Absolute disgrace of a public service. Firstly they have implemented cross border regulations that require returning/ relocating residents to lodge applications for exemptions to enter the state. Fair enough. What isn’t fair is that they take over three weeks to process a simple form. Their response is that they are ‘busy’. They have failed to facilitate a system they created, if they were so short sighted not to anticipate and accommodate this, the decision makers should be sacked immediately. Of course you’re going to be busy, put the systems in place to deal with it. The hotline is disorganized, offers confused and mostly incorrect information. Basically useless. There is no portal to discuss any of this with anyone from SA health directly . So basically all you can do is lodge the form and you’re at the mercy of incompetent public servers that are apparently too busy to do their job. Too bad if you’re a relocating resident with a family that has been fully vaccinated, has a tested negative 5 times in the past three weeks and has spent two weeks on mandatory hotel quarantine after returning to Australia. According to SA health you’re supposed go from a green zone in the hotel quarantine and instead of returning straight to Adelaide and further quarantining there (no problem, ridiculous but that’s another story) they force me, my wife and 10 month old baby to ‘wait’ in the red hot Covid zone that is the general Sydney population while they ‘get around’ to processing simple forms. the purpose of SA health is to engage in proactive strategies to keep its residents safe. I’m a resident, you’ve well and truly let me down and I doubt someone will take accountability for this.

Absolutely pathetic excuse of a public service. With clearly no common sense or regard of peoples mental health. I had to wait 6 weeks for a response on my travel exemption with nothing but a letter being forced into hotel quarantine with no reasoning or open communication. I tried to make it clear that I had an unoccupied home to isolate in safely but it absolutely impossible to contact the exemptions team to discuss your case. There’s never a response to any emails you send. After being in 4 months of lockdown in NSW. Hotel quarantine experience absolutely horrible, severely impacted my mental state and although I raised it daily. Was told there’s nothing that could be done. Was later told that other people with similar cases from NSW & VIC were able to isolate at home. Nurses attempted to escalate to SA health but stuck in holding pattern with no resolve. Enough to drive anyone insane. We are 2 years into the pandemic now so the “lack of resourcing” excuse is not good enough. Peoples lives are completely disregarded and disrespected.

SA Health is without question, the worst organisation I have ever come into contact with. This is not aimed at the personnel I interacted with while being COVID positive in Adelaide (some select people were helpful) ,but rather the management of SA Health, in particular their management of coronavirus. From testing positive, all the way through to the end of my hotel quarantine, SA Health proved inefficient, totally disorganised, practically un reachable and entirely unhelpful. I will not return here.

The worst health service in the nation. They put their political agenda over the health of the people. Lots of inconsistencies in the restrictions and no concern for mental health Update: I caught COVID and it just reinforced how terrible SA Health is. They do the absolute minimum! They sent text messages with what to do and send me website links which is fine. The issue is with how terrible the staff is, no one knows what is going on and they provide no recommendations besides directing me to their website. Absolutely disgusting service..

A text to my son got home about 4.30 am. mum was still in emergency and still is now - been with her since 6pm yesterday, this health care system here is totally fallen to pieces at 3.30 this morning there were still around 40 people in the emergency waiting room and people lining the corridors on Gurneys and ambulances out side with people in them waiting to get in - although she’s a privately insured patient no private hospitals had a bed, up until just now no doctors have seen her personally to tell her what’s going on - the nurses and staff are trying their best it’s a totally ruined situation so mum will stay in there till she sees a doctor the ICU is full This government should be ashamed if itself the system is a chaotic mess I hope she’s still alive in the morning

The Rhumatoligy department called my wife today saying that they haven't seen her in 2 years and that we've missed the appointments made for her, I tried to tell the doctor that is because the hospital has canceled changed and rebooked appointments for the last 2 years because of covid and doctor shortages and the hospital is only seeing patients with serious illness and that is why they haven't been able to see her but the doctor kept on insisting that we've missed the appointments, maybe they should check their own records before putting blame on the patient, I told the doctor I have all the cancellation letters the hospital sent and again the doctor said I have no record of that. Its a total failure of the duty of care to patients.

I would give zero stars if possible. My daughter and I have both had Covid. We have received the text messages but I feel absolutely no care factor from SA Health at all Disgusting. We are locked at home which feels like jail and I resent not even receiving a generic message of encouragement. And why is Covid not normalised so that we can manage it like the flu? Most of us are responsible and intelligent people. Has it become too much of a money spinner with bonuses and kickbacks for those in power? That is what I hear. $700,000 bonuses for promoting Pfizer well? Any truth in that? I detest this department and do not trust you at all

This department needs a complete revamp, it's just not working as intended. From forcing people to wear masks in hot weather with no protections in place if a person is overheating and needs to take it off, to placing quarantine people in the HEART of the CBD where THE MOST people travel past every day, and to the latest ambulance ramping fiasco which kept serious covid patients waiting hours in the RAH parking lot... And their answer? Deniability. Claim it just didn't happen, even though there are logs, witnesses and written statements confirming it in fact did.. a Revamp, or complete dismantle & rebuild the SA Health system from the ground up.

Just remember who the customer is. The tax payer. We have a chance to fix this when we vote in March. Read the comments and ask yourself where the responsibility lies. Our government. Get SA Health back to where it once was years ago and make your vote count. This is the people's health system.

I was notified I was a close contact and registered to collect my free RAT’s from Mount Barker. I received my confirmation message with no address to collect them from. I checked the Mount Barker site address on SA Health, there is only 1 address. I drove to the Covid testing site to collect my RAT’s only to be told “No, we don’t have them here, you need to go to a different address to collect them……so much for isolating. I also do not understand the double standards of rules we now have. The staff that my close contact works with, that spent more time together than I did are still allowed to go to work if they test negative in the morning. I on the other hand now have to spend more time in a house isolating with a positive case for 7 days. I have tested negative the last three days, why am I not allowed to go to work???

John Brailey?.......ahahahahahaha. How's PowerPoint going and what "improvements" have been made John? Can u actually list any? In your review of mental health services, you said there were ''improvements'' but you didnt actually list any! I guess you forgot. When you resigned as Public Advocate, some would say that was an ''improvement'' in itself. And Canberra? That didnt last long - but they have standards we clearly don't. Also, the people you protected (and it sure wasnt my mother) have mis-appropriated thousands of dollars. You must be proud of your ''efforts". Please dont be shy John - you can reply here - if you have the guts.

Not unlike a typical Government 'phone number'. No body actually to speak to. Just an exhaustive prerecording of websites....oh and just to make sure things are even more unreachable and difficult for the public in need, 'grab a pen and be ready to take down some more unmanned phone numbers before this call automatically ends. Yet another Government agency designed by despots.

We all three members of our family got covid. PCR test facility met the expectation, thats it, after the test nothing satisfied me. Looks like they didn't learn anything in last two years for covid-19 management. We got sms to fill the survey, not sure why? All information we provided them during test then why they torture patients again? The patients not in a position to fill up those form whereas sa health already have those information. Then the health advice...they suggested to go with patients own way. Paracetamol was the main medication that we buy from shops over 50 years. May be that's why death rate too high in developed countries. I did ring national health line and there was a nurse even no gp. They also suggested same way to manage your own way. We tried to contact gp clinic but no instant appointment, they did ring back after hour then the pharmacy was closed. What a shame managing such a critical disease. At the end we had to manage it ourselves by our own medication with some moderate symptoms. Luckily we did stock some normal medication which was suggested by our overseas family doctor just two weeks before. Again collecting those normal medication was not easy from here like anti histamine, vitamin d, salbutamol for breath issue. Otherwise we had to suffer a lot.

Since SA health has taken the approach of personal responsibility with covid exposure. How long till they advocate for the abolishment of traffic laws in favor of personal responsibility. Poor effort we weren't ready or prepared for the borders to open at all.

Yesterday we went to the hub at colonnades for our booster. Congratulations SA Health. We were so impressed with the way we were treated and how quickly we were attended to. The staff were great and we were made to feel very much at ease throughout the whole procedure. Thank you very much

So now we can get 5 free RATS per person until 31 December. But we don't have a car, so how can we pick these up? On your website it says "no cyclists or walk-ins". So how are we supposed to get them?

I hate being passed on to other services to wait on hold for an interminable time. It's not good. Not good at all for a sick person. Not the services fault it's the system. A system that doesn't work anymore.

Checked the SA Health twitter feed for wait times at their clinics after being advised to check before you go (on the radio). Bedford Clinic listed as <1 hr wait time. Get in the car at 12:00pm, drive half an hour and wait in the line only to be told by a guy in high vis that 'they are only taking bookings today' and to 'check the website'. Go on website and it states "bookings PREFERRED between 7am and 11am" (it's now 12:40pm). Go on to try and make a booking: "No bookings available today". So no PCR test and wasted an hour of my day and my petrol because you couldn't get your information correct. Why even bother putting information on your twitter and website that is incorrect and then turning away people trying to get tested? No wonder people are not bothering when this is the service they get!

Today I waited 5 hours as a 'walk-in' at the Wayville Vaccination Centre and finally had my Covid booster administered by a lovely Registered Nurse called Luda. The whole process at this centre was very well organised. The Duty Manager handed out water whilst we were waiting in the sun, with hundreds of other people. As we entered the building, the process was seamless. I congratulate SA Health for a seamless procedure at this location. The staff were considerate, helpful and efficient in a difficult situation with so many people to service.

Giving one star is over the top for the disrespect and rudeness that I’ve received from SA health in the past 5 weeks. I’m an SA resident trying to return home from Victoria. I’m currently stuck here without a job nor a house. The amount of times I’ve called the covid helpline and been hung up on or spoken to in the rudest way is appalling. The sad fact is we are 2 years into this pandemic and no insight of being in the all clear, yet SA health still can’t pull their finger out and help SA residents return home. I have a place to quarantine away from the public, I’ve been given multiple negative covid tests and have made sure that I’m double vaxxed before returning home. SA health is a massive joke and are more worried about international travellers over their own residents. The poor effort they have when coming to the travel exemption that they can’t even have a contact number or working email for it. I’m actually ashamed to be an SA resident.

Can't even get in contact with SA Health to advise them of COVID positive tests by staff members, who did not even get an SMS from SA Health, so they cannot claim Pandemic Payment and neither can those who had to isolate and got negative tests back. Losing weeks of pay. Absolutely pathetic at a time when proper service and assistance is most needed.
