We came to the Titus exhibit, with a 3yr old. He loved seeing Titus, but the rest of the exhibit was a bit advanced for him. He loved the play ground, we took a picnic, he enjoyed the rest of the house and gardens. We spent a good 4-5hrs here today, lots of deer to see, we could have walked for longer, but it's been too hot today. Will definitely go back, is a lovely park to visit and the £5 parking all day is reasonable. Also staff are still wearing face masks, and a lot if the visitors were inside too, the exhibit was nice a quite and you are able to social distance still

An absolutely amazing deer park. Not a big fan of Batman myself but still came because of the lovely deers! A decent park for a walk during anytime of the day. Great place for families and picnics too. Highly recommended.

Wollaton Hall also known as Wayne Manor. A Beautiful Historic Building surrounded by well kept, Beautiful surroundings. Parking is £3.20 for 2 hours. Ample parking with a children’s park right next to the parking and also an ice cream van. An easy route round the lake and through the orangery gardens. Well maintained. A safe place for families, couples and friends. You’ll also be lucky to see swans, birds, Herons and even deer out in the open. Wollaton hall also does a movie night outside, so look out for the tickets. They fly out and go very very quick.💨 A great place, perfect location, lots of space plenty of walks. Would definitely recommend. 💯

Had a beautiful walk around here with our dogs. Gorgeous place to walk, absolutely stunning. The cafe was nice, very busy and lots of cake in offer. A few small independent shops too in the same area. Lovely place for families to walk and a play area at the entrance make it a fab place to take the little ones.

An amazing place for a family or solo day out, filled with lots of things to do for all ages. The house is free to enter with a lot of amazing stuffed animals on show.

Lovely place to come for a walk, got a lovely cafe, toilets, places to sit and eat. Definitely recommend it. Went to the botanical gardens (Only open Sunday 2pm - 4pm) but very nice walk around there. Wheel chair and dog friendly. There's loads of shady areas for the hot days and couple of ice cream vans around the park.

Had a lovely day there. The building style is pretty unique, not something you can see all the time. It was the place in the film of the Batman Dark Knight. The garden and the deer park are free to enter but you will need to pay to go into the main building as there are exhibitions in it. It's very easy to see the male deer and the deer seems used to seeing humans.

I run outdoor yoga sessions here through the summer in the gardens and the surroundings are absolutely amazing. I commute through on my bike frequently too and find it a wonderful break to the busy city. The kids love a walk around the lake and exploring the woodland and the cafe and toilets are well kept. Coming here when the deer are exploring is a truly magical experience. My little ones have sat still for half an hour watching the stag and Deer wander. The only downside is the gate opening and closing times are a little later than we would like to be able to run through early morning.

It's been quite a few years since we last visited here. It really is a special place. Thoroughly enjoyed the Dinosaur exhibition, the 2 young volunteers were brilliant ! & other areas were interesting too. The grounds are extensive ,& it's lovely to be so close to the Deer. Downside, the parking system is a shambles. You pay for either 2 hours or all day, plus the machines don't work, an App to pay is suggested, which we don't have or want & visitors with the App said it didn't work ! Hence had to pay in the coffee shop for parking ! That aside, we had a lovely time

The light show was totally magical, the woodland walk was beautiful, the light tunnel was amazing and the finale with the projection of animals on the Hall was fantastic. There was so much more to see but these were my favourites. I would take your own refreshments unless you like paying 3 quid for a small paper cup of coffee and 3 quid for a mince pie!

This is a lovely, large park great for running or just strolling about casually. It wasn't too crowded in the morning and probably offered the most deer at that time too. Go during July and you might be lucky enough to see the fawns. Although you can't get too close to them, you can see them crystal clear from a reasonable distance. Even without the animal tour guides the park is well worth a visit for a bit of green space and a peaceful walk :) The only warning I have is to beware the copious amounts of deer poop!

Absolutely stunning park, got to see both red and fallow deer. Plus Wollaton hall is stunning (and it's Wayne Manor so that's pretty cool!) Really nice food in the cafe too.

Beautiful place to visit, we stopped for a couple of hours on our way down south whilst travelling from the north, house is beautiful, we didn't go inside but gardens were lovely to stroll around and a few lawn games for the children to play with. Park was great, perfect place for a picnic and run of some steam. We would definitely visit again.

Beautiful park and Estate!! Now this place is vast... Plenty of parking, for a fee. Fantastic outdoor play park with plenty for all ages, enclosed for safe playing. Theres a lovely little cafe to get drinks or snacks and facilities behind too. There was even a section of rides, trampolines and a mini golf for the school holidays. That's all before you walk around, Wayne Manor as its fondly known, stands imposing on the hill top over looking the land, park, cafes and the lake. After refreshments at the courtyard cafe by the hall you can walk round the lake and through the woodland, where you meet the residents of this impressive estate of natural beauty. Pack a picnic, pair of trainers and get yourself down there.. old, young or with the kids.

Excellent place to see deer roaming freely and a nice place to enjoy the outdoors. Plenty to of nature to see as well as buildings, a large pond with ducks, many horse chestnut, beech and oak trees, green open spaces, an absolutely beautiful garden area as well as numerous benches, picnic tables and the essential facilities like toilets and somewhere for a cup of tea! Great value for just the cost of parking which is £5 for the full day.

Wollaston Hall is a fanatic afternoon out and a beautifully deer park well worth visiting and especially considering was used the the batman films, worth a visit. The museum collection is worth a good look at if that's your sort of thing and the natural music exhibits inside the hall are fantastic too

Absolutely lovely walk around the lake. It doesn’t take long and there are ducks and geese to feed. Keep an eye open for the deer roaming freely on the grounds. Parking isn’t free, it’s £5 flat fee for the whole day even if you arrive late afternoon. There is a cafe and a museum which is great but check the website because it can close on random days.

I'd never heard of this place before visiting Nottingham and googling what there is to do - i was so pleasantly surprised to find this place is vast and beautiful, with its own (free) natural history museum that actually has created and interactive exhibits, full of actually interesting information and activities. You must see their microscopic sculptures, they're mind-blowing! There is also endless green grass to walk along and explore, and wild deer roam the grounds. You'll also see friendly ducks by the lake. Overall an incredible way to pass a few hours and a great place for families.

Great place to visit. Fantastic play area for the kids right near the cafe and toilets. We arrived quite late in the day so didn't have time to visit the museum and only managed to view the gardens. The Deer are an added bonus. We paid £5 for all day parking and took a picnic along so it was a really cheap day out.

Wonderful place to take anybody to,especially grandchildren to. I saw two stags rutting-must be quite early in the season. The exhibition "through the eye of a needle is well worth a look. Must go earlier so we can get into the botanical garden

What a fabulous place to visit. We went for a walk around and came face to face with a t-rex in the hall. Parking is good and plenty. It was free when I was there but evidently it is charged for at times? The hall itself is magnificent. A jewel in England.

Great park suitable and accessible to everyone at all times of year. Great for cycling, walking, nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. The Hall is quite some piece of architecture (and featured in one of the Batman films). Very well kept gardens around the Hall. Superb golf course. Great in summer for picnics. Play area for children. Great concerts and outdoor operas/plays and various events (vintage car shows, funfairs, markets, sporting events, etc etc check the website/Nottingham City). The Christmas light show is awesome. Well maintained paths all around. Amazing trees (one of the largest/oldest oak trees in Britain). Stunning in autumn foliage. Deer and wildlife roam free. Small cafe area (drinks and snacks only) and small souvenir shop. Washrooms. Takes 2hrs if you want to walk round the whole park. But just 5 mins from car park area to the Hall; how far you go after that is up to you! Free entrance to the park area; pay and display parking. Closed overnight. Dogs must be kept on leash. Enjoy!

Wonderful place to visit, at any time of year. Parking all day is £5 The park is great, and there's often fair ground rides and stalls. Lots of ground and garden to walk around including a lake, and there's often a trail for kids for £2

Gorgeous place, lovely cafe, had a coffee and gorgeous coffee and walnut cake. Great park for little ones and dog friendly but keep your dogs and children away from the deer particularly throughout rutting/ breeding season to give them space and for safety

Traveling from Lincoln is worth the trip for me. To go walking around this beautiful and peaceful scenery, while the deer and wildlife roam around freely with you is divine. The Hall is also free to enter and full of fun and interesting features.

Place is lovely to dog walk, plenty of seats. Lovely to see the deer. Only point is parking, you cannot use good old cash anymore. Used the app and got charged 0.20p more than displayed. Hence the four stars.

This is an amazing day out. You get to be so close to the deers and they're amazing, the grounds and lake are so beautiful, I saw some birds I'd never seen before, this is a top 10 place to visit

Beautiful lights. Plenty of parking and well organized Christmas event. However, ticket prices were a little steep and food and drink almost unaffordable for families attending

Lovely hall and great collection. Gardens are huge and beautiful. Didn't have time to go to the deer park, but spotted a few from distance. Magnificent is the word. Nice cafe, food could be better. Free admission is a bonus, but donations are accepted and a great way to show support. Lovely experience altogether. A must see place.

A place I’ve been wanting to visit for a while since moving to the area, I definitely wasn’t disappointed. There was plenty of parking available, with a lovely walk from the bottom car park, by the playground, up to the Hall itself. Such a great place to visit for all ages, & only a donation is required for entry. Every room that I went into has been put together perfectly, everywhere you look there is something to take in. There were plenty of stuffed/fake animals, maybe the largest collection Ive ever seen! Whilst visiting I also went to the cafe, but this was less impressive, with there being limited hot food options, & at the same time being expensive. My visit was finished with walking around the grounds taking in the vast scenery, seeing plenty of deer. I’ll definitely be visiting again, in the near future.

We attended the Christmas light display, at Wollaton park, the parking is really well organised and good signage to show you where to go thereafter. Lighting display is very good, with lots of different types of displays. Only criticism would be that the footpaths are poorly lit, in places, with ground level lights shining in your face rather than illuminating the paths.

  • 3/5 S M P. 3 months ago on Google New
Went to the festive light display in the evening. It was ok - if you've not been to one before. It was well organized. However, it did not really have the wow factor - unlike the Belton house display we did a few years ago.

We visited Wollaton Hall for the Christmas Lights and had a great time. Plenty of opportunities for food, drink, and enjoying the lights with our son. Parking was no issue and the venue staff were really friendly. Highly recommend a visit.

Been coming here since I was a kid and it's just as good now!! The hall itself is magnificent from the outside and the grounds are kept immaculately. Security staff are very friendly and there's so much to do including the inside tours of the Nottingham History Museum within the Hall, play areas for the kids, and a ton of space for ball games, picnics, and the like. The gardens out back are expansive and beautiful as well and if you're lucky you can be pretty close to the local deer herd as well which was amazing. It was closed when I went last but I hear there is a smaller museum inside the stables too. Coffee shops and gift shops are on site as well with varying degrees of quality but the coffee we had was pretty good. Staff in those shops could be a little more helpful however. All in all its a varied and wonderful place that could probably do with a few adjustments in some areas. Eg the museum needs to bring back more of the taxidermy as its historic and very unique and educational. Also the parking is diabolical, expensive for one but also requires an app to use which is Ill thought out considering there's literally no signal there. So it loses a star for that but otherwise a fantastic day out.

A beautiful place to go for a walk or a picnic with friends, family or even by yourself. So many paths to walk, especially round the lake which is a wonderful to sit by whilst taking the world in (plenty of benches throughout too!) So cool that the deers roam free as they do, so lovely to see. There's no pay and display machines anymore and instead, you have the option of using the app (pretty easy to use), calling the number stated or alternatively you can buy a ticket at the café/shop. However I didn't have any issues using the app to pay for parking, and you get a confirmation text and email. It's probably the easiest option to be honest, as it's quick and convenient. Will definitely return soon. 😊👍🏻

Went for the Titus the T.Rex exhibit. This was very good. The house and park are a nice day out. Some stuff though only seems open on the weekend (Industrial Museum). The natural history museum part is mostly stuffed animals. But a good day out

Lovely park with very natural surroundings plus 2 variety of deer heard. The hall is impressive and the outbuildings have coffee shops and gift shops. Great for a walk and you wouldn't believe you are surrounded by parts of the city.

A great patch of Eden in the heart of a Nottingham. A wonderful country park with great walks as well as abundant wildlife to view. The hall is full of character and filled with wonders of the natural world. I'd recommend going to see the Titus the T.rex exhibit whilst it's their. Not every day a real Tyrannosaurus Fossil is in the UK!

Very nice, large park to visit. Lots of trails and a variety of sites. Ponds, trails, a mansion, a cafe, aviary, and much much more. Delightful place.

  • 5/5 David L. 2 years ago on Google
Fabulous place, lots of open space and wonderful walks. Watch out for the stags roaming around!

  • 4/5 Myke H. 2 years ago on Google
Use What3Words ///chips.dish.pays to get correct entrance into the car park. Satnav takes you to the restaurant. The mobile signal is spotty at best so paying for parking by Ring Go can be tricky. Do it before you go, if going to view the Xmas light show. There are food stands during the shows, but the late ones only have hot drinks, which are only small take away size and expensive for what they are. Wheelchair accessible, however use walking shoes or old trainers as the route gets quite manky towards the end if it's been raining. If you're going for photos go for the last viewing and hang back.

What a beautiful place to walk and explore. As you can see from the pictures, the deers was everywhere and wasn't bothered about us walking past and admiring the views. We didn't visit the mansion (which appeared in dark Knight) but i will be going back here.

Lovely grounds, beautiful house. The herd of deer make the walk round the grounds more exciting when you spot them. Lots to see and places to explore, the lake is a nice circular walk and they currently have a T.Rex skeleton on display on the main house!

I have run here many times, and I had never once known that there was a museum inside the hall. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was very surprised at how interesting and informative it was. The park surrounding the hall is also very lovely. Definitely would recommend it.

I cannot praise this beautiful oasis enough. Today I saw a pair of parakeets and a little egret, and the photo opportunities are endless. Visit early for the morning mists and fewer dog walkers, to get better pictures. And bring a decent camera (which, sadly, I didn't!).

Very pretty grounds and building. Batman manor in dark knight rises I was told. The manor inside has an interesting selection of animals. The grounds and lake area are the winners here, very relaxing and clean.
