We stayed here on Friday evening with our camper van. We ate in the restaurant during the evening and both meals were very generous in portion size and also good value for money. I had steamed haddock, with prawns in a chilli sauce, served with vegetables and potatoes - I think I had a whole fish on the plate, although I did ask for the large portion. Deserts were equally nice, although how we had room for them is a mystery. The menu is varied and there are daily specials. Breakfasts were equally good in terms of portion size, quality and value for money. After breakfast, we had a cuppa in the conservatory, before leaving for our next destination. The area is excellent for cycling and dog walking. Dog friendly at one side of the bar too. Staff and owners are very pleasant and even though we are not local to the area, we will certainly be returning. I'm looking forward to the breakfast already!

Love the Haven Inn. Great pub serving home cooked food and serving a wide range of drinks. Restaurant and snug bar area to eat food. The other side of the bar is dog friendly and work boot friendly. Staff are friendly and chatty making you feel welcome and like a member of the family. The food choice is superb and caters for all tastes and has a good selection of vegetarian food as well. Although I would recommend the steak pie!!! Also serving a wide range of tasty puddings and a wide selection of drinks including non alcoholic beer and cider. Reasonably priced and well worth the money as the service is excellent! Visit and see for yourself

Been for Sunday lunch today . Took my Grandson who is a food critic 🙈😂 My husband had the steak pie apparently better than mine ! (He was having a brave moment 😂) My Grandson and I had the Sunday roast Excellent one of the best we have ever had . My Grandson the critic ! Said the cauliflower cheese was the second best he had ever tasted ( only said that because he dare not say it was the best otherwise his Auntie would have never cooked another one for him ! ) The staff were wonderful and attentive nothing was too much trouble . Our next visit will be in our motorhome . You are able to stay overnight free if you use the restaurant. .Fantastic location Nice walk along the river bank to burn some calories .

Had family visit. Location fantastic. Building great. Atmosphere very welcoming. Food delicious. Staff efficient, helpful, courteous, pleasant all round. Only real downside was staff attire.... I understand they can wear what they want to appear smart, and I'm certainly no prude. But maybe just a teeny bit less revealing. They are all very pretty and intelligent girls and a credit to the pub, but a slightly lower hemline and a few more shirt buttons fastened wouldn't be objectionable.

Absolutely fantastic! Joe and Lindy, the hosts are so friendly and welcoming. Mel the bar maid is a good laugh as are the rest of the residents / locals. So happy this will be my second home for the next 6 months!! Watch out for the sausage

This place is amazing! Had the best weekend of relaxation here. The staff and regulars were so freindly and polite. Very dog freindly our pup has never been so settled lazing by the cosy fire. Kitchen staff went above and beyond to ensure we had our favourite dessert. Food was amazing room was warm and cozy. Our new favorite place to spend the weekend.

Just had our first visit for lunch...what a lovely experience! The place... We sat in one of the bars. Extremely clean and tidy, well decorated and a cosy real fire blazing away. The food..... An excellent choice of competitively priced fare to choose from. Arrived very well presented and piping hot. Food was of an excellent standard, freshly prepared and was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff... We received a super-friendly, warm greeting as we walked in....always appreciated. We found all the staff Extremely polite, friendly and genuinely nice. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Found them very attentive too - was asked several times if everything was ok, and could they get us anything else. Coildnt fault any of them at all...they are a credit to the Haven Inn! Overall, we had a brilliant lunch out, and it certainly won't be our last visit to the Haven Inn.

Service was slow, but will concede it was a pre-Christmas Sunday. Had the carvery, good quality meat let down by the veg offering. Not ruling out forever, but they would only get one more chance. Staff pleasant but inexperienced.
