Camped here for a race one weekend. Nice location, close to HPP and a quiet area. Plenty of space to pitch up, we were told the campsite was fully booked but there would have been plenty of room to squeeze more on. Facilities were all clean. Only issue we had was the rave that was taking place nearby that finally ended around 4am!

A great day out. Visited with a friend and her children. The rates are good and the activities were amazing. I can see it being a bit too busy on a hot summers day as everything is very close to each other. Would 100% return for more activities though. A run around the regatta is brilliant too!

Stayed on the camping site. Liked: The overall site was lovely, very spacious and nice lush grass, different areas, shop and park. It was very busy with families enjoying time together, playing music, games and eating. Everyone followed the rules of the evening and quieten down by 9.30/10pm. The park was close to the water sports centre, and we had plenty to do to keep the kids entertained. You can also wash and dry clothes for £2+, handy if you forget to pack extra bits for mucky accident prone little legs. Play park on site. And super quick access to a supermarket and takeaway places. Highly recommend dough n buns in West Bridgeford for pizza - easy to order online and 3 mins drive to collect. Disliked: The pitches were not easily identified, the numbers were not on the posts. These could do with relabelling. The toilets - overall not terrible but not amazing either. I was there 3 nights and only saw the cleaners once (during super busy times I feel the cleaners need to be about daily) after they had been the toilets/showers were much better. However, I do think it’s wrong that people assume the cleaners are there to clean up after them, if you drop a piece on tissue on the floor at home you pick it up and bin it, if you your sanitary items accidentally miss the bin, you don’t leave them, you pick them up, pop them in the bin. Some of the toilet/shower issues could have been better if people just spent a little longer making sure they did not leave a mess behind them - granted, a lot of kids used the toilet’s unsupervised. Many have said about an extra toilet block - one down the far end would be handy, especially for those late night toilet breaks.

I had a wonderful weekend with the girls! We had initially planned to go tubing, but I'm so glad we ended up trying rafting instead. It was quite an experience, especially since it was the first time for all of us. Finn made us feel at ease and helped make our overall experience unforgettable. I'd like to extend my thanks to Danny for assisting me with the booking and ensuring everything went smoothly on the day.

We used the water activity side of this venue. When we went into the wrong area via the hotel reception, we asked for directions and if we were in the right place and the guy on reception was edging on the side of rude to be honest. He advised us were to go but seemed quite irritated by us being there! The sports centre itself offers a good range of activities. The staff seem a mix of ones that are really pleasant but then others are quite surly with an attitude that seems to exude from them!! Luckily, we had a those that were really chilled and pleasant when we took part. Others we witnessed were round and about the centre. The water assault course was really good fun and worth a go!! We didn't have any food here so can't comment on that.

Fantastic water sports venue. However. Activities are expensive but nothing else can offer the same experience so they can set whatever prices they like. Car parking is £5 all day. Fine if your staying for the day expensive if just letting the kids run in the park for an hour. The little cafe near the park was nice and offers decent food at reasonable prices with friendly staff. The toilets are disgusting and a real let down. Wet slippy floors, Broken handle in disabled toilets and a smell so bad a kid ran out holding there nose shouting "I'm peein in the bush" and it did sound like a better idea.

I wouldn’t recommend this campsite at all and we wouldn’t stay here again. Very overpriced for camping especially when we were kept awake both the nights we stayed due to loud music playing until stupid o’clock in the morning. It’s ridiculous that you allow stag dos to play their music and sing extremely loudly during the night when you have a campsite full of people who actually want to sleep. Also, the shower and toilet facilities were disgusting and dirty the whole time we stayed with used sanitary towels stuck to the radiators and overflowing sanitary bins. Absolutely not worth the £70 bill. We would avoid this place, the worst place we have ever stayed.

Amazing. Our rafting was led by Liam, he was very thorough and made sure we knew what we were doing at all times. So exciting, he takes it at our pace and makes sure we’re being pushed when we want to! Very exciting and challenging, somewhat physically demanding but definitely fun for a family. Thanks!

👍👍 I visited Portello Lounge a few years ago for food (as a teen) with family, and I was very impressed by the food and service back then. A few years later, we thought we would go again when I was visiting but this time for cocktails (now that I am that age 😉). Coming from a small town, I was amazed...

😠 The food was delicious as always but the evening was sadly ruined by a very odd scenario with the bill. The menu advertises a two-for-one offer on pizza, pasta and risotto with a "minimum spend per person £20". Our table of 4 ordered £92.50 worth of food and drinks and received a bill totalling £6...

👍👍 The staff here are probably the most polite, attentive and friendly I have experienced anywhere. The coffee is good (but not the best), the cake is excellent (but not the cheapest) and the lunch is very tasty, all situated in a beautiful building by the wharf. I can thoroughly recommend the mixed bo...
