I visited here for the first time on 20 June 21. My partner and I both ordered the vegetarian Sunday lunch: Butternut squash and sweet potato roast with roast potatoes, bashed swede and carrot mash, savoy cabbage, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Each meal cost £13. There was some slight confusion with the online booking but the Supervisor (the lady with the straight blonde hair and boots) was excellent, she welcomed us and found us a table with zero fuss (thank you!). The app was easy to use for ordering (if you wish to customize your order, simply speak to a staff member). We sat inside and, even though it was very busy, the place is so big, it didn't feel packed. The pub is very comfortable and includes leather sofas. The food was delicious. The vegetarian roast was hearty, the cabbage perfectly cooked, the roast potatoes were super-crunchy and finished with garlic (which worked brilliantly with the rest of the meal). The Yorkshire pudding was perfect, crispy on the outside and velvety in the middle. All credit to the kitchen staff. That they can knock out perfect Sunday lunches to such a large and busy pub is a testament to their skills. Well done. Pro-tip: you have the option to order an extra Yorkshire pudding on the app. Do it! You won't regret it! Also, from what I saw and experienced, the Supervisor is very good at her job. I look forward to visiting again very soon.

This place is huge!! It's got plenty if seating and dining areas, and have a really great atmosphere. Even when some pubs may be struggling to get people through the door, this place was still really busy (I've no doubt still a lot quieter than it would like for the time of year though). The fact it was still busy, though, is a testament to what they have. Even outdoors has huge heaters, so no danger of feeling cold. Update (as have now been a 2nd time!). The food is amazing!! So much quality food to choose from, and all presented immaculately. The service was perfect, too. It's definitely worth a visit.

We'd been here before and enjoyed a meal but on returning a few days ago, it seems the place has gone downhill. After visiting Wollaton Park we decided to go to the Wollaton Pub for lunch. On walking from the pubs car park we were greeted with a sign which said they were not servicing food that day, only drinks. We turned around to walk back to the car but then noticed plates on the outside tables. With that we walked back into the pub to check and were told food was being served and the sign was for another day! After being shown to the table, my 7 year old daughter pointed out how dirty the seat was and then moved onto the remanence of food and crumbs on the table. Obviously this hadn’t been cleaned or if so not very well. Thankfully we carry wipes for my 3 year old so wiped the seat and table ourselves so not to create a fuss but I was annoyed. Deciding what to order I noticed a couple of pies underneath the warmer as we came in which must I thought must of been waiting to go over to someone to enjoy. We ordered two pies and based on how lukewarm they were on arrival, I can only assume these were the two pies I saw when we walked in! My breath was warmer than these but then on tasting it, the main ingredient must have been salt as that’s all you could taste. I was also amazed that for £13.50 all you got was literally a pie and four pieces of tender stem broccoli covered in sauce which must just be to disguise the fact the broccoli had been burnt to hell and taste like charcoal. My daughters had the kids meals and the staff kindly let us change parts of the meal to a more healthy option which was appreciated but when that came out the chicken was over cooked and my daughter unable to cut it. I then struggled myself to cut the chicken up for her and then noticed something catching on my finger from the knife handle. Oh lovely, a hardened crusted piece of old food on the knife handle. It goes without saying and after receiving a bill of £48.00 for such a poor amount and quality of meal, we won’t be eating here again or recommending it.

Exceptional Sunday dinner! Always book as this place is really popular and there’s a very good reason why. Excellent service and the food is alway delicious. At £16 for a beef Sunday roast (and extra for sides such as cauliflower cheese) it’s definitely on the pricy side but for a special treat it’s well worth the money. Never a bad experience.

Unfortunately they didn’t have a table for our booking so we had to wait a while standing up with our drinks in the way of everyone. The food was great and service decent however.

Dear dear me. What can I say about this place. Visited on a week night with a party of 4, sat in the restaurant and ordered drinks and food. Drinks came and we were chatting away nicely. Sadly, the waitress came over after and hour and told us that she had misplaced our order, and would we mind ordering again! So a further 30 mins later our food arrived again, sadly, one of the meals was totally wrong (pizza instead of a salad? What??) The unfortunate part of all this was that the waitress really couldn't care less. Literally didn't give a toss Manager was very apologetic and gave us some money off, but that's not the point really. Shame honestly, the food was actually ok.

Drink in here regularly and have been meaning to go for food so yesterday we went for lunch. Service was excellent and so was the food. 2 of us had the steak burger and 2 of us had the Wollaton fish and chips. The burger was really good - nice juicy steak burger with fresh bun, lettuce and smoked cheese. The fish also looked great and I was told it was lovely by the others in our party. Good selection of beers even has my favourite - Neck Oil! I would definitely recommend.

Popped here on a sunny Saturday afternoon for a spot of lunch and it didn’t disappoint!! Food was amazing Caesar Salad was incredible and the fish and chips were just the right size. Beer garden has plenty of availability lots of tables with and without umbrellas to help with the shade. The staff were really attentive and helpful tables being cleared quickly and efficiently highly recommended for a visit!

Another excellent meal at the Wollaton last week. Great selection and excellent quality. Reasonable prices given quality and size of meals.

I must say the service and the atmosphere of this place is like no other. The staff were welcoming and polite. On to the food. I had the steak and after indulging into the sweet beef cooked to the way god intended it. It felt like my taste buds got together in the tonsil meeting room and all gave each other a high five. I will 100% be returning for more delicious delicacies.

I must say I was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere inside was lovely and very cozy along with being very clean. The wait staff were very friendly and food was brought out at a good pace. To top it all off the food was divine. I had the camembert and bread to start which was lovely (and definatley for two) the pork belly which was lovely and crisp and very tender and the sticky toffee pudding for desert which was perfectly sized. Overall incredibly impressed and would recommend.

Looks lovely, the welcome not so. Sat there for less than an hour and out of a full pub of customers we were asked if we were ready to leave, but obviously she didn't want to make us feel like we had to go! Not impressed with a pub I've been visiting since the 90's. Lady in charge needs a lesson in tact.

The Wollaton make nice Sunday meals, and don’t compromise on the quality of other courses. Their table service is spot on, and the Bar Area is super cosy. The Wollaton was a fabulous conclusion to our day out Highfields Lake Rowing.

i came here at 13:00, waited easily over 1 and a half hours for my food to show up, paid £16 for one of the smallest fish and chips ive every had, and to be quite honest, tasteless. went to the toilet to see if i can find any atmosphere, but only to find a filthy toilet / sinks. wouldn’t recommend, ill still come back though, its my local.

The ultimate came out like a small plate of Sunday roast… I was waiting for the veg to come out to realise it was already in my plate. Nice pub, good ales but for £21 for a Sunday roast I know of better places for less. Need more attention to proportion to price ratio. Thanks.

Only the very fatty pork (out of five different dishes) let down an excellent meal. Service well paced and very friendly, although my sister in law's puppy stole the show in truth - this is a very dog friendly pub, if that's not your thing then there is a dog free restaurant area too.

Went for Sunday lunch just this Sunday gone for the first day time. Me and three friends were sat quickly and ordered two lamb, one beef and one nut roast… The vegetables were good but meats were all tough! They were supposed to be served pink but definitely didn’t arrive pink - more like well done. Beef was the most chewy which was not a pleasant experience at all. 👎🏾 Nut roast was ok, but nothing to write home about…. Service was good but roast was a bit of a let down on that occasion, which is very disappointing considering the reviews. I’d give it one more try, but let’s just say I’m not rushing back.

Had a fantastic family meal (12 of us in total). Great communication from start to finish via email. Both food and service was excellent and a huge shout out to Maddie who was our waitress. We are booked again for 2 weeks time.

On new year's eve my family held a wake here for after my uncles funeral. The staff were nothing but excellent and catered for our every need. They made a very emotional day that little more easy. The food was excellent and the service at the bar was very good.

Cannot fault the food (Sunday roast), large portion sizes and really tasty. Just felt a bit rushed. We knew when we booked that we had a certain time slot, but were reminded of this 3 times during our meal. With 20 minutes to go, they were cleaning the table around us. Appreciate how busy Sundays must be, but just didn't feel very relaxing at a customer.

Good service, great staff, slightly above the usual pub grub, both in terms of cost and quality. I had the Sriracha chicken burger. A bit pricy (well, it is Wollaton), but perfectly fine. The Eton Mess was unusual in that it contained Clementines and pistachio, but very good. Lots of outdoor seating, and free carpark.

👍👍 Absolutely amazing! I went to have lunch on my graduation day with my friends. Food was very flavourful and cocktails were nice. Special dietary options are available and you always get 2-4-1 cocktails. Service was really friendly and approachable. Ambience and music is just cherry on top.
