A great pub tucked away a few minutes walk from the city centre. Excellent beers and great range to try at good prices. Beers from all around the world on offer. Small and cozy but well worth the time to walk and enjoy the beers on offer. Good place to meet up with people. Has toilets. Very friendly staff. Part of the local castle rock brewery chain in Nottingham and has a loyalty app.

An absolute must-visit for beer drinkers visiting Nottingham. Quaint interior, with plenty of room to get busy but not too big so as to get overbearing! Toilets are a bit last century but the beer selection, food, vibes, and outdoor areas here are great!

Great pub that had loads of beer & craft beer selections. I would say there is at least 8 each of keg & cask + ciders, wines etc. Guy who runs it is very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Food looked excellent although we didn't eat here. It also seems to open early on the weekend rather than 12 like all others.

Great food, huge selection of cask and real ale. Good Curry and a fab pint at a reasonable price. What more could you want?

A nice little pub with great, Indian-influenced food and an even greater selection of beer. The waiter was also well instructed and could answer all the questions about the beers available (not just the ones on the tap). Sadly they don't have wheat beer glasses for the wheat beer (considerd a sacrilege in Germany). Also the offer a good choice of whisky.

Asked what one of the draught stouts was like, response was โ€˜no ideaโ€™ followed by โ€˜I donโ€™t drinkโ€™. Good for you but not helpful as a customer! Also as someone I know told me the other day, the smell of curry in the pub is overwhelming (there was only two other people in and no one eating). I know this has put at least one group of regulars off. And we love curry but it is too much.

A great selection of beers and spirits and the food is brilliant. As someone who lived in Leicester for 9 years and thoroughly enjoyed eating at Indian restaurants, I couldn't recommend this pace more. It can be a tad cramped at times, but it is worth it!

Great selection of real ales on cask and craft beer on keg. Pleasant surroundings and atmosphere and fantastic Indian street food - what's not to like?

Great pub, tucked away in the centre. Range of cask and keg ales along with some brilliant bottled Belgian beers. Indian food too. All reasonable priced. Looking forward to returning soon.

Absolutely superb, one of the best pubs in Nottingham. It's somewhat hidden near St Mary's in the Lace Market area so you probably won't find it by just casually walking around; however, it's absolutely worth finding. It's a Castle Rock pub with an excellent selection of 6 cask and 18 craft beer on keg alongside some more mainstream offerings, they have some really good and quite unusual beers on, there's also spirits, soft drinks etc. Their bottle and can selection is worth a special mention, it's absolutely outstanding with some seriously top tier beers available. Food is by Paaji and is India street food alongside full dishes, it's also outstanding...some of the best I've ever eaten. Highly recommended.

One of my favourite pubs. Best choice of beer and Whiskey, and the on-site curryhouse is out of this world!

Very good pub about 10 minutes walk from Nottingham Railway Station. Six cask ales - and three ciders - on handpump when I visited including a milk stout. The pub is located in Nottingham's historic Lace Market opposite the Grade I-listed St Mary's Church. The pub itself, which is Grade II-listed was built in 1907 as offices and a warehouse. It is named after the Shakespearean actor Edmund Kean who in 1861 appeared as Hamlet in a nearby theatre. Busy but not impossibly so before the Spurs game at the City Ground.

Superb craft lineup featuring local and international beers. Great range of pale, IPA, mixed fermentation and unusual beers. We had amazing food here too from Paajis - not sure if they're always here but it was some of the best street food we've ever had. If I wasn't on the way out of Nottingham when we visited, I'd have easily spent all day working through the board!

Very, very good. Exceptional service and to find a boozer that does amazing curry and the best chips I've ever tasted is a god send. Check it out when in Nottingham you won't be disappointed

One of the best pubs in nottingham city centre In my opinion. The superb selection of cask and keg is kept in fantastic condition and changes regularly. Thereโ€™s something for everyone from sours from Sweden to bitters from Britain. Staff are awesome and always happy to make recommendations.

It's a good place with a fantastic selection of beers and whisky, including the only brittish trappist beer. It's just that I feel they could do more with the interior, and the bar staff is a little grumpy. Both look faded and greasy.

A great stop off and firm favourite for a well deserved drink on the way home from the cricket ground this is a good, traditional feeling pub. A large eclectic selection of real ales and ciders all of which suggest a very well kept cellar. The Keans Head has cosy, welcoming feel to it and a marvellous smell of Indian food which is prepared and served on the premises. Friendly staff and locals make it a pub to enjoy and return to on future visits.

Always a pleasure to visit the Kean's Head. It's easy to get to but just out of the way enough to make it busy but not packed, even on a Saturday afternoon. There's always a proper selection of beers and ciders on and even though we've never tried it, the food looks really good. If you're up that way and fancy a great pint and a chat with friends, this is the place to do it.

Cosy little pub - a bit of a hidden gem. A great place to try a range of craft beers (including a good selection of no/low alcohol options). Has got a particularly good range of whisky on offer, from around the world...alongside side a wide range of other spirits, if that suits your tastes. My partner and I quite often visit for a half pint, accompanied by a whisky chaser. A nice way to try things we haven't had before. Also conveniently located for a quick one, before or after the ice hockey.

Absolutely love this place. Amazing selection of craft beer and ale. Since the last time I went, they've started serving Indian Street Food. Didn't try any, but it smelt lush!

Most delicious-smelling pub in the UK? Really excellent Indian food from (substantial) snacks to full meals. Very good balanced range of beers with a handful of ciders. Nice airy vibe with a pleasing number of stools for solo drinking. Visited several times in a brief trip to Nottingham and shall be sure to return.

Relaxed and unspoilt. Excellent beers and an amazing selection of whiskies. Food is served.

Just love any Castlerock pub and this one does not disappoint. Even better you get beer and curry in the same place! Having lived in the Middle East for a number of years, Iโ€™ve been totally spoilt eating proper Indian food. Paajiโ€™s is on par, offering a lovely selection of tasty traditional food. Their Daal Makni is outstanding, best Iโ€™ve had in the UK. I highly recommend this offer.

4 for building /atmosphere. 3 for the beers. Haven't been here since before Covid, but both the draught and bottle selection seemed lacking.

Small, intimate city centre pub with very good range of beers, especially real ales. Located in the attractive Lace Market area opposite St. Mary's church.

The Keans Head is an institution in the Lace Market. It's a small one roomed pub I the shadow of the magnificent St Mary's Church. The selection of real ale, craft beer and proper cider is ace, and they have some interesting alcohol free beers too. Well worth popping in if you are in the city centre.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Absolutely amazing! I went to have lunch on my graduation day with my friends. Food was very flavourful and cocktails were nice. Special dietary options are available and you always get 2-4-1 cocktails. Service was really friendly and approachable. Ambience and music is just cherry on top.
