Stay away! Stay safe! I gave them a star because I could not take 5 back... yes, that terrible. The seafood have a terrible smell, the calamari are very salty, soggy, cold and overcooked, they are so chewy that I can't eat them....totaly dissapointing. The pasta is overcooked, it is terribleto eat it, I feel like a eat a mushy porridge, not pasta.... lukewarm and the mussels are smelling so bad.... very very dissapointing for the price that I paid... one overcooked shrimp........ The pizza is terrible small, frozen cold and they didn't even slice it, impossible to slice it with wooden cutlery. Terrrible for £46.99 Stay away!!!

The food was tasty, service was great, staff were very polite..though it was a little overpriced for the small portion sizez!!...and i don't think there should be an "optionalial service charge" added to your bill without your knowledge.. Not impressed with this then you pay Vat on top of the lot.. Other than that quite a nice place.

The stuff was very lovely, me and my friend came in on a very busy night without a reservation and they still managed to find us a lovely table with minimal wait. The food was amazing, my friend had the Bolognese and the past was so smooth, I had the diavola pizza which was amazing and spicy. The cocktails were just perfect. But what made the night perfect was how amazing the stuff was.

Went to Piccolino for a date night. Its a lovely restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere. It's perhaps a little more expensive than some other restaurants, but when you try the food you understand why. Food was absolutely amazing, my partner had lasagne, she said it was the best she'd had in years. I had rib eye, it was fantastic quality and perfectly cooked. Also the waiting staff were very good, there when you need them and not when you don't. Will definitely return

To call this Italian food would be disrespectful to all Italians. Tastes like something you would buy from Sainsbury's. For the price, I would expect much better quality and flavours.

Authentic great Italian food served by Italians. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Prices are slightly higher but this is the best way to enjoy Italy without travelling during covid. Would return.

Visited here with my partner and though we didn't have a reservation we managed to get a seat, so would recommend booking a table in advance. The food is just lovely and can't be faulted. They have an extensive wine selection and the servers are able to help with wine and food pairing. We will definitely be coming again.

Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The food was mixed; our starters were great, and my girlfriend’s main was excellent (salmon tagliatelle) but my seafood pasta was pretty bad. Tasted mainly of salt water, the seafood itself was really chewy and flavourless, and the sauce was bland. However, I think this was probably a one-off as the other reviews here look great.

I just had the best pasta ever!! I had Paccheri All'Arrabbiata and it was decilious! The sauce was just the right level of spice with the chilli, garlic amd tomato pasta sauce. I really recommend this, especially if your vegetarian. The waiter, Daniel, was very welcoming, polite and attentive. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

I was dining here to celebrate an anniversary with my partner. We were served by Paolo who really went above and beyond to make our evening special. Super friendly and professional service. The food we had was delicious. My partner had a steak and I had a truffle pasta, both were cooked to perfection! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Nottingham.

Tasty food and generous portions. The only annoyance was that our server had a bit of an attitude. But a great place nonetheless.

Went here for dinner, food tasted amazing. I feel the ambience is really beautiful and cozy. Food is a bit on the expensive side and staff is friendly and welcoming. Had zucchini fritti as a starter. Ordered piccante pizza and a main of mushroom, gnocchi and chicken. However I received something else with spaghetti as main and when I asked that this is not what I ordered, they denied to change it (i have never seen ANY restaurant doing this)... So really disappointed ☹️. I liked the other dish but probably will think about visiting again.

Friendly staff but slow service especially for getting more drinks or for the bill. We asked for water only to find we were charged £11 for the 2 bottles, no one had stated they were not free. Food was very disappointing. My fococcia was hard, lasagne was not tasty, messy presentation, watery, had 2 types of sauce with the additional sauce on the dish being a different colour, tasting and looking like a different pasta sauce entirely. Dessert was slightly better but the biscuit added was rock solid unable to be eaten. Prices were high for what was given. The friends with benefits cocktail was nice though slightly overpowered by the large amount of mint decorating it.

We went for a family meal, first time in Piccolino. I felt very welcomed by the staff who did exceptionally great service. The lunch menu is simple and great, the main manu is a bit too much of everything but on the other side everyone can find something for themselves. It's a bit more expensive than in other similar places. Great choice of drinks and wine however one of the waitress couldn't help with wine choice. We had calzone and anatra all'arancia. Calzone was very good and tasty, the duck in orange sauce was OK. I expected more flavour as for Italian dish. For dessert we got ice cream and chocolate-hazelnut cheesecake. If you're looking for a new flavour experience, definitely try blackcurrant and bilberry ice cream or the cheesecake. Worth every bite! The restaurant is cosy and elegant however when fully booked it's really loud and you can't hear your companions. The staff were absolutely amazing and overall experience was good.

Walked in hopeful for a table (Sat night)...and the reception staff were brilliant...let us wait for a table that was only 1/2 hour wait. Mentioned it was our daughters birthday and a complimentary glass of fizz appeared for the three of us. BRILLIANT. Our table was soon ready and the waitress serving us was amazing, lovely, chatty and couldn't do enough for us. At the end made sure our daughter had a complimentary sweet with a candle in it and sang happy birthday to her. Made for an amazing visit...thank you Piccolino!

2022-12-05 dinner We were quite surprised that all of the food - including the bread starter - was served together, despite specifying that we'd be sharing the dishes. This meant we couldn't finish the pasta/pizza before they got cold. Piccante pizza £15 - Crust had great texture. Overall decent. Ravioli Granchio £18 - Mediocre. Bread £6 - Excellent. Pesto was awesome. However, their olive oil and vinegar are poor

Over the top customer service and amazing food especially the steak and the desserts. Wide selection of Italian wines. Steak is served with added vegetables including potatos on a separate plate.

We got amazing service. Staff are great. Food was delicious, the drinks were good overall we had an amazing time. Restaurant really beautiful and when hot you can sit outside. Platter starter is a must. Everything great (a little more on the pricey side) but worth it

A group of 7 of us went on Saturday night and had a wonderful time The service was excellent , waiters were there when we needed them ,polite, friendly and funny. The food was lovely, we didn’t have to wait long for any of the courses and they even provided take away tubs for the extra orders of delicious chocolate truffles that we all decided to take home We all had fantastic evening

Very disappointing ! I am more than happy to pay these sort of prices if the food and service was worth it. Extremely abrupt staff I had Risotto Frutti Mare (basically risotto which to be fair was ok) however what I thought was mussels was just the shells filled with risotto and the tiniest mussel in just three out 5 I had. My partner had Ravioli Granchio very overrated ..bland and watery didn’t taste of anything. Someone else in our party had some sort of pasta/tomato type dish.. looked like it had come out Of a packet. Even when I was paying the bill the member of staff was still very abrupt.. in fact I don’t even think I got a thank you and certainly wasnt service with a smile. We spent approximately £580 and I believe it wasn’t worth anything like it. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

If you want real and authentic Italian food, this is it (as verified my Italian friend)! There’s plenty of Piccolino branches in the UK so you might be surprised to find it’s near your home too. It may be pricey at first glance, but you see why when tasting the food; all the fresh ingredients and cleverly picked out. This spot is great for a treat! The decoration was outdated but it still gives a European feel with the photographs hanging on the walls. There’s plenty of tables to seat a lot of people. Although it’s best to book a reservation just in case you get unlucky. If I had to nit-pick something about the restaurant, I wish they had more vegetarian options. As a vegetarian, I had limited options compared to other restaurants but overall this was a must-eat place.

I have been looking for an authentic Italian restaurant, in Nottingham, for a while now, however been always disappointed. That is not the case for Piccolino in Nottingham. We’ve been warmly welcomed at the entrance. Service has been beautiful and entertaining, thanks to Daniel. Wonderful soul must say. Daniel has ensured everything went smooth and kept warming us with a smile and a nice chat, whether it was in Italian or English. Ambiance was lovely, very busy but very nice. I had pizza Capricciosa, which I must say, was delicious. My husband had spaghetti ai frutti di mare and you could tell it was fresh and super tasty. We finished the night with tiramisù and been surprised with a beautiful quote as well, as we were celebrating our anniversary, must say, I can’t wait for the next time!! And Daniel, thank you again, it’s been fantastic meeting you! And to everyone else with whom we interacted!
