Ok so, there is nothing negative about this awesome pub. The biggest things for me that I find unbelievably outstanding are: Sooooo Dog friendly. My dog, Biscuits has been going in from the very first day we got here. She knows all the staff, I honestly think her tail will fall off one day it wags sooooo much. On arrival she literally pulls me in the door! She bombs around looking for her friends: Steph, Dawn, Bernadet, and everyone else………..She gets an abundance of love (& treats) and truly loves going to her local to see everyone 🐾 Staff instantly ask if they want a bowl of water, give fuss, fuss & more fuss! Dog waffle over, other things re Rose n Crown…….. Family Run. Steph - Landlady is simply the best. So friendly, welcoming, supportive to her staff, great with customers and cannot do enough for the customers. All the staff are great, to name a few….Dawn, Rob, Simone, Bernadet, absolutely everyone else. Food great. Toilets clean. Any problems (extremely rare) are sorted immediately. Very Covid aware-hygiene is paramount to them. I could go on forever! To summarise, go to the Rose & Crown! No other pub around comes even close to this! It’s like one big family and and Biscuit and I, like everyone else, is made to feel part of it. Top place! 🥰😎🐾🐾x

This was our first visit to the Rose & Crown and what a little hidden gem it is. Upon our arrival we were greated by a very friendly member of staff, nothing was too much trouble and the chef even put Happy birthday on a plate as requested with our desert. All the staff were really friendly & welcoming. Food was very tasty and of a high standard. Service was very quick & efficient. Everything was on point went above & beyond our expectations & more. If you havent tried it yet i highly recommend giving it a go you wont be disappointed. Thank-you guys keep doing what you all are doing to make this place a great place to eat. I went to this restaurant today and asked the waitress if there was a table available. However, she did not hear me because there was a lot of noise and commotion due to the Chelsea vs Arsenal match today. So, I moved closer to her and repeated my question. She continued to avoid me and gave me a disdainful look while saying some unpleasant words. After that, another waitress answered my question. The second waitress asked me how many people need to eat and I told her it was just me. She then seated me in the worst location. So, I decided to leave right away. The food and beer at this restaurant are decent and I have been here a few times before. However, it is best to avoid it when it is crowded. The discriminatory behaviour displayed by the lady was disgusting. She probably thought I could not understand English.

Angela is such a breath of fresh air. A lady who exudes class and demands awe from all who encounter her. Never has a maiden so fair blessed the lives of so many. A true great of the 21st century and her skills as a barmaid are akin to that of an all time great. Thank you Angela for a wonderful evening. Louise equally as lovely and graceful. Never has anyone worked a tap aswell as her. I could not recommend this place enough.

This was the first time we have had a meal, the first time in years we have visitors the Rose & Crown. We'll we found it to have a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, busy too which gives a good impression. The two meal we had were a good standard as we enjoyed and emptied our plates. We had an excellent service from Kirsty and other members of staff too. We will definitely be coming again.

First time visiting the Rose and Crown, the staff were really great and so was the service, the food arrived to the table quickly. I had a steak which was perfectly cooked medium rare, with waffle fries and peppercorn sauce and the apple pie with ice cream for dessert. The food was high quality and the friendly staff's service was excellent. If you are ever in the Lenton area you should definitely go to the Rose and Crown for a meal.

Rose and Crown – your typical spot, nothing fancy. Prices are decent, especially for students on a budget. It's a no-frills place, but the affordable beers make it a go-to for those looking to enjoy a drink without emptying their pockets. Also always have the football on which is great.

A pie and a pint what's not to like. Great service, nice atmosphere and fantastic food at a great price. Definitely deserves 5 starts

I love it here! The food is always amazing, I’ve never had a bad experience and I’ve been going here for years. The staff are always friendly and polite, you get your food quickly and the prices are very reasonable, I highly recommend!

My hockey team was invited back to the Rose and Crown by Nottingham Hockey club for our post match teas. The food and drink was fine and the seating area outside was big enough for both teams. However, I later found out that I'd received a fine for parking in their car park. I email the pub using the email address provided but they didn't respond. As a result I now have a £100 fine I need to pay for!

Amazing place, lovely food at a reasonable price. Staff are very friendly and polite, would highly recommend. I've been coming here over 20yrs. You won't be disappointed 5*

As a German citizen I am not used to pub culture and I am overwhelmed with the experiences I’ve made in this pub so far. As it is very cheap, it is a place well suited for students but also for everyone else to have a good time. Also the staff is always ordinarily nice and polite! I definitely recommend to go there!

These guys always go above and beyond. I’m not just talking about the day to day aspects of running a pub, but the little extras - free meals on Christmas Day to the emergency services, or providing a free meals on wheels service during lockdown for people who were struggling. It’s a good, old-fashioned community pub.

1st time here. Food was amazing, I had the mix grill and I am normally very picky (I'm a Karen) . Everything was cooked perfectly. Jen was absolutely amazing very kind couldn't do enough for you. Atmosphere was so lovely. Highly recommended!

Meal was fine, the music was a bit too loud for me and my partner. But that's just our opinion. Half way through dessert, for some reason, the lights went out. Don't know why. The staff were excellent and very professional, the place was very busy and they seemed unflappable. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll like it. I'd go again, but probably in the week. There were a good few youngsters in on Friday and they were noisy. Not rowdy or rude, just youngsters being youngsters. My partner didn't mind that, she says I'm a grumpy old git. I must be, as she's always telling me that she's always right. 🙄. Anyway, go there, you'll enjoy good food, professional service and it's not expensive either. 👍

Have been a regular at the Rose and Crown for the past 5 years. Can only attest to what other comments have said, it is truly fantastic. The food, drinks and service are stellar. All of the staff are lovely. In particular, Bernadette always makes customers feel welcome and goes above and beyond to provide excellent service with a smile! Thank you Rose and Crown we eat here at least twice a week and attend as many events as possible. Food is hot and tasty, very reasonable prices. Staff are first rate. Beautifully refurbished this is mine and my family’s favourite place to be now. Food is excellent, I love the staff who all treat us like family, it is the most welcoming place in Nottingham.

Staff really upbeat, helpful and attentive. We were made to feel very welcome. Food and service spot on even though it was getting really busy. We went midday tea time and this place is clearly popular.

A very well managed, lively and vibrant pub, which serves great food, and show all sports on TV. The Staff were excellent and went out of their way to accommodate in a very busy atmosphere.The beer is very good and reasonably priced, looks to be mainly a student pub. But there are also a lot of older couples and sport fans. They also have various evening entertainment. Will definitely be back.

Not often very fond of chain pubs but this was one of, if not the, best one recollection offers. The behaviour of the staff was extremely professional, as well as being exceptionally helpful and friendly. Extra special thanks to the wonderful Kirsty, who was particularly attentive and accommodating, but all of the staff who helped us were great. The food was prepared perfectly, portions were very generous and prices were really reasonable. Even under very difficult family circumstances (we were staying in the area because a family member was in ICU) the experience of eating at the Rose and Crown was very enjoyable because we were welcomed warmly and served conscientiously in a comfortable, clean environment. The other patrons were polite and peaceful, too. Top marks. Highly recommended!

Friendly and welcoming staff - great food and good beer. Was part of a very large party, in which they managed to get pretty much all of the food out in a reasonable time. There were a few outliers - however, with the numbers involved, they did a grand job. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Classic pub. Food is great, staff are great! Sunday pub quiz is so much fun too! Definitely recommend!
