Very nice place, great service and good food.

First visit since before the pandemic. Very pleasant pub with nice atmosphere and very helpful staff. The menus had plenty of choice at very reasonable prices. I had the fish and chips which was very tasty. Would recommend.

Lewis was absolutely fantastic, brilliant service from the whole kitchen and lovely staff all round. Very enjoyable atmosphere too, loved every second in here.

Went for a quick lunch on our way home. Decent food with a good selection of drinks. Their cutlery set definitely needs sharpening. I could barely cut my steak with the steak knife even when the waiter brought me a second knife upon complaining. Dishes need a little more garnishing, especially the burgers for which you pay over £12. We didn't find the service particularly impressive. Large parking area on site is definitely a plus!

We had a lovely visit to The Nurseryman. It was busy but welcoming and we enjoyed a lovely meal! Food was great, arrived quickly and reasonably priced. Service was good with attentive staff. Blue Light card discounts can be used too! Fabulous friends, fabulous food and fabulous service made it a very enjoyable evening - thank you #Team Nurseryman!

Self service via the app very easy and good. Quite pricey for what is simple food. Ribs £40+. And steaks quite fatty but cooked as asked. £80 for 3 adults and a 5 year old for 4 mains, a drink each and 3 deserts. Good menu - plenty of choice and the food came out hot. They forgot the side salad but refunded it no hassle when asked. Fast and friendly service. Just wish the cutlery came before the food (pet hate). Small gated play area for kids. Overall… convenient and did what we needed it to.

One of the few pubs who serve good food on a Sunday evening and are dog friendly. We had a lovely evening taking our daughter out for her 20th birthday (with our dog). The very kind staff gave our daughter a gift as we left - very sweet. Thank you Nurseryman for a memorable evening.

Beautiful plentiful food. Mixed grill was cooked perfectly and along with peppercorn sauce was great. Our waitress Abbie was very polite and looked after us well. Great value and worth another trip!

Drinks were fine. Ordering the food took a little while, but we double-checked that all orders were correct. After quite a long wait, the waitress came and said that none of the starters were available. We asked for chips instead. Then the manager came and explained that they had no vegan buns. The vegetarian explained that she was not vegan. After an hour the food came. The vegetarian was reassured that her burger was vegetarian, she realised that it was chicken and the pregnant lady who had ordered chicken was given the meat free burger. She said no I ordered crispy chicken, so they took it away and brought her another vegan burger but reassured her it was chicken. To be fair they refunded those dishes and offered free pudding but we were too scared to eat there any more. We have been coming to this pub for 23 years at least and had dozens of meals here as a family over the last 17 years. We've always found that food was pretty good. I'm really shocked how far standards have dropped. I can envisage that this may be a one-off and hope that it is not a more widespread malaise which would need a management change.

Took my young lad in for a meal, everything was spot on. Staff were great, attentive and friendly, food was perfect and a nice play area out back. Will definitely be going back!

Ate here as part of a large group (18) people and very impressed, food was of a good standard and served very promptly given the number of people, all hot and 100% correct. Was particularly impressed with Chloe who was a delight, very helpful, and happy to deal with all the requests we each had from food to payment. Highly recommended.

It used to have an unfavourable reputation, but that has changed, the food is good and plenty of it. I would struggle with a starter, main and dessert. The staff are friendly and it could easily be a local type of pub. My Stepdad complained about too much food, which I thought I would never hear! If you tried it years ago and had a negative experience, try again, we have switched locals.

Been here about 3 times in 2 years every time its awful service its never improved. Went yesterday first they left us waiting ages. Then they dropped the bread from one of the starters and didn't replace it. Most of the mains were cold the mixed grills were ice cold apart from the sausage. The steak sandwich was pure gristle. The sauce that came with salmon tasted out of date. 2hrs+ for 2 courses is unacceptable. Will not give another chance. I'm guessing the chefs trying his harder to be let down by poor service staff.

We like to try a different pub each month to try their food. We go on service quality of the food and portion sizes. Let's just say after we shared the chicken starter platter for two. We wish we had not ordered a main as neither of us could move I'm 6 ft and weight around 17st and was stuffed. Food quality and service amazing. We even had to get takeaway boxes We will be back again in a months time when our food haS gone down lol

Big open space inside. Plenty of parking in car park. Clean and pleasant environment inside. Neither flat nor boisterous .. just maybe a little bland. Busy for a Wednesday evening but again plenty of seating which was quite spacious for 5 around 1 table. Staff were nice and polite and accommodating. But .. took far too long for service. Drinks orders were backed up so I'm assuming not enough staff .. in a 90 minute sitting we were lucky to squeeze in 2 drinks services .. the second being coffee. Off the 5 meals ordered 1 of our mains was incorrect and 1 of our deserts was incorrect. Our first choices were not available for unknown reason so we settled for burgers and a salmon. We didn't complain due to the struggle to serve and in all honesty the food served was OK. Pretty standard pub fare, presented and cooked well but no wow. Deserts were I'd say above standard quality but again more akin to school deserts .. sticky toffee/apple crumble/brownie. But I prefer that .. I enjoyed these .. they were hot and well proportioned. Bill was approx 150 for 5 .. 2 course .. 2 drinks .. about right. I would go again and give them another chance. Always forgiving in these times as long as food served is value .. which this was. I'd give 3.5 if I could.

Luckily we chose something that was available as 2 other couples arrived and nothing on lunch menu left also the staff did more huffing & puffing than work……you would be hard pushed to know it’s Christmas that’s for sure… real shame as really was looking forward to this and the atmosphere was way more than flat!!

Visited this lovely pub yesterday for lunch. Must say the food was absolutely excellent, I had the steak sandwich with fries, yummy. Lovely, friendly and very helpful staff. Will certainly go back there.

I go in here regularly and have only had one minor issue which was resolved quickly. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere welcoming. Usual waiting times on food, if they're busy food can take longer but always advised on this when ordering

Had a lovely meal with my daughter and 5 year old grandson here. The service was spot on and my steak sandwich was to die for. I'm between jobs at the moment but the atmosphere has made me feel like I'd love to work here. Lovely place with welcoming staff.

Had a brilliant meal here. The food was great and very reasonably priced, the staff were lovely especially stacey she was brilliant, she was very welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful. I will definitely be returning again.
