Throughout the day we were treated as VIPs in every single location that we went. From the get go you know that Matt is knowledgeable and has a close relationship with producers and winemakers in the Barossa region. The vehicle is new and comfortable and Matt made an effort to keep us cool under a hot sunny day in Barossa. Matt took the time to teach us about the region, and connected with our interests to make sure that the information that he provided kept us engaged throughout the tour. Great day out with Matt touring the Barossa. Matt's in-depth knowledge of the wine industry and local producers is second to none. Matt carefully selected wineries to match our specific tastes and we were luckily enough to get a behind the scenes look at the hard work undertaken by producers during the harvest season. Awesome experience at several smaller wineries in the Barossa. Matt was a great guide! Could not have asked for better. Well worth it for a much needed getaway for my wife! We will definitely come back and use Small Batch Wine tours again.

We had great tour of the Barossa region with Small Batch Wine Tours last week. Matthew put together a curated tour of some great hidden gem wineries based on our preferences, with the Poonawatta winery in the Eden Valley being a particular highlight, as well as a delicious lunch at Vino Lokal in Tanunda. Matthew was friendly and professional, providing an insightful history of the region and its winemaking culture during the drive. Transport was spacious and comfortable, with pick up and drop off from our accommodation in central Adelaide. Highly recommended, we'll definitely tour with Matthew again if we come back to Adelaide.

We had the most amazing day with Matt discovering Barossa Valley’s hidden gems : gorgeous boutique wineries doing things with passion and flair. We were also pretty lucky that we didn’t have to share our tour with other people and Adelaide put on some rather special weather. We learned so much about the region, its history and the families behind the wineries we visited. Touring with Matt was like hanging out with an old friend - so easy and so much fun. So glad we did it and we have another trip with Small Batch already booked!

Very enjoyable day trip with Matthew of Small Batch Wine Tours. Matt took myself and other guests to tour a total of 4 Barossa Valley wineries The drive was very comfortable and presentable. Matt was a great host who brought a casual and positive vibe throughout the day; ensuring everyone felt The lunch stop restaurant offered a lovely range of dishes. We were very well fed Matt was very helpful in offering tips for places to go and visit in Adelaide. Matt is an excellent tour guide and has great knowledge of Adelaide and the surrounding wine regions. He listened to us and tailored an itinerary which was super fun. We got to try lots of delicious wines at a number of lovely cellar doors.

Matthew gave us a great wine tour, day out and a look about the Adelaide Hills area. Very knowledgeable commentary on the wines and the surrounding areas and a really nice lunch at the Stanley Bridge pub. Nothing was a problem if you wanted to adjust a couple of things. Paul picked us up from our city hotel, he was on time, very knowledgeable about Adelaide and the wine regions and easy to listen to. The Mercedes people mover fit all 7 of us very comfortably. We had 4 women on the tour with us and we all had a ball. Lots of wine and laughter. The boutique wineries we visited had beautiful wines and we even had a tour of the production plant at Murray Street wines. We had a delicious lunch at Harvest Kitchen, so much food we couldn’t finish it all. The ended the day with a paddle of Gin tasting. That was awesome. We would highly recommend this company. Our money was well spent. We got to see the Barossa Valley, had great informative commentary and delicious wine and food.

We did both the McLaren Vale & Barossa shared tours & loved every minute. My wife and I toured McLaren Vale and the Barossa with Matt. He selected some wonderful vineyards for us and was clearly interested in trying to understand our tastes so he could pick the ones best suited to us. He’s very knowledgeable about viticulture and the region so the intervening drives were also highly informative. We would highly recommend him.

After we were picked up at our hotel and greeted by the owner and tour guide, Matt, my mother and I got into the van in which there were pamphlets that had information about the Barossa wine region and food guides. However, we didn’t even need to open them—Matt was so knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. He had a great appreciation of the wines of the region and took great care in making sure our experience was tailored to us. He got to know us and our taste preferences throughout the morning, and then made plans to visit certain wineries in accordance to what we liked. We lucked out on being the only ones on the tour, so we got to know Matt a bit more. It was such an interesting day getting to know him and hearing about all the facts and information about the region. It blended knowledge and fun in a really enjoyable, fun tour. Matt also had a great connection with everyone at the wineries we visited which made the experience all so much more welcoming. As an added plus, we got bottled water in the van to help stay hydrated. We thoroughly enjoyed Matt’s company and the intimacy of it being a small group tour. He truly cares about his business and is passionate about his clients. We highly recommend if you are really into wine and appreciate someone who also cares about the craft and has a great personality...the perfect pairing to a great day.

We had a fabulous time. Matthew picked us up at our slightly remote Air BNB. We shared our trip with one other couple form the UK and we were treated to 4 amazing wineries. Hemera, Rusden, Rockford and Charles Melton with a lunch stop at Harvest kitchen. Thanks Matthew for sharing your winery secrets and hospitality. Small Batch Wine Tours certainly delivered on our day in McLaren Vale. Paul our driver was incredibly knowledgeable about the wineries & wine in general. We were taken to 4 small wineries - all of which were fabulous. Would definitely recommend Matthew & his team. And we will certainly book again for our next visit to McLaren Vale.

Matthew and team coordinated an amazing day for the celebration of my 60th. We were especially impressed with the efforts he made to understand our preferences and personalities and tailor a day suited to us. Matt's knowledge of the Barossa Valley and the winemakers we visited was excellent and his choice of wineries really reflected our tastes. The highlights of the tour turned out to be the "surprise" winemaker he chose. What a unique and enthralling visit that proved to be! Matt was absolutely amazing, I was so impressed! I was travelling with some friends that each had very different tastes in wine and Matt was able to cater to all of our different needs in the one tour. We booked a Barossa tour as part of our honeymoon in Adelaide. We received a great guide to Adelaide beforehand on places to eat and drink, which was a lovely touch from the owner! Pick up and drop off was seamless and the tour itself was wonderful! We had Kya as our guide - she was so friendly and knew lots about wine which was great. The vehicle was super comfy and the lunch we had at Harvest Kitchen was superb - so much delicious and seasonal food on offer. We visited 4 top-notch small batch wineries and had a great experience at all of them. We were lucky enough to be on the tour with just one other couple who were lovely and we had a great day together. My husband & I did a Small Batch Wine Tour to the Barossa and had a very enjoyable day, and were taken to some lovely wineries. Our driver Kaya was very knowledgeable about the wines in the Barossa. We particularly enjoyed the Small Batch tour as it was all inclusive & included a delicious lunch.
