RUDE and IMPOLITE manager!!! The staff cleared full plates of food within the 5 minutes we were gone in spite of leaving our bags and jackets on the table!!! Manager was very rude and didnt even consider settling the matter. Our table still has rubbish glasses of alcohol from previous customers but the manager chose to clear out only the food plates that were full!! Used to be a great fan of gooseberry bush, definitely not one anymore 👍🏻

Great pub food. The beef burger with chips is only £4. Honestly a great deal.

Came for breakfast this morning with my 2 year old child sat next the fire that wasn't lit. My son was sat closest to it where he was able to pick up a very sharp steak which they leave accessible to children. Spoke to the manager and she said that it isn't a family pub yet they let children in till 9pm!! Not even an apology, be very cautious if you bring your children to this pub

Wheelchair Accessible: No Food Quality: Good Service: Excellent Atmosphere: Good Hygiene: Okay A lovely pub located right next to Nottingham Trent University's city campus. For anyone that doesn't know, Spoons is a chain pub that serves food and beverages, both alchoholic and non alchoholic. They also have vegitarian options to the non-meat eaters. This branch is mainly visited by students and is quite a busy one, especially during nights

Very top notch Witherspoon. Stands out from the chain of normal establishments and provides higher rate of service, cleanliness and comfort.

Great food. Place was really quiet at 1:30pm Friday. Friendly staff. All day brunch is a bargain. Parking is an ANPR Pay and display carpark at rear, or street parking around the area.

Really nice Wetherspoons, draws a big student crowd, which is not surprising. Staff were very friendly and the food and drink was great. The chicken wings are a big hit with my family

Got to love the gooseberry bush - really good Wetherspoons to study in. It’s not too loud between the hours of 10-5. The coffee machine is sometimes broken however I still come back for my unlimited mochas.

Very quiet. 8" roasted veg pizza delicious, beer first rate. Less than £7. What's not to like?

I just left this restaurant now, and I must say I had the most awesome experience. The ambience , the meal , and the professional character displayed by the staff were really good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a high-quality dine in experience for a fair price.

Went with friends. Bar staff got order wrong and when politely pointed out the error, became very rude and stand offish. Place was almost empty during our visit. Would i return? Only if they change the staff to someone who knows how to deal with customers.

Nice atmosphere, quick table service via the app, real fire in the corner. Food was OK, could be a little cleaner.

Food was ok at best, however could be a lot better (I suspect the fryer oil hadn’t been changed in a while.) The waiter wanted to be elsewhere and took offence to a simple query - not all customers are regulars. Atmosphere was grim, I think the cemetery down the road had more life. Also you should really clean plates and cutlery in the kitchen not in the customer dining area.

Great pub in a quiet neighborhood but well supported. Atmosphere is relaxed and a lot less hassle than the alternative in the town centre. £2.06 for va point of Stowford Press at the time of writing - can't complain about that!

Pubs are the best place to eat in england, not tiring junk food. cheapest place to get good proper food. So much better for your body than fast food. Sausage quality is very low, every other product I have liked. Very rapid service, 2 different terraces, very close to the arboretum for a romantic stroll after lunch.

Well it's a Wetherspoons however as far as Wetherspoons go it's not too bad. Food standard Wetherspoons issue but never made me sick and always warm. Surroundings always clean and coffee machine works more often than not.

Good cheap food, arrived very quickly after ordering. Service was good, pretty busy as well. Food was lovely as normal for Wetherspoons. Good job. 👍

Found a long strand of hair in my food. Not a very clean restaurant. Most of the tables are sticky. When we asked staff to clean it for us they told us to just sit somewhere else. Staff not very helpful

One of Nottinghams more pleasant Wetherspoons pubs. Nice ambiance and great food. Staff are pleasant and tables constantly cleaned and cleared. I had the Xmas dinner with a free pint. Excellent ale and the dinner perfect. Veggie options and dietary requirements catered for as for all J. D. wetherspoons. WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE.

Walked from The Roebuck- only about 15 minutes. Smart exterior, especially with the plants and hanging baskets. Very quiet, possibly due to the lack of students who usually reside here. Not many ales on tap so I settled for a bottle of Devil's Backbone. If I return to the city, I'll go back to The Roebuck first and go from there.

Lovely pub, nice atmosphere, very clean, friendly and efficient staff, great choice of beers and good food. All at great value-for-money as you'd expect. Only at the 'spoons!

This is a lovely weatherspoons in Nottingham. Great lay with big screens on for the sport. I didn't eat but I was with 12 others who all enjoyed their breakfast. Place was clean, good layout and friendly staff

Fantastic and welcoming pub with great staff, lovely food and quiet while students are not around, been told it can get a little loud when students are here. But in over all I feel honoured to have this pub in our area

First and last visit, this was the nearest to our Premier Inn stay. Horrible,. The whole place had an unpleasant smell the cloth seats I suspected. Needed tables wiping as very sticky which could have been done as the place only had eight of us in at 5.00pm. We had a drink and left, only good thing cheap drinks prices. The one at Leeds near the arena is fantastic and a quick turnaround, perhaps someone could show them how it's done.

Lovely little Wetherspoons on the street that I was born on.... Actually the building is situated in the exact same place! Great drinks and good food, good prices, near to Nottingham Trent University...

Second best Wetherspoons in the city after the Roebuck. A student hive so can get very busy. Slightly outside the centre and I didn't know it existed until a few years ago. Nice layout with a decent outside area. Can have a lack of cask ales, which for a Wetherspoons is highly unusual.

5 stars outside of Uni term time, less during. You guessed it, I'm no longer a student. Bar staff very attentive but manager a bit odd. Good Wetherspoons with with windows you can watch drug dealing from... Ladies loos cd do with the plumbing looking at.

Have had breakfast here a few times.. and always been great. But this morning it really was not good. Very disappointed. Undercooked bacon.. butter was melted in its little container.. everything was pretty cold.

👍👍 Absolutely amazing! I went to have lunch on my graduation day with my friends. Food was very flavourful and cocktails were nice. Special dietary options are available and you always get 2-4-1 cocktails. Service was really friendly and approachable. Ambience and music is just cherry on top.
