I haven't been for a time as the last time I went, it just wasn't as it used to be. This trip, however, was wonderful. I went with my favourite (pork medallions) and a few sides, and the quality, flavour and quantity of the food was phenomenal. The price for what you get is more than reasonable for the experience and flavours. The service was delightful and it made the time spent there excellent. I'll be heading back soon to try some other delectable dishes. My only minor gripe is that the roasted garlic bulb has been taken off the menu, which was a favourite of mine, but, that just gives more reason to try new things.

First and also my last time at this restaurant. The soup was awful. Dirty glass. The main course I ate (Chicken Chasseur that's in the photo) nothing special in terms of flavor (the beans were undercooked). Little space between tables. Too expensive for the poor quality of food served.

I really loved my visit here in this lovely restaurant. the food is good value for money and Baz who works here is really friendly and helpful in selecting a good wine for me. She's an excellent waitress. All good in this restaurant. Definitely worth a pop in of you are feeling hungry in the city of Nottingham

Unfortunately gone downhill. Being close to Christmas is not an excuse to let things slip. Paté starter was supermarket quality. Duck leg main was dry and barely warm. Everyone deserves a second chance however there are over 200 other restaurants in Nottingham who love what they do and deserve your hard earned a lot more. Can't understand how this once fabulous restaurant has suddenly become very chain like, serving passsionless and disappointing food.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was nice and simple. The atmosphere was quite. The food was so nice. My favourite was the sticky toffee pudding. Its to die for, if you go for anything, go for that!

First ate lunch here in 2005. It was fab then as it was recently. The food was amazing and a great choice for a lunch 3 course. £20. I give 4 starts, but I'd say 4.5 as it was warm, but not HOT. But delicious. The chocolate mousse was excellent. My guests also thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We will return.

Came here today for lunch for my birthday.I have been quite a few times in the past and really enjoyed my meal. Although today I was very disappointed as it seems things on the menu had changed. Before the chorizo was individual little sausages today they were slices with lots of fatty bits . They didn’t taste pleasant. I decided to go for the beef bourguignon and at nearly £17 I was so disappointed 3 pieces of tough beef a lump of mash potato and a hard roasted carrot on top. I was gutted as I was really looking forward to a nice meal . I will not be returning any time soon I think the standards have dropped massively

We went as a group of 4 recently for Fathers day. The tables were well spaced and surroundings comfortable. We had been many times over the years and have enjoyed our experiences. Last Sunday was not up to par with our past visits. Our Calamari starters (we all had this) were very dissimilar in presentation and 2 even had component's missing which was corrected on request, attention to detail at the pass would have easily sorted this out. Two of our party had a beef roast dinner. The beef looked great but could not be cut and was too tough to chew and the majority was left uneaten on the plate by both dinners. I mentioned this to the waiter and he replied "you should have said something earlier and I could have sorted it out" and he swiftly disappeared. I guess I should have said something but like many it is not our way. I would have expected a "sorry" or "I will tell the chef" or any sort of interaction but there was none. If we had been asked "a few minutes into the meal" is everything ok we would definitely have said but were never asked. Bistro Pierre is not a bad place to dine but this recent visit and the lack of customer focus does not encourage me to return.

One of the must-visit restaurants in Nottingham! Exceptionally tasty menu, great atmosphere, very friendly and kind staff. Many options to satisfy everyone, fair prices and awesome menu deals with 2,3 or 6 courses! Their signature beef is a must but everything tasted wonderful. Highly recommended!

A wonderful break from the pub fare. After amicably sorting out a problem with our reservation, we had a wonderful meal. The menu is classic French bistro and ample. Highlights were the chicken liver parfait and the sticky toffee pudding. Reasonably wine list. Service was top notch, attentive, professional and well timed.

2022-11-02 dinner 3 course set dinner £23 (before 10% svc) Vegetable soup - Good. A nice variety of textures. Baguette was floury and some pieces were stale Hake bisque - Excellent flavor in the sauce, though it had some small chips of shellfish shells. Fillet was unremarkable. The roast baby potatoes were nice, but didn't complement well. Sticky toffee pudding - Excellent flavor. Too little ice cream, while the pudding portion was generous The set came with a choice of drink. The cuvee rose was delicious and semi sweet

Amazing deal of 2 courses for 20 with wine or beer. Food was really delicious but you do get what you pay for. Unfortunately our desserts were delayed, but it didn’t ruin it. Would happily return for a date night, but might be worth trying a more expensive dish.

Visited today with my sister and my uncle. We hadn’t pre booked but they managed to get us in a bit later in the afternoon. We did a bit of shopping and went back. The food was lovely, not all of us had the set menu and we were all impressed with the food we were served. The calamari was so tasty! The service was great 👍. I had a side order of dauphinoise potatoes, unfortunately they were extremely salty so I dropped a star for this. All in all, we had a really lovely time. Thank you

In hindsight, a reservation at 14:00 on a Friday was an inspired choice. The restaurant was absolutely throbbing on arrival but soon emptied, leaving us with for a relaxed lunch. We both ate from the "Three courses for £20.95, plus a pint/glass of wine for £3.50" menu: Starter - Calamari with garlic aioli. Main - Boeuf Bourguignon Dessert - Crème Brûlée (obviously!) All great flavours. The starter and dessert were up there with the best, the main was a lovely cuddle of comfort food. Pleasant, characterful service. This wouldn't have been my choice for lunch, but I'm delighted we came, and will do so again.

Our favourite restaurant. We were served throughout the evening by the manageress, Princess, herself. She went the extra mile for us, even took the time to take family photos throughout our celebration and really made it very special for us. Thank you, Princess ! The food was fabulous, and always is everytime we go. Lovely French ambience ...the only pity is that no staff speaks French at all - it is after all a French restaurant and I think it would have just added that final French touch and atmosphere. But we will certainly be back.

I arrived to a full and bustling restaurant at dinner time without a booking. The maître d' was so charming by welcoming me anyway and immediately cleared a table for me. This was the beginning of a truly memorable experience. The waitrons were busy but friendly which just added to the atmosphere. The meal was superbly delicious. Thank-you Chef! Will definitely be back.

A truly French atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Friendly staff, fantastic choice, and all food freshly cooked. On street parking only. A great end to my sons graduation day! You will not be disappointed.

Had a great meal celebrating our daughters graduation, food was amazing! I had the mushrooms to start, beef bourguignon then creme brulee. All dishes were perfection Service was great and the wine was well recommended. Nice atmosphere, no complaints from all of us

Craving for some good food, I been very surprised to find this central bistro. The place was crowded and I recommend you to book a table before you are at their door. The staff was very friendly and careful arranging the table after each meal, asking you for more drinks, I was very impressed of them. The food was good, the flavours were spot on, the only negative remark is that the beef was overcooked, even for a slow cooked dish, was kind of mushy weird texture here and there. The sorbet was fantastic and I do recommend you to go for it.
