I
deliberately
left
my
14year
old
son
outside
and
asked
the
barman
if
I
could
bring
him
in
for
a
meal
because
it
was
8.45pm,
so
didn't
know
if
children
were
allowed
in.
I
was
told
there
wasn't
a
problem
,therefore
I
bought
a
round
of
drinks
that
came
to
Β£16.
We
got
a
table
and
was
looking
at
the
menu
to
choose
our
food.
Literally
7
minutes
in
and
a
manager
approaches
us
and
informs
us
we
have
to
leave
by
9pm
because
no
children
allowed
then!
Immediately
I
said
we
had
asked
the
staff
before
even
letting
my
son
enter
and
we
even
told
them
we
were
going
to
order
food.
He
didn't
address
the
member
of
staff
about
relaying
the
incorrect
information
to
us.
I
then
enquired
if
we
could
finish
our
drinks
off
outside,
to
which
he
replied
no
and
they
would
lose
their
licence
if
he
permitted
that.
I
politely
told
him
it
wasn't
our
fault
and
I
intended
to
consume
our
beverages,
as
I
wasn't
wasting
my
money.
He
started
walking
off
and
turned
back
round
and
said
I
should
be
grateful
that
he
was
allowing
us
to
finish
them
and
not
make
us
leave
straightaway.
I
have
worked
in
many
pubs
and
this
was
terrible
customer
service.
In
addition,
the
staff
member
that
initially
told
us
children
were
allowed
in
should
be
full]y
aware
of
such
a
basic
but
terribly
important
piece
of
information.
This
pub
is
local
to
me
and
the
rude
and
unprofessional
behaviour
has
tainted
my
opinion
of
this
place.
I
think
some
staff
training
needs
to
be
done
rapid
at
this
establishment.
