth it to be covered. The doctor was lovely

A far superior experience to the alternative holiday travel provider, I won't go anywhere else now. Friendly, professional receptionists who seem to enjoy being there. Quality, unhurried advice from Dr.Kathleen Jamieson and vaccine administered painlessly by Maria.

My wife and I had an appointment today with Dr Kass regarding vaccination for our upcoming trip. We were impressed with the dialogue and knowledge of requirements. Overall a very positive experience and highly recommended for those who have a need for immunisation.

I visited and waited an hour and 15 minutes for the GP not to show up. This is a medical centre which does not value your time at all: nowhere did I hear "please wait a bit longer, your GP will be here with you shortly" or the like. To make matters worse, two other people who arrived after me were seen within 15 minutes. Another lady was also waiting with me for a long time as well. If the online booking platform says that there is a spot available, I expect that to be accurate. This is clearly a place which doesn't have their act together with regards to scheduling and making time for patients. To sum up, this centre is not worth visiting at all.

Very happy with the service! GP, nurse, as well as receptionists, all of them are very nice and patient! I will definitely continue visiting there whenever I need!

Had a pretravel consult with Dr Christopher Rook. Amazing person, doctor and advice. As a GP myself, you feel a sense of peace when you meet people who have empathy, kindness, intelligence and compassion. Sadly we feel in the modern world these services are rare these days, but Globe Medical a wonderful clinic. As a patient and GP im always going to recommend them! Big love for medical/travel clinics like these. Keep fighting the good fight GPs, nurses and beautiful admin staff-I promise its not going unnoticed.

Dr Michael Stacey is Extremely helpful, genuinely caring and supportive. I was surprised how he went the extra mile to fast track my specialist referral and got me in far sooner than I could on my own. (Same week appt instead of 6 month waiting list.)

I had an appointment with Dr Bob Kass for travel vaccinations today. He was friendly, thorough and very knowledgeable. I received great service, advice and treatment from all staff members from the reception team to the doctor and practice nurse.

The reception area is a hit and miss. Unfortunately, these ladies are not always the most polite. They can be very abrupt at times (e.g. not letting you finish what you are saying) and uncaring. It’s sad when you get good doctors who have a front desk that scares patients away. Receptionist ladies, the patients pay your salary.

Overall a very pleasant experience. I was well looked after by the staff at the reception and Doctor Clive himself. They were all very friendly and welcoming. I would like to thank each and everyone at Globe Medical for their time and help.

Have been coming here for nearly 20 years for everything ranging from travel medicine through to regular check ups. All of the staff are lovely and the GPs genuinely care about their patients. They get busy just like any clinic but will always try to get you in with your GP as soon as they can. Couldn't recommend Globe highly enough.

This place is great. Online booking system is so easy. They are good at managing their appointment schedule so they are on time. I don’t think I’ve ever waited more than 10 min. Ladies at the front are lovely and welcoming. And importantly, all the doctors I’ve seen have been incredibly helpful 🙌

Dr Kass is a must see before travelling. His knowledge of health risks and recommendations on how to avoid illness when travelling is invaluable. Highly recommend. And no waiting time!

What a group of dedicated, caring and pleasant professionals! From the moment I arrived there on the 1st Floor, I was warmly greeted and made to feel I mattered. The doctor, Dr Elaine Powell who attended to me and the whole team made sure I received ALL the correct immunisations appropriate for the countries I’d be visiting, that I had the correct paperwork information and records of my immunisation history etc etc. In short, they were awesome! My partner and I visited the travel clinic and seen Dr Christopher Rook. Honesty the best Dr appointment we have ever had. He knew exactly what we needed, he took his time with going over everything. And provide us with important information that we really appreciate. He is an asset to the clinic, it was professional and friendly and we also gained a wealth of knowledge. We really appreciated the time he took.

I live in a country area but work in the city. I started using Globe Medical as a convenience for the odd prescription here and there. I've come to realise they are an exceptional medical facility with every doctor there displaying outstanding care for their patients. From the doctors - to the clinical nurses - to the staff at the counter - they all exhibit the same professional and caring attitude. Globe medical clinic, and Dr Jane Allen in particular, have been the primary source for all my health needs for a number of years now and I can't recommend them highly enough!

I work in the city and needed an appointment for an injury asap. I was able to get a booking the same day. Very friendly staff at reception and a lovely nurse. Dr Stacey was very thorough, and knowledgeable. Great experience from start to finish, I highly recommend this clinic.

I am so grateful for being seen in a timely fashion (with shingles) even though I am new to the practice. I was given a thorough assessment, a diagnosis and a referral appointment was arranged for the same day. These doctors have the hearts of true GPS.

Our experience with Global Medical Adelaide was a very good one. The doctor giving the consultation was very knowledgeable and spent 60 minutes with us explaining every aspect of our travel to South America that we could have wished for. We would have no hesitation in recommending this service to anyone travelling internationally.

One of the best clinics for me, if not the best. To just say that “The service is great and the doctors and staff are kind and caring” may be a bit of an understatement. There really is a higher level of attention to different areas of health so both the urgent and the long-term are attended to. Thus, their level of care is much higher than I generally expect, and also very personally concerned and compassionate. Highly recommended.
