We
recently
chanced
a
visit
as
walk-ins
for
lunch
having
passed
the
front
doors
many
times.
A
hidden
gem.
We
were
kindly
greeted
and
showed
to
the
dining
room,
our
waiter
was
friendly
yet
professional
and
properly
trained
(served
from
left
etc).
Ambience
wasn't
pretenious
and
you
could
have
a
nice
conversation
and
hear
each
other,
but
not
be
overheard.
This
is
great
quality
british
cooking
that
will
not
leave
you
dissappointed.
Looking
at
photos
won't
ever
do
the
taste
justice.
Well
balanced,
traditional,
well
prepared
and
clearly
crafted
and
cooked
by
a
well
trained
chef
meant
even
though
there
are
only
a
handful
of
options
still
left
us
agonising
which
to
have.
Wine
was
really
fairly
priced
and
served
at
the
right
temperature
in
really
fine
glasses,
quite
a
treat.
We've
been
to
all
the
far
more
expensive
dining
options
in
and
around
Nottingham,
and
this
offers
exceptional
value
for
money
(Perkins
being
a
close
second),
realistically
this
is
only
a
few
pounds
more
than
a
chain
restaurant
in
town!
A
final
point,
I
left
my
bag
in
the
dining
hall
and
the
waiter
made
the
effort
to
come
running
after
me
well
after
we
had
left
to
return
it,
I
think
that
gesture
alone
speaks
volumes
for
the
establishment.
