Brilliant food and service. The portions were very big. Came for a graduation dinner and they treated us to a special dessert for the grad. Will definitely come back.

Absolutely amazing! It isn't normally somewhere within my price range as it is a little on the expensive side, but with the 50% off scheme I couldn't pass up on the chance to visit and I'm so glad I did! Excellent allergen advice on the menu, every dish is marked with allergens contained which made it super easy to order. The service was perfect, food was perfect and the atmosphere was perfect. I will definitely be saving up to visit again in the future! The butter chicken and paneer starter are unreal 😍

The ambience was beautiful, in fact I'd say the cover photo on here doesn't do it justice. The service was excellent -, genuine recommendations on sides to help us not over order for a start! Polite, professional and warm. The food was enjoyed by everyone, mostly meat eaters plus me, one vegan. As food is marked as vegetarian and/or containing dairy, I was able to pick items veggie and no dairy and then check if they were vegan which they were - based on this, there's a reasonable amount of choice. When naans were ordered for the table and I said I don't have that as it contains dairy, the waiter very politely and kindly suggested to the group to swap one of our naan portions for roti so I could have some. Everything was just wonderful, I would go back in a flash. I wish I'd taken photos... but I did take a video of the toilet, you'll see why if you watch it! Never seen this feature before hahaha!

My family came up from London, we popped into this resturant, with a four year old, whom they cooked grilled chicken, rice and veg, our food was delicious. They were so accommodating. The staff so lovely and professional.thank you all for a lovely relaxing evening.

This was work's Christmas dinner's get together. Been to MemSaab before. I love the fact that they catered alternative main meal for me as Asian food is too spicy for me, & my steak 🥩 was cooked to my perfection 👌🏼 Enjoyed my food very much 😋🍽️ Can't fault the service of the staff👍🏼👍🏼

Beautiful restaurant with a wonderful customer service. The food was really good. The restaurant decor was superb. I, unfortunately did not take much pictures while at the venue. If you are looking for some good Indian food, this is a good place to try.

The staffs were friendly and attentive, the restaurant looks beautiful inside. We have the mixed starter and it was really delicious. Our mains were lovely too. Can't wait to be back and try our more dishes.

Went on 13-8-22 slightly dated appearance and some unusual taste in their style? Would be greatly improved if they stick to the path and not pretending to be "fancy" good service and average prices

This was probably my second or third time to have dinner in this place and just like always the dishes served tasted great and the service was very convenient and friendly. I made an online reservation and then made a slight change on it and all was properly handled. The staff was helpful and gave recommendations on what and how much to order so we ended up with good tasty choices and no leftovers. The place offers halal food and the staff was clear in confirming this fact and highlighting one menu item only that wasn’t. So if you are looking for this type of food then this place is a good choice. Expect to pay around 30 pounds per person for a satisfactory meal.

I went there recently and when I walked in I was hit by an Indian atmosphere and a smell of expensive perfume. When we sat down the menus were so fancy and nice. The service was really good and Quick. Overall it was a solid 9/10

Brilliant food and service as always. It has been a restaurant that I kept recommending to friends. It has the right level of customer service and food is authentic to a level that no other Indian restaurant can match. I was lucky to find this place!

Not quite lived up to its reputation but a pleasant experience. The staff is nice and even for a mid week early eve the restaurant was nearly full (restaurant week). The food was good quality. Pre-starters (poppadoms & chutneys) were tasty as were starters (paneer and aloo bahaji, reshmi kebab) but the portions of the latter were tiny. They came together with the mains which is not my preference. The mains (zaika gosht and lamb rogan fosh) were run of the mill, however, the lamb in zaika gosht was slightly dry. I was full and pleased after the meal but I was expecting more from "Indian fine dining". There are better Indian restaurants in Nottingham for slightly lower prices.

Visiting Nottingham and searched Trip Advisor for somewhere to eat. The food was amazing. The Kerman naan was the lightest tastiest naan I have ever eaten. The staff were attentive but not obtrusive. Had a chat with the owner on her way out. Such a lovely person. If you are visiting Nottingham, you will not be disappointed if you visit

Good: Friendly staff generally. Good quality ingredients. Very clean toilets. Responsive management. Could be better: Staff could be more proactively attentive. Lack of continuity in service (customers who came in after us had their orders taken before us, and seemed to be given a different level of service). Chairs could do with a professional clean. Service charge shouldn't be automatically added to the bill. For the price paid I think the above comments are fair. Overall it's worth a visit, and I'd to thank the manager for the complimentary champagne after discussing our experience 🍾

Went for husband’s birthday. Travelling through Nottingham, and had read really good reviews about this place. Arrived on a Saturday and the restaurant was really busy, which was a good sign for us! Food and service did not disappoint. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. Food was one of the best Indian cuisines we have ever eaten! The garlic chilli dish is a must! As a vegetarian, there were many options and portion sizes were generous. And to top it off, the staff brought out a cheesecake with a candle for the husband, which was unexpected but really appreciated! We had a great time and would definitely recommend this place to others. Only saddened by the fact it’s not closer to home but if we are ever passing by the area again, we would definitely visit again!

The manager along with the staff looked after us always checking if we are okay etc. Food was delicious, atmosphere was lovely I appreciate a restaurant without loud music on the background where you can have a conversation. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Make sure you try lamb chops.

Lovely food, very friendly staff against good prices! For the kids they even make chicken korma (was not on the menue). Our son loved it!

Really good wholesome Indian food. The menu is simple with a limited number of options but they are the most popular options that anyone would want. Food was really good and service very swift as well. Good choice of drinks. I'd go back again and again. Highly recommended

Very nice place to have lunch or dinner. However we were there for the celebration of wedding party. It was a three course meal & it was fantastic. Staff are very helpful & ready to serve anytime. Thank you V much!

Good quality food but incredibly expensive. When did we reach that point in life that two curries with rice and two glasses of wine costs £70? £9 for a glass of wine? Come on. Daylight robbery In Nottingham as well, we’re not even in London. Maybe if they dropped their insane prices they would get more repeat customers

Delicious food, a wide range of flavours and dishes to choose from. The goan fish curry was especially good as the fish was so soft and cooked perfectly. The staff are attentive and helpful.

What an incredible night we had at Memsaab. 34 of us- excellent meal and impeccable service in a beautiful restaurant. I would definitely recommend and I wish I lived in Nottingham to go back sooner. What a great choice! Thanks to AA Gill. He knew his stuff!

Very rich deep-flavored curry. The naan was amazingly soft and delicious. The cook there has superb technique on fried rice, keeping the dish dry, you would not find a drop of oil in that rice. Also prices for the wine are reasonable.

When I see a Michelin guide restaurant I expect much more to be honest! A nice Indian restaurant but only that!! I would reconsider putting it in Michelin restaurants.

One of the best Indian restaurant in Nottingham. Impressed with the quality of food and service. Lovely interior and verity of Indian dishes. Waiters were helpful with making recommendations. But having said that, the menu rates are little over priced and above to that the service charge being added to the bill 10%, should be optional as most restaurants are or the menu prices should be less.

Excellent food. The ostrich in particular was very tender. Superb service after I spilled lassi over the table, a number of staff made sure I was clean and dry and brought me a replacement drink. Thanks again.

Without any doubt, the best Indian restaurant in Nottingham. . . Authentic taste and excellent decor. The attention to detail is extraordinary. Service wise i wasn't impressed, as few were really pleasing and friendly while the more senior staff really were not welcoming and at times looked at the guests with some attitude ! This is the one and only issue I found with the place and this really is upsetting and needs to be changed. Will I go to the restaurant again ? Definitely yes. . Just for the yummy, finger lickin food. .

Really top quality meal and restaurant experience. The staff were really helpful and always at hand to assist. The food was of an exceptional quality and this restaurant had an interesting menu, not your standard traditional curries but really tasty.

Attended a small gathering of friends at the restaurant last night. Had the set menu which I don't usually go for as prefer to choose what I like. The food was yet again excellent. Starters were well cooked and delicately spiced. Had 5 different starters on my plate- lamb Chop, fish tikka, paneer tikka, and so on. Extremely tasty. A lovely touch was a small salad encased in a dried crispy mango shell. The mains were abundant with 6 different vegetable and meat dishes to choose from along with pilau rice and a selection of naan breads. Something for everyone or if you're like me- taste it all! I chose gulab Jamun and ice cream for dessert. Well executed and presented. I am a foodie and can honestly say Memsaab Nottingham for quality of food is right up there NATIONALLY. And all with very good service. 👍

Generally excellent service, great food and wines. Mem Saab is a good benchmark restaurant for more general fine dining, more upmarket than a typical curry house, but not as fancy as a Michelin star restaurant it sits in a nice place where its good enough for a celebration, but also if you just fancy a bit of treat without breaking the bank. It's kept its reputation for some time so I suspect it will endure well into the future.
