Excellent pub. Loads of room inside. I had the 20 Onion Ring stacker and they were all delicious (yep, all 20 of them, and I didn't share one). The lady serving was super friendly (I think she might be the manager of the pub). Would recommend this to others

Excellent food!... Host/waiter was very attentive and barman and barlady also on point. The hospitality and food was a real positive and felt it a credit to the brand, who usually would not be our first choice. Will definitely be returning and recommending. Mains and sides were really fresh, well timed and very tasty. Thanks and much appreciated

Avoid. Been many times to this place. Rare to get a decent meal. Our fault for revisiting you might say but it is local and regarded as cheap and cheerful. Really disappointed to hear about my partners visit today, two meals ordered. One an all day breakfast that came with a teaspoon of beans. The other fish and chips look warm chips. Waitress seemed annoyed at being asked to wipe the table. Will not ever go back

Went for a Christmas meal. Off the Christmas menu. I would not recommend this to anyone the Turkey was OK but not fresh. 2 Brussels sprouts half a dozen carrot battons, 1 florets of cauliflower. Garden peas. Yorkshire pudding. Burnt roast potatoes. Gravy. I have never had such a poor meal. It was luke warm. Desert I had whitechocolate gateau soaked in mulled wine. It was very dry and was brown in colour. Looked nothing like a white chocolate Gateau. The apple an Berry crumble was just served as if it had been thrown together. There was very little apple and very little crumble. There were some Berries in it but there was more red juice than Berries. I would not recommend this place for your Christmas. It is expensive for what is served. They certainly need to change the Chef.

The wheelhouse pub is really welcoming, great quality of food, the staff are friendly and the service of food is really quick. I would definitely recommend bringing your family down for a meal. The fish finger wrap with chips was a great choice .

Great friendly service, amazing food. Great service from the team especially Peter! Can’t fault this place, always worth parting with my money for some pub grub. Would definitely recommend :))

Recently attended for a large family meal and the hosts were able to accommodate all 15 of us at such short notice. Food arrived well presented and tastes great as always. Service always top tier. Although not my first trip, will definitely not be my last!

The pub where we celebrated my stepfather's birthday was an absolute gem! The service was not only professional but also incredibly warm – we felt like among friends. The food deserves separate applause – the flavors blossoming on the plates, like works of art, were an unforgettable delight for the palate. This place radiates positive energy, and the birthday atmosphere made the moments spent here memorable. Thank you for an unforgettable celebration!

Delicious food, kid-friendly menus and atmosphere, EXCELLENT service, and the Monday deals made the price so low. I would definitely come again if ever in the area. The Christmas Kids Meal was so hearty! And the 1£ kid meals can't be beat. Everything was clean and tidy. The attendants were sooooo kind and helpful! Top notch experience.

Had a fantastic morning and brilliant breakfast, went to go show some support and was not let down. Pete and his team have done a wonderful job with the stalls. The food was fantastic too. Let me know when the next one is on please

Awful sunday roast. Nothing on the plate was fresh, roast potatoes and peas were like bullets , meat was like rubber with lots of fat, veg was wet and soggy. It's cheap , but the above is the reason why. Visit at your own peril

Sorry to say that the food this visit was quite poor, it was cold and the quality has slipped. No one approached us to ask if the meal was satisfactory. The curry night is usually reasonable value for money but was very disappointing this time. I did ask the person who took the order to make sure that the food was hot as this has been a problem in the past. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Food was nice, service was poor. Served food, but we had to ask for cutlery then was given our dessert with no ice cream, again had to ask but nothing came! Eventually asked another server who came with one bowl of ice cream (it was 2 desserts!) It wasn't even busy in the place so very disappointing

My scrambled eggs were served on top of my toast today and the butter was served separately. Not sure how I was supposed to butter the toast which had scrambled eggs on top of them?! It tasted nice though, the tea was nice and hot and it was good value for money.

Definitely improved over the past few months. Food is really good value as are the drinks. The tables were nice and clean too. Hope they keep it up as this is my local. Nice space to sit outside in Summer too and very handy for Wollaton Park

Food has been wonderful every time we've come here! It usually arrives pretty quickly too and staff are nice and friendly. Had some amazing dessert nachos that I'm going to be craving again for the next several days. 😆

Quite disappointed to be honest, went for a meal for my mums birthday, table of 10 and 2 children. They brought out my child’s meal first he had a pizza and chips and when I say this pizza was burnt… it was black. Why would the server even bring that out and try to give it to a child? Sent it back and got brought another one, which was stone cold! Finally brought out a decent one to only discover you served us a Chicago town pizza and charged us £5 for it! I had the big sized chicken New Yorker and two of my chicken breasts didn’t have any bacon/cheese or sauce on them, dry as a bone! My brother, who is vegan, asked if the cheese was vegan in the meal he ordered to be told “I don’t know” she went to ask and came back out and said “it’s jackfruit” he knew that… he wanted to know what cheese it was and she scoffed and walked away.. quite an unpleasant experience to be honest.

Popped into the Wheelhouse for a few shandys last night, they was a good atmosphere around the pub mainly because sports was on the TVs, Which was enjoyable. I was greeted at the bar by Amelia, who was very pleasant and polite. Its always nice to be greeted with a smile. All in all i had a very pleasant evening. #7

Stopped for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. It has been many years since I've been in the pub and it is part of the Hungry Horse chain. Nice and clean, friendly service and reasonably priced food. Freshly prepared and tasty. 2 cleared plates. Ample car park. Recommended.

The wheelhouse, is a hungry horse franchise pub, the staff seemed a little busy and I would say they weren't in the most cheery mood. After finding a table, we had a look at the menu, I would say that the menu was last wiped when they were printed. The menu was full of choices and had a great variety, after much stipulation, I went for the Vimto burger, upon arrival the burger looked delicious, and smelled amazing. The burger itself was dry and didn't have much flavor, could have done with some sauce to top it off or the bacon could have been American sweet bacon to give it a bit of sweetness, I was expecting it to have something to do with Vimto, I guess it's only called Vimto due to the bun. The meat was quite dry and probably over cooked, it almost tasted like frozen meat. Other than that it came with a small portion of chips in a bucket. I would like to try the dirty fries next time as they look quite appealing.

First time ever visiting on 26/10/20 and it was lovely. The actual pub is lovely and really well decorated. The staff were lovely and friendly. We ordered a mixed grill and the burger, steak and wings combo. The food was perfect, and came out in really good timing. We would definitely visit again. In regards to covid we felt very safe while being there.

Christmas day menu Starter ok, main Course turkey nicely cooked, most vegetables were too hard to eat. Yorkshire puddings were like wet cardboard hard to eat, Disappointed, waitress wanted to take plate away before l could finish meal. Sweet nice cheese board great, all in all a bit disappointed

My companion and I had the vegan burgers, which were delicious and also very, very green! One half of the pub was hosting a retirement party, so the mood was jovial and upbeat. Most other times we've been it's been quiet, I recommend the vegetarian food. Can't vouch for the beers, having always to drive there, but you can't go wrong with beers, can you? Few wheels, though. Sorry spoke enthusiasts.

Came here as it had a good choice of gluten free options. Most of the things I actually liked came with gluten free bread which you had none! I had to sit and eat nothing while everyone else was eating. I have an allergy to gluten or I would have chosen something else. Not great.

Generally good food that my wife, daughter and I enjoyed. Except the egg with my gammon was hard. I did receive an apology and offer to replace it but the meal would have been cold.

Very reasonable pricing, but, food not really not up to par. The breakfast was very greasy, some things were burnt, some underdone. All OK, but just not very good. No mask wearing at all, could at least make a token effort for the staff walking around from table to table. Loads of reserved tables yet no one came to any of them during our hour or so in there, that looks like it needs better timetable management. Sorry but this was our first and last time to visit.

👍👍 Absolutely amazing! I went to have lunch on my graduation day with my friends. Food was very flavourful and cocktails were nice. Special dietary options are available and you always get 2-4-1 cocktails. Service was really friendly and approachable. Ambience and music is just cherry on top.
