This place is amazing. The food is so good, Great staff and front of house..makes you feel very welcome and because it was my parents wedding anniversary came out with a free desert for us 😁 can't wait to go back.

Stopped here for a dinner with my friend. We enjoyed the food so much, and the stuff was nice. Octopus, fried halloumi and dolmas were great! Most definitely would come back

Have been here many times with my partner, but this time I went with a party of 18. Have to say for a large party the service was excellent. We decided (or it was suggested) that most large parties go for the meze, which was great as you get to try many of the beautiful dishes. Be warned though, there is a LOT of food to get through and I doubt many parties get through it all. Unfortunately I have two complaints, the chicken skewers were dry and non descript and why on earth you would bring the big bowls of Greek salad out at the very end of the meal, when everyone can't finish what was left on the table already was beyond me and 3 out of the 5 bowls were untouched.

When I first got in yes, was a nice cosy place with 20-25 some tables but I was not really impressed. Anyways, we sit down check the menu, order the drinks. We didn’t wait for the food too long. That wine was nice. We choose a dish from the menu to which included 4 courses, apart from the fact that was a lot of food and I left the restaurant completely full😃 every single for or spoon with food I was putting in my mouth I was really enjoying it🤪🥰. Everything was really tasty, really fresh and full of flavor, this restaurant made my night! Definitely the best Greek restaurant you can find in Nottingham and one of my all time favourite eateries. The food is absolutely superb, even for vegetarians! Staff is always very friendly and courteous and the ambiance just perfect. Would wholeheartedly recommend

An unexpected treasure in an unusually wide back alley of Nottingham near Market Square. We went relatively early, about 6pm and there were quite a few customers in, but didn't seem too busy. Within about half an hour though the place was full. We shared a bottle of wine, nothing sophisticated, had a sharing meat platter, chicken and lamb souvlaki, pork sausages, halloumi on some meat with greek salad, tzatziki, tabbouleh and flatbread. All in all it was a nice meal, hearty but too much for 2, so we asked for some containers to take the rest home - and the following day our lunch was sorted. Service was quick, efficient and polite. Decor was way better than expected from the outside, in fact quite decent. Food was good too.

Came here as a group of 4 and ordered many tapas dishes. Incredible food. Everything was cooked to perfection and had amazing flavour. We felt it was really reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food. Left very happy and very full!

A lovely Friday evening at Yamas! A great Greek Cypriot restaurant with amazing authentic food. We had lots of different dishes to share but I highly recommend the Lamb Souvlaki and Mousska - stunning! Great customer service and very welcoming. 10/10!

Superb food,service,hospitality. After working in Nottingham for a month, finally managed to get in on off chance, happen best to book for few of you. Stiffado, tasted divine,melt in mouth meat, along with the rosemary potatoes 💕 halloumi starter was lovely. Highly recommended 👌

Not been in over 12 years but went with a friend and had a fabulous meal. Lovely portion sizes, friendly staff and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit and you will have a lovely time!

Had a great family night out here. We love Greek food and this was pretty authentic. One of the better Greek restaurants we have tried in the UK. Service was excellent (not like Greece!) and staff were very friendly. Good selection of international wines too. Highly recommended.

This is a very surprising restaurant, aparently the place doesn't look much, a bit crowded, no design at all, nothing like the typical Grek restaurant, some of the staffs are a bit grumpy, but ok in the end..... buuuut the food is very good. We ordered a variety of small platters that were absolutely delicious, I been pleasantly surprised. The mains were quite large and good, but they were missing a salad, could be great to have a gyros with a bit of salad on a side, maybe they can take this comment as improvement for future menu. The place can be quite busy at certain times of the day so if you want to dine in group is better to book a table in advance.

The most delicious Greek food I have had. I have been here twice to try the lunch menu and it always amazes me. The tapas portions are great sized and delicious. The best experience for me was the service, the most welcoming and friendly staff, I’ve felt so welcomed and I’ve had a great experience eating and chatting away 🧿💙

The lunch meal is reasonable price, I can choose 3 Tapas. The food is wonderful, with brilliant service. They made my lunch experience great. I like the prawn served on skewers.

Delicious tapas style Greek dishes. They offer a great lunch deal but we also ordered a couple of dishes from the main menu. The stifado in particular was delicious, tender beef and a generous portion. There are are so many great dishes to choose from, we will be definitely be back to try more!

Yamas Meze & Tapas restaurant is outstanding! The staff were incredibly helpful in guiding us through their menu on our first visit. The food surpassed expectations; the Chicken souvlaki, Kleftico, and Falafel were all delightful choices. Highly recommended!

First time visiting and my friend and I had the tapas lunch menu. There's lots to choose from and I appreciate the gluten free options that are just as tasty (also vegan). The atmosphere is warm and inviting and so are the lovely staff. Our meal was piping hot, freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. The toilets are spotless but are downstairs. We will definitely be returning.

This is not the first time we've been to this restaurant and it won't be the last, we're already booked in for lunch in a month's time. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you are looked after impeccably. Even though we were in on the afternoon of New Year's eve there was no feeling of being rushed. We were in there for two and a half hours and everything happened in that typically laid back, Greek style where nothing was too much bother. There were four of us and we ordered the Christmas meze for four. Quite a few things on the menu are already gluten free which suited one of our party but when the staff were told, the meze was changed to suit their needs without needing to ask. The food itself is amazing, a large variety of dishes over four or five courses to give you an authentic selection of delicious Greek cuisine. There were a couple of things that I haven't tried before like the soutzoukakia but I will definitely have them again. All in all it was a cracking afternoon, if you want to experience a traditional meze for a reasonable price then this is the place to come. Sorry about the stereotypical picture but you have to have a Mythos with your meal! Yamas.

Went with wife and a friend for an evening tapas. All of us have worked in high-end hospitality and agreed that this place is exceptional. Food is delicious, service is impeccable, staff are brilliant and the price was much more affordable than we expected, based on what some previous reviews seem to claim. Definitely one to go back to!

Ate here yesterday for the umpteenth time. We were a large group of mildly unhinged individuals about to embark on a virtual run from this very restaurant to Marathon where we will finish by running the Authentic marathon for real. Many of the group had never eaten here before and I can honestly say that everyone loved it. The food, the atmosphere and the service were outstanding. We will all be back to the best Greek restaurant outside of Greece. Thank you all.

Good location, good service and reasonably priced with friendly staff, seating can be a bit tight as very busy. Personally found some of dishes with meat a bit too fragrant. Can work out a bit expensive if you start if you go down the tapas route, get one normal meal if you want to save your cash a bit.

Amazing!!! Couldn't fault anything. Service was brilliant from the moment we walked through the door and the food was gorgeous. Can't wait to return when we come back to Nottingham. Thank you for a lovely evening.

We ordered the Meze for four and it was brilliant. The waiter was really helpful and polite, he answered all the questions we had. If you have a meze for four it’ll be bigger. Don’t be fooled, the meze is not for the faint hearted! We were all stuffed by the end. Atmosphere was delightful, but not overly busy for a Saturday at 6. A perfect little slice of Greece with authentic food, drink and staff. This is my third time going and I’d go back in a heartbeat. Definitely one of the best in Notts.

This place is amazing. A family favourite where we have been going for years! The food is consistently superb, a great selection, never had a bad dish. Lunch deal is great value, very good portions. In my opinion the best food in town! Best to book.

I have been dining at Yamas for several years now, and I always had a great experience. I have just visited again, and the food was great, service was amazing. Our waiter have been going extra mile at every opportunity. This was truly one of the best dining experiences overall.
