My first visit on a Saturday lunchtime. Nice, relaxing atmosphere and not overly busy. I ordered beef and ale pie and my friend had chicken and bacon salad. The food arrived promptly and the waitress was happy to bring me some extra gravy. Can't fault the food for the price. Mashed potato was particularly delicious. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

Even when busy staff are attentive, polite and have fun with the customers. Food arrived hot and delicious. Can order at the bar but I chose the app which was easy to use and service was quick too. Only negative was I was "forced" to buy a cakeaway by that gorgeously vicious cake stand

Quite disappointed to be honest, some of the family had visited before and were raving how good the place was. So decided to book a table while they were all out of town, the first thing that struck me while being shown to our seat were thick layers of tape holding the bench seat cushions together, not very appealing for first impressions and to say the place is not that old. Quite a lot of choice on the menu but most of the classics were chicken based but Southern Fried was not available on this occasion. The smothered chicken although very nice came minus the button mushrooms as stated on the menu, the steak ordered medium to well done arrived very well done in my opinion but was still enjoyed. Some of the desserts were unavailable, the ice cream sundaes arrived with desert spoons making adding entertainment whist watching the kids trying to scoop the contents from the bottom. Been advised to try the burgers or carvery on the next visit.

Large carvery restaurant with a good size parking, nice terrace and different spaces inside. The food is quite good, there are good options for a carvery and a nice variety of vegetables. The annoying part is that you have to order at the bar and then pick up your food. Also, depending on who is serving you, they seem to be quite greedy with the meat slices. Sometimes the cauliflower is not fully cooked. Do I recommend them? Yes. They offer good quality in general. For £11 you gave a large plate full of 3 types of meat and lots of vegetables. Tip: they do also delivery (that's how I found them) Enjoy!

We went for a carvery mid afternoon when it was quiet. The meat was good but some of the veg was empty, dry or not hot enough and gravy had lumpy skin on. I've been before at lunch time when it was busy but the food was fresher and hotter. The price is good for what you get but I'm not sure all day carvery is a good idea.

Hi I was there for the first time with an old school friend yesterday ( 9/5/22) Everything was absolutely superb. We both had the Carvery which was excellent! The ambiance was lovely and the staff were great, particularly the young lady that served me. I didn’t catch her name but I remember she is back up home briefly from Birmingham. What an absolute credit she is to you !! When I am back down in Nottingham ( I used to live here ) again this is the first place I’m coming to . Thanks again Steve

Great carvery. Was very busy when we arrived without a booking but we're able to find a table. The queue was very long but it went down quickly and our server carving the meat was friendly and efficient even though he was clearly under pressure as he was the only one on. Veg was still going strong even though we arrived later on in the evening. Never had a bad meal here, never fails us.

Went in yesterday for a meal as I hadn't been out the house for over 2 weeks due to me being really poorly, despite being super busy we were seated quickly. The food was hot and delicious as always! Will always return here! Also the staff are super friendly and amazing! Didn't catch the lady's name who served us but she was amazing! See you again soon!

A lovely pub, carvery and cake to take away. Drinks are small selection but the carvery makes up for it. They have other classic menu options and even a gluten-free menu. The giant cake slices are amazing. For deluxe carvery plate size it is around 20 quid each (a few bobs added since that includes that I ordered my drink). Always stuffed and cake away is perfect for tomorrow. Happy thanksgiving. Remember to have extra turkey for the last Thursday of November.

I called Holly Tree Farm asking if we could be fit in due to booked tables online. They immediately said of course we can fit you in. We arrived and it we were told we could sit anywhere. We sat down and the staff were so friendly. Kym I think she was the manager was amazing we asked about the Xmas dinner but they were fully booked but asked me if I wanted to be phoned if there was a cancellation. I said yes. She took all my details. I have only been there once and it was about 4 years ago. So 1st time back and the food was amazing. We had carvery and the takeaway dessert. The team was amazing cannot thank enough for the most pleasant experience. We were looking for a closer carvery to go to. And we have found it. Forgotten gem we'll be back Saturdays mostly but thank you again

Never again. Still stood in the final stages of the queue after 40 minutes of queueing. Nowhere near enough staff. Meat is fatty and overdone. Parsnips are cremated. There are no roasties or cauliflower cheese. Been to a few of these chains and this the worst run one by far. My wife refunded her dinner as she didn’t want to queue. Won’t be returning. Ended up refunding mine too. There was more stuff missing and it was a 15 minute wait.

It's been about three years since we visited for the carvery, and we were looking forward to going out for a meal together as a family. The trip was pretty much a disaster. When we arrived, there was no record of a table booking we'd made. After that was resvoled, we were then informed there would be no carvery as there had been a problem, which would have been good to know in advance but, seeing how they failed to record our reservation, we weren't to know until after the 30 minute drive. We were told we could only order from the menu. This took nearly an hour for food to arrive, and when it did, my daughters food wasn't delivered as it had not been recorded. They hastily put her food together, but the food that I ordered was pretty awful in both presentation and taste. For a £10 breakfast, this is what I received (see photo). Greasy, gristly, and barely warm. I've spent £5 on a breakfast from Tesco and enjoyed it more than this. My wife has an allergy to milk, so she asked for the vegan cheese on her burger. When it arrived, they had no cheese, so she had nothing on it. What I will say, as someone who has worked in this business, is that they made the best of a bad situation. They did give my little one a baby food pouch to apologise about the wait and problems. They were doing the best they could with what was happening. With that said, it was a pretty dreadful experience overall. It was a massive waste of money, and I would have just rather gone anywhere else. I hope problems are fixed for the team there, but the food quality is certainly not reflected in the price, and for our first family day out in a while, it wasn't a memorable time.

Saturday night and the place was almost dead! Luckily we had a table of 9 although the food came out at different times, some people had finished before all dishes were out! Most of us left the food as it was a very poor standard. The burgers were awful. I think the only dish that was eaten was the lasagna that wasn’t fresh!! The cider was ok but some of the lagers were flat. This place has so much more potential.

Booked a table for 5 Friday for a Sunday, turned up and could not find our booking. The lady on the front was lovely and told us not to worry and got us a table straight away. They lady then came to tell us she found our booking and if we not happy with table she would move us. The place was very busy so i would advise to book. The food was absolutley beautiful, good service, good price and very good customer service. Will be returning.

Attended a friend's birthday meal here. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was really good value and very tasty, good portions. Clean toilets and table service for food and drink available. Really easy to order. Will definitely return. Nice large car park.

Extremely busy but staff coped without fuss. A member of staff was dedicated to one of our group in a wheelchair. Took her order for the carvery and brought it to her. Food was good, and we weren't rushed to leave after eating. Overall superb.

Lovely staff. Just before Christmas I had dropped my daughter off at college nearby and had a couple of hours to wait. After doing a bit of shopping I still had some time to wait and noticed this pub ( i didn’t know it was there or anything about it) so I decided to go and grab a coffee. The guy that served me was really friendly and polite and nothing was too much trouble. I then sat near the door and saw lots of people coming in. The staff were really attentive and polite and always had a warm welcome for people coming in despite being really busy. They always acknowledged people. I am writing this review as it was a pleasure to see how lovely the staff were which is not always the case in some other places.

This was our first visit here. The staff were friendly and welcoming and very helpful. They'd ran out of beef at the carvery but we were informed about it before we paid so wasn't a problem. The selection of vegetables were good and we enjoyed what we had. I think the only downside was some of the vegetables were about gone or has ran out when we were served but it was a Sunday fairly late on so to be expected. We were happy with what we had. Have to give the staff serving the carvery an extra mention and thank you.... It was really warm that day and you could tell they were struggling with the heat. Even though they were constantly busy and really hot they carried on with a smile and friendly service... Will definitely be returning

Came for church Christmas meal and had a mixed bag to be honest. We found out day before that the katsu turkey curry was off the menu and on the day discovered that the chicken wing starter was unavailable. I had the Festive burger which was outstanding and had mince pie gateau to take away. The restaurant just needs to make sure that it can deliver everything that has been ordered in advance from the menu. We also had a party of 44 booked in but there were not enough seats put out for us when we arrived. Staff did set up more tables but this caused some disruption.

Been here a few times. Food is always amazing. There's a good variety of things on offer so even fussy eaters can dine. Wheelchair access is good and they are very accommodating with where they sit you. The only down side is the disabled toilet isn't any good for those needing a hoist and bed!

Excellent food quality and variety, despite them being incredibly busy. The beef was incredibly tender and the dauphinois potatoes and goose fat potatoes were to die for! The welcome host was brilliant, so bubbly and empathetic and super keen to help us. In fact all the staff were continuing to be pleasant despite being under an exceptional amount of pressure, the queue for a table went out of the front door for most of the two hours we were there, and obviously the queue for the actual carvery was extensive as a result. Well done team, we will definitely be back, or please set up some more carvery pubs in Nottingham Greene King, there’s obviously a significant need which would take the pressure off the poor staff at Holly Farm who were rushed off their feet and being complained at all by impatient regulars!

Amazing meal. Seven family members visited Holly Tree Farm today to celebrate my son’s birthday. The food was amazing and the staff were friendly especially Adele who arrange a surprise slice of cake with a candle and my son’s name wrote on it in icing. It was a lovely gesture and I can’t thank her enough. She is a great member of staff and we will definitely be returning.

I did enjoy the carvery . The downside lots and lots of butter in all the veg. I thought it was all yummy but not healthy. The food was nice. On our second visit it felt like there was only one chef in the whole place. We was waiting for ages to be served. Eventually he rushed out spoligiding. I think he had been cooking other customer request. There is a big menu if you don't want carvery.plenty if sweets, ice creams and what I call heart attack cakes. The cakes look fab. Have a lot if sugar and icing on. That's my personal opinion. I have never tried a cake. They look very creamy

👍👍 Absolutely amazing! I went to have lunch on my graduation day with my friends. Food was very flavourful and cocktails were nice. Special dietary options are available and you always get 2-4-1 cocktails. Service was really friendly and approachable. Ambience and music is just cherry on top.
