👍 The Hickory burger was mega juicy and flavorful, the brisket was melt in the mouth. Recommend ordering a side of the burnt end mash, a little disappointed that you have to order fries separate from the main dish, which we had the incorrect quantity given. The hot wing challenge is no joke, I perso... People often mention burger, good, service, time, chicken, amazing, drinks, great, recommend, ordered,

The Hickory burger was mega juicy and flavorful, the brisket was melt in the mouth. Recommend ordering a side of the burnt end mash, a little disappointed that you have to order fries separate from the main dish, which we had the incorrect quantity given. The hot wing challenge is no joke, I personally tried a little bit of sauce on my finger, and I like spicy food. Service was very good, a little slow but it was during peak time.

Delicious food, friendly service. Our first time here. Three of us shared the carnivore platter with sides of burnt ends mash, coleslaw and chicken tenders (I personally didn’t like blood sausage and found the pulled pork rather dry) and my husband had the Doomsday Device burger (superb). The key lime pie was delicious. The gooey brownie dessert (which was served more like a sundae) wasn’t as good as I expected, it was chunks of brownie in a ton of ice cream and whipped cream. Good but not great. The key lime pie was great. Will definitely go back to try more!

Wow! This place is absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend this restaurant/bar to everyone. The food is delicious, the drinks are great, the prices are excellent, and the quality is top notch. Honestly, the best burger I've had in months. The manager, Delma, was our server and she was fantastic. She was so friendly and chatty, she made our night infinitely better. The music was a good vibe and the toilets were clean. A perfect place to hang out and grab food and drinks with friends.

Food was good it was very expensive. £4.50 for a coke. The menu was confusing with two prices on it with no explanation. One of our party ordered a combo and was not told the £29.50 price was per person the combo was for 2 people so he got a bill for £60. All in all not a bad meal but I won't go back

Inner city pub, large interior with a spooky and complex route to the toilets! Drinks offer, quality, pricing and service was fine

I've been meaning to visit this place on numerous occasions and finally found the time. I was not disappointed with the food. I had a feeling that the portions were going to be large, but I wasn't prepared for the amount of food I received. The flavour of the the food was excellent and everything on the plate had it's own unique taste, nothing was bland, just full of flavour. I have a hefty appetite, but couldn't finish what I ordered, so a high recommendation to share some plates. I only have a couple of issues on my visit. The first being the the price of the drinks, which, had I known the size of them, would not have ordered. I think it's extortionate to charge nearly £4 each for not even a full can of coke and lemonade. Additionally, upon returning home and checking the receipt, we were charged for a portion of fries. The meal my wife ordered came with fries or onion rings, and she chose fries, but only one portion was brought to the table. Finally, the 10% service charge tagged on to the bill makes it unlikely for me to return. I do think the food is great and there're some flavours you don't find everywhere in Nottingham, but some prices are far too high and additional charges do not make it any cheaper.

The burger was good, the onion rings were huge and crispy. The desert was nothing special though. Milkshake was tasty. Service was friendly, prompt and good.

We eat here almost every weekend. The food has never been bad! Very good selection of burgers and the platters are amazing! One downside is that more Often than not, they run out of a lot of the platter items. Especially their pulled meats. So you’re forced to get something else. Also sadly, the toilets are very poorly maintained. I’ve walked in there and the floor has been covered in sick and both toilets have been clogged up. Such a shame for a really nice place! I would definitely recommend the food there, but the cleanliness and facilities leave a lot to be desired.

I went with my boyfriend in October and safe to say we will not be returning again. We walked in the "bar entrance" but wasn't redirected to anyone who could help/seat us so we stood there looking like idiots. After some time, we walked around ourselves and asked the bar staff where we could get seated. Stay away from anything coated/breaded and then fried: it tastes horrible. My chicken burger tasted like FISH! I would assume it was cooked in the same oil at the hot shrimp starter that we ordered. I asked my waitress (she had long dark hair) to ask the chef why the chicken burger tasted like fish and she never came back to clarify, nor did anyone from the kitchen. Both the hot shrimp and my chicken patty were coated in way too much salt, I couldn't bare the taste of them without sipping water in between. We spent £75 between the 2 of us and there is a service charge added. We stepped out the restaurant in awe as to our experience vs the price... A positive was the strawberry milkshake as it was very creamy and thick, and the big size of the glass cups means you get your moneys worth for your drinks. Drinks are okay, food is a gamble.

Absolutely fantastic food and service, we barely had to wait 20min before everything was at our table. Will definitely be coming again!

Great atmosphere but let down by very average food for a very premium price. Expected better but unfortunately not. £18.50 for the meal shown, dry beef brisket with a spoon of slaw and 3 pickles. No fries included and charged £4.50 extra for a small portion. Will not return.

Great food and one of the best burgers ever had. The sharing platter was reasonable between 2 people and would definitely recommend it to anyone. They handled a walk-in party of 12 without any issues and served the food quickly and together. I would definitely go again.

Visited twice now and both times have been more than pleased. The food can be on the pricier side depending on what you order however it is absolutely worth it. The portions are big so would advise sharing some dishes. Staff/customer service was average but saying this we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Cocktails are tasty and they have some deals on certain days of the week. One thing to improve for me would be the dim lighting in the restaurant, I understand this is part of the ‘saloon’ vibe but for me was just too dark.

Food here was amazing, pictured is the Hickory burger with chips and nachos starter. Both were flawless. The burger was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth and the chips were also incredible with a crisp outside and fluffy inside. Staff very welcoming, polite and cheerful. We even forgot our keys and got a phone call to say we'd left them.

Amazing food and great service. Not many places that you can get a pink in the middle burger but these are so succulent and juicy! Full of flavour and really soft buns. The red dog beer is actually quite nice also, has a fruity twist to it. Staff are very efficient and keen to please. Highly recommend anyone who loves burgers to try this place.

Wow, wow, wow. First time visiting here. Thumbs up to the staff who were really accommodating and polite. The food is amazing nothing to complain about. Quickly bought to the table and hot. I had the platter to share and what a meal. More meat than you could ask for! Pricey but worth it with no complaints. Had a couple of rounds of drinks with some friends and will be happy to return on my next trip. Atmosphere was great and the choice on the menu was vast. A meal for everyone and portion size is plentiful. Highly recommend if visiting the area, you'd not be disappointed.

As usual, this is the best place for a burger in Notts (other famous ones don't quite compare!!) The actual burger is meaty, authentic and I enjoy every single bite!! Until 4, you can get burger and chips for £14.50! They also offer a range of bbq platters, the best and biggest loaded chips and nachos, great desserts and even better milkshakes!! I recommend this as a must try in Nottingham- I've been 5 times and not once has it disappointed me!

A fab little place - food was absolutely delicious and the cocktails were amazing. Our waitress, Meg, was lovely and super attentive. Would definitely recommend!

Oh my goodness. This place is incredible. I've been desperate for some Nashville Hot Chicken and saw that Louie's chicken is served here. We tried the hot chicken pieces, tenders and wings, all of which were delicious. The burgers were fantastic, too! Really good service and they also have a good range of drinks and cocktails - if we weren't driving we could have easily spent a night here with a few too many drinks.

Good food and service but too expensive. We were a table of 7 that ate at the Red Dog Saloon on Saturday 30th May. The food was good as was the service. The food arrived in good time and the staff were friendly and attentive. I had the double LTB chicken burger and for a double it was £13.25. The burger came with no sides, so I ordered mac and cheese and that cost an additional £5.50, in what was only a small ramekin. A draft pale was also £5.50. Initially our total bill was over £208 including a %10 service charge and then we also found that over £19 of Coke and apple juice was on the bill which we didn't order. The staff were apologetic and refunded the amount. We all agreed that we enjoyed the food but felt it was overpriced and the fact that the burgers came with no sides was disappointing. We didn't leave a tip as a service charge had already been added. I'm not sure we'd go back because the prices are just too high.

We visited on Mother's Day and had travelled 90 minutes as we loooove a bbq restaurant. On arriving we were seated quickly, given menus and the waitress introduced herself. Then over shared a lot about her life then hung around for an awkward amount of time. After 5 minutes the drinks order was taken. The cocktails arrived as the dinner ordered was being taken, which was a little tricky as the waitress didn't wait. The cocktails were amazing!! The waitress was helpful as we weren't sure what to order. She explained the sharing platter would be good for what we wanted and was best value. The milkshakes for the three boys arrived, they were huge and loved by all 3! We had the brisket croquettes and fried jalapeños/gherkins to start but had them out with the mains. The starters were very tasty. It's a shame we didn't stop there. The sharing platter wasn't worth the money for 2. The pulled pork was two fork fulls each (a real shame as it was good), the beef brisket was tasty, the chicken wings were lovely, the smoked sausage was OK and then the ribs. Oh the ribs. They were two huge planks of fat. You couldn't even see any meat on them. I said to the waitress that the ribs couldn't be eaten as it was all fat and showed her them and she asked, "Would you like some serviettes?" Then she went and told another waiter what we had said and laughed. Maybe they had seen the bill before us. It was an expensive meal for not a lot of food. The pulled pork and fried jalapeños were amazing, the rest was poor to mediocre. The service was not good at all. This is at the bottom of the many bbq restaurants we have been to. A real shame.

Absolutely fantastic food, the service was brilliant as well. This has to be the best burger I've ever had. Just so juicy and the flavour was amazing. Yes it's expensive but my god you get what you pay for. Next time I'm in Notts I will be going back again. 10/10 :)
