Was
not
a
good
experience.
New
Year's
Eve
2021.
Being
the
only
customer
here,
the
person
who
turned
out
to
be
the
"chef"
being
on
his
phone
as
I
walked
in
as
the
greeter.
Perhaps
should
have
been
taken
as
warning
signs.
That
being
said
he
seemed
a
pleasent
and
upbeat
young
man.
Explained
I
have
come
here
on
a
recommendation,
and
it
was
my
first
time
at
a
PieMinister.
There
appears
to
be
no-one
else
here,
taken
to
a
table.
so
I
engaged
conversation.
Asked
for
recommendations,
it
was
clear
at
this
point
-
something
else
also
off.
He
shruggled
and
was
mildly
dismissive,
he
called
to
another
person.
A
female,
I
assume
the
manager/supervisor/server.
Who
got
a
menu.
As
I
browsed,
I
asked
again
for
recommendations,
anything
seasonal?
Perhaps
he
was
not
used
to
being
on
this
side
of
experience.
"I
just
heat
them
up."
I
asked
are
the
pies
made
fresh
on
premises.
He
replied
"Yes".
Took
a
step
away.
Before
correcting
himself
turning
back.
"No,
they
are
brought
in."
"So
they
are
microwaved?"
Smiles
but
looks
down,
"Yeah...kinda
They
are
made
elsewhere
and
sent,
he
heat
them
up."
The
manageress/server
interrupted
to
say,
they
use
two
types
of
pastry
and
then
the
filling
is
added
and
topped.
Unfortunately,
it
went
further
south.
As
what
came.
A
seasonal
turkey
pie.
The
gravy
was
luke
warm.
Which
was
reheated
by
the
technical
wizardry
of
a
microwave
ping.
The
bed
of
mashed
potato/swede
I
saw
scooped
from
a
Tupperware
tub,
that
is
kept
under
the
heat
lamp.(
In
the
picture.)
Having
been
here
half
hour
or
so,
whilst
I
write
this.
The
chef/young
guy
apologized
for
the
gravy.
The
manageress/server
pleasent
and
attentive.
The
other
guys
came
in,
the
microwave
got
to
work.
Pinging
and
slamming.
A
number
of
times.
Overall
the
experience
here,
was
disappointing.
For
the
price,
more
than
£20,
for
pie,
mushy
peas
and
chips
and
a
flat
drink.
The
quality
wasn't
good
at
all.
Not
sure
could
see
that
I
will
be
passing
on
any
recommendation.
Before
I
left
the
manageress/server
did
identify
that
I
had
not
enjoyed
the
meal.
I
explained
the
feedback.
