Very nice food, cooked fresh and hot. Served in good time and very nice welcoming staff. Thank you, we'll definitely be back.

A generous three stars as the meal was poor. The steak was ordered medium rare more like medium well done. Had obviously been sat for a while under a heat lamp as was overdone and dried out. Gave a three as usually fine. Some one else was paying so didn't send it back. Good selection of beers as usual.

Someone had urinated on the seat (I would like to think a young one and not an adult) we washed our hands and told the bar staff and my friend and i relocated to another table. Later someone else was sitting there. I would of thought the staff would of cleaned or at least cordoned off that table till a deep clean could of been made. Big place not very busy, ample staff not doing much. Food was awful. Grilled Halloumi that I do not think had ever even seen a grill. The few times I have been here can't say I have rated it. Great for families though. Not for me.

I found the meal to be grisley this time, last time i had lunch i had a great mixed grill, this time it was awful, i also had a hair on my plate which is a big turn off. I mentioned this at the end of the meal and the staff were so uninterested!! We thought we had found a lovely restaurant to go to on a regular basis but now we will not bother again.

This has to be one of the best Greene Kings I've been to and I've been to lots working all over the country. The building is really nice, very clean and the staff were all happy and professional. The food was really good for pub food, I was impressed and definitely would come back again next time I'm working there πŸ‘πŸ»

It's a really lovely restaurant near Attenborough lake. My wife had the squid and the Hunters Chicken. I had the BBQ jack meal. The order was quick to make, I doubled up for only two pounds. The burger was beef patty with pulled beef in BBQ sauce with Monterey chicken. It contained fries, coleslaw and onion rings on side. The squid was perfectly cooked with tartar sauce. The hunters Chicken was very good and very tender and recommended. My wife could not finish the chips. Big portion. Expensive compared to other pub restaurants but the quality is there.

Hi. The meals, 3 people, were mostly very nice, however each of the side salads were well past their best. The peppers were 'glassy' as if stored in too low a temperature and some of the leaves were slimy dark green, which spoilt the rest. Not sure I'd recommend anyone else to have a meal with a salad at this pub.

A party of 50 guests shared a delicious, freshly prepared finger buffet with fabulous mini jacket potatoes, hot chips and deliciously fresh assorted bread sandwiches with plenty of filling etc etc. Great experience. Would recommend to all.

Tried three different real ales on latest visit. The pint of Nottingham EPA was fairly poor but just about drinkable. Then tried Tribute, which was completely off and tasted like vinegar. After a long wait it was eventually grudgingly conceded that they would swap the Tribute for something else, but the something else turned out to be equally disappointing to the initial EPA. Left in order to find a decent pint elsewhere and won't be returning unless the standard of their real ales improves substantially.

We've been to this food pub a few times, its comfortable and reasonably priced. The food has always been good and as a pub it offers a good range of drink and food we sat outside and it was reasonably busy. The food was well presented, cooked and tasted exactly as expected. It was a great price for the two of us and the service was friendly and efficient . The location is reasonable opposite a lot of shopping venues. and near a nature reserve. parking is easy to access and most of the disabled parking is located near the rear of the carpark around from the side which is probably what is the front of the pub. Even though the pub is technically located on the main road for where most of their outdoor tables and play area are, the hedges minimalise traffic noise fairly well. i`d recommend this pub

The staff sorted a table for 12 last minute, for food and drinks. The area was clean and spacious. The food was served in good time and all meals were served together as much as possible. The food was presented well, good portion sizes no complaints, we asked for extra bits during the meal and this was no problem and came in a timely manner to complement our meals. The staff were great all round. Management, bar staff and table waiters and waitresses. Big shout out to Hugh he was brilliant nothing was too much trouble he was friendly, attentive, professional and personal at the same time.

I always think Greene Kings are amazing. Yeah they’re a chain and it’s expensive for a pub but the food is so good.

Had a lovely evening, had a mix grill, wasn't too keen on sausages has they had rosemary in them, personal choice I surpose. Apart from that staff were polite and did their job well.

Popular for dining and socialising on a Sunday afternoon. I had a Sunday roast dinner - a plate of roast beef, slightly undercooked and cool green vegetables all dominated by a large Yorkshire pudding the whole served barely warm enough. The staff were helpful and efficient but my nearly Β£14 single plate of uninspiring food left me feeling underwhelmed by the visit.

Nice to be looked after but sometimes it can be over the top. Someone kept checking on the table every few minutes and it felt too much . Conversation and eating our meal was constantly interrupted. Then we were asked if everything was finished with when we were clearly still eating . Asked if we needed more drinks when there were 3 full glasses of drink on table. It was just a little over the top on this occasion, however nice evening spent and food was good .

Family of 9 for Sunday lunch. Reduced menu, was it because of the function, if so not informed on booking. Meals not up to normal standard. Childs sausages were almost burnt. The yorkshire puddings were dry. Best part on my beef dinner was the gravy.

I only went in for a beer but it's obviously popular. Very nice with plenty of seating. A DJ was there at one end with people dancing. Big parking lot too.

Lovely pub, but the lunch menu quality is really poor, why should we pay Β£5.80 for a tiny chicken skewer and a tired side salad. Chicken & bacon ciabatta, quarter of a cremated chicken breast with bacon! It’s just not acceptable, this is simple food served as cheap as possible.

I have been to the Cornmill on many occasions, and the food is really good. I had a reservation booked for boxing day, and I have been looking forward to the set menu, but unfortunately, the food that was presented to me was not very good. The mushroom starter that I had was nice, but the garlic bread served with it was a bit chewy. The main course I had was the beyond burger with chips and onion rings, and to be honest on this occasion, McDonald's would have been better, and the cheese cake desert was soggy. Unless I get a reply from the Cornmill, I am afraid they have lost my future custom.

A great pub. We went several times while in the area. The kitchen is solid across the board but in particular they seem to excel at steak. The four of us (two adults and two small children) especially enjoyed the Tomahawk sharer.

Two families with children arrived on a busy Saturday evening with no prior reservation. As there were no table immediately available for the 6 of us, they first sat us on a table of 4 which was fair as the children wanted to play in the outdoor play area. They then moved us to larger table for 6. Very upfront with their communication that they needed the table back by 8 as it was reserved by others. 2 hours were enough for us for a meal and couple of drinks. The food was great and fairly priced for the quality. Thank you for taking care of us as we had a good time and will be returning again (with a reservation!).

Some food dishes were unavailable, but I can appreciate shortages happen. Not too crowded when we were in, bar staff were friendly but took a while to serve us. Our food was excellent, a little more expensive than other pubs but the portions were very good size and all of us left happy. Marked down one star because bar service should of been quicker, but won't put us off coming back again.

Great pub.. Dropped by on my birthday (not quite knowing what to expect?) but it was lovely! Nice atmosphere & ambiance. Service was really good - all staff welcoming & polite. Food was delicious (steak cooked to perfectionπŸ‘ŒπŸΎ). Overall a very nice establishment - would definitely recommend and will absolutely be a returning customer 🫢🏾
