Waiting 20 minutes just to be served at the bar! , staff everywhere one person serving at the bar … for goodness sake SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE should be the mantra .just terrible organisation of staff . Cues everywhere. NO BAR STAFF ! No -one in the carvery to serve . Just one staff for a queue of 20 people waiting , very poor service . This is not a one off, been here a few times ALWAYS the same . At the end of the meal went to the bar again , waited 15 minutes in the queue again (1 bar staff taking drinks and food orders ) had had enough .. walked out .

I thoroughly enjoyed the carvary experience, the food was hot, the meats well cooked & all at a very competitive price. The establishment is clean, well laid out and there was plenty of room. The staff were welcoming & attentive. Riverside Farm did a great job & we will definitely dine there again.

Decided that I couldn't be bothered to cook so came here for dinner. It was great! Carvery for less than Β£10. Hubby and (adult) daughter both had ice cream 🍦 πŸ˜‹ Service was good. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again.

Standard carvery serving pub, food was good. Breakfast buffet is on a only go once thing. Me I was happy with that, got given a small plate instead of standard but was still well filled up. Unlimited toast helped although the lack of marmalade is reflected in my score. A very very special mention to staff member Michelle, who was amazing at breakfast, and when I returned later in the evening was still working, clearly tired and exhausted but still offering her beautiful smile and customer service. 🎩 Take it off to you

Eggs was either over cooked or under cooked. The chicken was like rubber even when mentioned it to the server and was ignored. Complaint to the Chef that the eggs was like frisbees (overcooked) and he sent me back out a new egg (undercooked) felt like I was playing a game of tic for tac. Ordered a Burger with Bacon and Cheese and got in return a plain burger was served. Chef was heard shouting, the servers/waiters didn't smile or even appear to care for the service. Overall rating is I will never come back here again with my family. We even had to seat ourselves after waiting 5-10mins and had to go looking/searching for condiments due to staff being "busy" Says I purchased a extra Yorkshire pudding on my receipt that I never recieved or ordered. This place this evening was shambles, servers talk down to the customers when they raise actions regarding they're service/food. Not a safe place to eat.

Absolutely shocking experience this morning 18.03.2022 came in for breakfast served by possibly the rudest women I've ever met we have eaten at a lot of farmhouse inns and this was by far the worst! How can a company not accommodate children is beyond me no children's option for breakfast why? The food was awful everything was running out what was left was dry and not overly warm! Most farmhouse inns allow u too make your own toast not this place I would advice you to order a week in advance if you want it with breakfast. The entire experience was awful will not be back

Carvery excellent.food hot.taste delicious. Staff on entry exceptional, counter staff polite and helpful, quick and pleasant service! My only criticism was the dessert lack of choice. Unfortunately we have been before and we're given the same experience. But the way it was served can only be described as a very poor McDonald's attempt to what could and should have been a good night out with friends and family. Thank you Riverside could and should have 5 stars but the dessert let you down badly

Went in for a roast dinner on Saturday night and it was great! We arrived and was seated promtly but weren't told that it was not table service so.. this area can be improved. The process to get your roast dinner was simple enough- you purchase the ticket then go up to the calvary to get your really (VERY) thinly sliced meats then go get your veg. We got the "small" sized plate but honestly once you load it up with all those vegetables, it's actually not small anymore. I especially enjoyed the special fried potato, that was really nice. However, the stuffing tasted like what my asian mum makes and she buys them straight out of tesco pre-made so that wasn't great. Overall, a great roast dinner that's not served on a sunday.

Changing review as just come for breaky. Ordered on app food come before drinks. After 20 min had to go ask for the drinks. Just to be met with staff who have no idea how to do anything. Think about getting new management the place is a shambles Check out the pics of food posted. Looks like been left under heat lamp in kitchen for hours.... or even re heated in microwave.... Look at the video of toast one come out as bread the other come out as coal Never ever will I come again. Not cuz food so much but the staff

Ordered, standard scampi, going back for carvery....looked lovely.... I've been back for the carvery a few times now, it is very good, lot's of choice. You pay a little more on a Sunday, but they are still serving carvery weekdays! More recently, breakfast buffet, yum! Don't stock up too much. The eggs are round the corner! Seems like the same staff doing a fab job, more staff needed on the bar. Very approacheable staff & accommodating. Plenty of parking available, also disabled spaces right outfront

All lovely, but whilst me and friend was getting our carvery. The man serving the meat came round and started painting the side next to the food. Totally put me off!! (Shows the man and also the paint where he’s patched it up) next to food!!

Greeted as soon as I came in, a nice looking building. I used the app to order and the service was fast, and I didn't need to queue for the bar. The meats available here were delicious. They were cooked really well and carved perfectly so they were really tender, but still really tasty. The veg and gravy was nice, and the utensil they have for the condiments is really handy. I was greedy on this occasion as the atmosphere was quite nice and I felt comfy and welcome to stay a bit longer. The desert was really nice, but I decided to take a slice of cake (equivalent to maybe 4 slices of cake) home with me as they advertise a "cake away". I incorrectly ordered the toffee fudge cake as opposed to the chocolate fudge cake, and I was sceptical about its quality, freshness, and taste. This was probably one of the nicest cakes I've ever had. Moist, tasty, and a more than ample serving. The staff on shift were really nice, gave off a warm, helpful vibe and seemed to take pride in their jobs. Really refreshing to see this kind of eatery being done well and I will definitely visit again when in the area. Thanks for a lovely time.

This is one of the best carveys I have ever been too. Not only is the food exceptional, but the price was so cheap. Highly recommended

Food was actually really nice & came out quick. Service was friendly, didn’t have the carvery due to previous bad experience(s!) at Kings Mill farm, I know it’s a different establishment within the same chain. Anyway had the sweet chilli chicken and halloumi burger. Perfectly acceptable. Friend had the fish and chips and it didn’t look great but he said it tasted better than it looked. Service really friendly, attentive, cheery and genuine from all staff members that we came across. Drinks were expensive (as they are in green kings) but still nice. Puddings are where it’s at and I love the 3 scoops of ice cream of the most amazing flavours / toppings going. Look forward to going back!

Went at 2.30 on a week day. Most of the restaurant was empty but was seated furthest away from the carvery as they could find. Took forever to get served. There was only 2 veggie options. Pie or pie. The carvery was lovely though. Plenty of choice of vegetables and the goose fat roasties were tasty. Would go back again.

From Starr to finish this experience was not good. Ordered a pint of dark fruits cider from the bar when ordering food. It was served flat. When pointed out got a tut and then told not sure if anyone knew how to change the gas. From there the experience got progressively worse. Ordered food, went to serving area, no one there. Bar staff bellowed at kitchen staff for us to hear, oh ffs a customer again! Maybe joking but come on guys do it out of customer earshot. The food was rank. 3 carvery dinners Ordered, none of us could say anything good about the food apart from the carrots. Meat was gristly, mash was solid, easily used to put up tiles. Food was either swimming in grease, rock hard or cold. It was barely palatable. When complained the staff were rude, lady actually rolled her eyes at us when we stated food not good. So flat drinks, rude staff and poor quality food. My advice is swerve this one!

Great food, very friendly and helpful staff. Make sure you have a booking and arrive on time! We booked ahead, arrived at 3pm and the place was queuing out the door with people being turned away. Once we figured out that we had to go to the bar to get our carvery tickets, we queued up at 3:20pm and it took us 40 minutes to get our food and back to our table. All the food was great, but would've liked a bit more meat if at all possible.

Lovely food to be fair. However, my partner told me that the ladies toilets were disgusting. The men's were fine. The price of beer is very high, but that maybe the norm these days, I don't go out very often, but over 4 quid for a pint of lager seems a little excessive. One, occasionally two bar staff just isn't enough. There was more staff taking out the food, whilst queues at the bar were large. Would we go here again? Sorry but no. Very disappointing on the whole.

Delicious carvery served by Elon. Beef was perfectly carved and very tender. Wide veg choice. Selected cakes to take away (too full to eat in but they looked so amazing). Thank you to Jo for helping me choose. Would definitely visit again.

Wow. Just had the most amazing carvery , all the veg was well cooked, super tasty, piping hot and freshly made. The gravy was perfect too. I would highly recommend this gem of a restaurant if you want the best carvery in Nottingham at a very reasonable price.

The beef lasagne was nice enough, nothing overly special. Usually have a carvery, thought I would try something different. Next time shall stick to the carvery which is usually very good. Always save room for a pudding. They are very reasonably priced and biblical in portion sizes. While they come with a notice that informs you of the calorie count, they don't mention that sustained eating might lead to a diabetic coma resulting in a smile that will take any half competent mortician a week to remove. The cake here is not a lie.

Went for a Sunday carvery. It was busy and we had booked in advance, this is always the wisest option as when we arrived a notice was on the door saying no walk in available. Once seated we was able to view the menu and order via the app. This was easy to do and quicker. Once paid we went up to the carvery and showed our receipt and then proceeded to get our meal. There was 3 meats to choose from. 4 different sorts of potato and many vegetables. Also gravy and sauces. You can have as much veg and potatoes as you want but can only go up once. It was a lovely meal and I would happily visit again.

An excellent friendly welcome was the start of a great experience. The food available was limited to the carvery selection, but as this was our intended preference it wasn't a problem. The food for selection was well prepared and presented. The staff member serving the meat was a very friendly and efficient team member. The atmosphere was relaxed with the background music a selection of styles that was not played too loudly so as to allow conversation to comfortably take place. Highly recommend a visit.
