Being in Nottingham for 3 years for university as a creative student I can say this is my favourite place to go! I base bars and cafes to coco tang because they have it spot on. Even in London! The venue was firstly a cocktail bar which also has a dance floor and is more of an underground club night on Wednesdays which is student night. High quality cocktails are £5 or under on this night! Its more of a dress up student night and on the weekends it's often known for locals to go to. The venue design goes into the detail of its gold leaf menu wall paintings and the toilets are nicely designed and even a chill out area. I don't want to give details away but it's definitely worth a visit. They have recently opened up a cafe which connects to the bar, it's Vietnamese food and inspired venue. It's delicious and very reasonably priced. It's order at the till then waitresses will bring the food. On the graduation period the venue made an exclusive cocktail (as in photograph) with a graduation cake. It was the perfect way to see off Nottingham :) Don't miss this amazing bar when you visit Nottingham!

Quite a few cocktail selections. It is expensive, but you can get student discount. The Regina George cocktail was amazing.

My ONLY 5 star review in Nottingham. I’ve visited Coco Tang over the course of 3 months so waited until my last visit before posting a review. Secluded restaurant down a side street in the middle of town. The food is amazing, authentic and consistent every time I come. Great selection of cocktails and beers from Asia - happy from 8pm-10pm. I’ve had the lucky chance to nearly sample everything on the food menu and it’s all very good and tasty. The service is friendly, however the front of house can be slightly be more welcoming. But this small thing won’t dampen the overall rating of the restaurant. They also run a good discount scheme if you frequent their restaurant. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a quick tasty Asian bite to eat with a colonial romantic atmosphere. Save room for the cakes after finishing as well!

By day Coco Tang is a great place to chill, grab lunch, and have a coffee. By night, it is the hippest place in Nottingham. It feels like an old school secret club, the sort of place you want to see and be seen in. The bar is one of the best in Nottingham, the cocktails both entertainment and a delight. 100% recommend.

Up there with one of the best cocktail bars I’ve been to. The whole place has such a cool and boujee vibe to it. We loved the cocktails! They were so delicious and really packed a punch ;) The servers were great also; making the cocktails right in front of us, they gave us some theatre and happily entertained our (slightly drunk and annoying) conversation. Very aesthetic interior Drinks are very creative but are not all excellent. nonetheless always an experience. Coco Tang is a more expensive establishment. So if you looking for something unique and extra Coco Tang will deliver.

First time here but I will be back. Great place to catch up with friends. Lovely roof terrace. Food was fresh and tasty, and they served super cocktails too.

The worst pub in Nottingham. Such a rasict pub if they see some people who aren't British, they will let you stay for 30-50 minutes outside the pub and then they will kick you out by saying, ( guys you are totally drunk and you guys won't be able to get inside the pub ). kindly avoid this pub.

We are here on Saturday evening. They were able to accommodate us as a walk in. Really great atmosphere, cocktail selection is very good, food was excellent and came quickly. Service was slow and even though it was busy there didn’t seem to be an allocated person on any area so you had to ‘catch someone in passing’ for everything you needed.

Lovely cocktails. Me and my partner both had the flight club. Might I add, the staff made our visit even better as they were extremely welcoming and warm.

One of the most beautiful and interesting interiors in Nottingham. Worth a visit for this if nothing else. Simply the best coffee, tea and cake. The food is OK but nothing special. The staff are wonderful! Great service!

Went for the bar area which was a good vibe, though wouldn't be able to have more than 2 drinks here and spend a whole evening here just due to style of music, prices and lack of cocktails to my personal taste. The cocktails were quirky - though a service charge is added automatically and the cocktails are pricey enough as it is. Would like to try the food next time!

Normally come here for drinks during the eve/night, and all the cocktails are absolutely amazing, they contain plenty of alcohol and do the job nicely whilst still being incredibly tasty. Day time food, never had any issues always delicious 😋

Great cocktail bar with exciting cocktails and cool decor in Nottinghams Lacemarket. Lots of space but still feels intimate and lively. Staff are all lovely and cocktails are delicious.

I never been to such a terrible place in my life. The securities stopped me as I was wearing hoodies, where as their website says "no dress code" Traumatic experience.. Will never opt again...

We really enjoyed the cocktails and general atmosphere at Coco Tang. The themed cocktails are very tasty and highly instagram-able. The edible soap on a fight club themed cocktail was a particular highlight. Make sure to get there before 10 pm to make the most of the happy hour (1/3 off all house cocktails).

I've visited cocotang in Nottingham on Friday. My first impression is just ok. It's quite dark and dungeon inside the cocotang. Although they sell a great cocktail I don't think I'd like to go again.
