The skatepark and the bike track are a nice addition to what you would see elsewhere. The play area is kept well and islarge and has various equipment to keep the kids amused for a while. Theirs a nice flat grass area for outdoor games like football Toilets available. ice cream etc coffee are on site. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely wonderful park! Perfect for children, young people, and families alike. There are a few walking paths which are also dog friendly, and lots of lovely scenery. There’s also a small bottle of water which is perfect for a walking or running loop. I don’t think you could really ever get tired of this place!

Lovely country park, looking fantastic in its autumn colours. Not too busy for a nice Sunday. Parking is only Β£1.00 for the whole day. Plenty to do for little ones, with play park, sensory garden and lots of wildlife. Nice place to walk dogs with a large area where they are allowed off the lead. Also a dedicated cycling path. Will definitely go back again

Lovely country park, with lots to see and do. Parking is only Β£1.00 for the whole day but car park needs to be bigger as it's a popular place. Enjoyed the new cafe but prices seem quite high. Plenty to do for kids as there is a play park, skate/bike area, sensory garden and lots of wildlife. Nice place to walk dogs with a large area where they are allowed off the lead plus a fenced in training area. Great place for adults too to just relax and take in the scenery. Will definitely be visiting regularly.

Large well laid out park with various facilities for kids and dog walkers. Well maintained park which I visited during Easter weekend and it was extremely busy. Nephew really enjoyed the skatepark and they're also bike ramps to use free of charge. Little disappointed that the toilets were locked up at 3pm. There's a dog agility course available which we attempted to get our dogs to do, however with little success. Lots of grassy areas and a massive playground for kids which will certainly keep they entertained for hours. During our visit there was also an ice cream van and another van offering coffee and snacks. Parking was a bit of an issue during Easter weekend, with people having to park on grass verges during peak time. I wish that they could extend the parking to make a visit a little less stressful during busy times. On a positive note, it's nice that parking only costs Β£1 for the entire day. Will definitely visit in future, best park in the local area that offers so much.

We are so lucky to have this place 5 minutes drive away from where we live. Its such a beautiful place and the people running it and looking after it do an AMAZING job. It's always clean, well kept, always being updated and renewed. It has a beautiful lake with ducks and swans and other variety of birds, such a beautiful sight on a spring day. Plenty of walking routes to do as well for people with or without dogs and also little walks that children love, with trails of different kinds. The park is great for kids of all ages and always kept clean and tidy. On site little shop that sells snacks and drinks and also a coffee van that parks there daily. There is parking available on site for a minimal fee of Β£1. well worth it. Thank you to everyone looking after this amazing place.

My boys loved it and really enjoyed the playground. There's things to do for everyone; a sensory area,a skate/bike park, walking, the train museum next door, outdoor exercise equipment and plenty of green space to either chill with a picnic or play sport. And all for Β£1 parking for the DAY. Advice would be to get there early, as it is popular and the car park isn't very big. People who were parked on the road near the car park were being handed tickets.

A very good view country park with a beautiful lake and very convenient car park in Ruddington. Lots of children playgrounds and facilities to play, and large green fields for pets.

Great for biking, skating, scooting with a playground and exercise equipment to keep the children entertained. Lots of open green space for activities such as football and paths and woods to explore. Secure dog agility course and options for food, drink and snacks. Parking can be very busy but you can park on the approach road as well.

What a fantastic place loads of things to do with the kids, loads of adventure trails. Brilliant place for a leisurely walk and great play ground. There's also a couple of shops for refreshments. You'll enjoy it.

This is 'Ruddington Country Park' politically called 'Rushcliffe Country Park'. Rushcliffe is a Borough. The park is split by a railway track with a footbridge crossing. Pathways allow all weather walking and cycling yet puddles of rain water collect at times. The park is well visited by dog walkers exercising dogs. A dog agility area is available to train clever pets. The park has a flat surface type maze or labyrinth, walk this for contemplation. Hot drinks and snacks are sold from a mobile unit, coffee is somewhat tasteless, served by very friendly staff. Watch out for the opportunist Magpies that will snatch any food from the picnic benches. Unusual toilet units with vents are available if desperate. Dog policy is areas for dogs on leads and free go crazy run bark fetch balls and sticks, under good control of course. Car parking is patrolled by zealous wardens in black military style combat uniforms checking tickets. The artificial duck pond near the visitors centre with toilets is a pleasant walk around, the toilets are often closed. Kids love the play area, the spider pyramid is now half the size it once was, so not such fun for adventuress take a risk kid training, all very safe for the modern child. A BMX bike style slalom near the skate park can be exciting to use. Parking on the side road known for thefts from cars is an option to avoid parking tolls and, a convoluted drive around the business estate to the park and display. Wheelchair friendly, but watch out for the slopes. A good western view of the surrounding country side from benches on the west side, you can enjoy looking at the A453 and Ratcliffe on Sour power station, Clifton Pastures and Gotham Moor of King John fame. Picnics are popular in summer time. The dog kennels can spoil the peaceful space with barking. Look out for real Steam Engines at the Heritage Centre.

Coffee and Cake by the Lake. Nice stop off when dog walking around the lake. Staff lovely and helpful at the kiosk. Good clean modern toilet facilities, two male and two female accessed from the outside. Water bowls for our four legged friends. Perfect stop off with a good number of pinic benches available. It looks like there is some building of a shelter of some sort. Hopefully its an undercover area for sitting outside as there is no indoor seeting. Good tea and hot chocolate (cost Β£5.50). Selection of pre-packed cakes, treats, baguettes, paninis, jackets etc. See picture for full menu. Located next to the car park. For teas and coffee's there is also a mobile van next to the childrens play area which is good. Its not there every day but is there at the more popular times. AED Defibrillator located here. Opening Times The park is accessible all year round, but the visitor centre and toilets may not be available over the Christmas period Visitor centre 8am to 4pm daily Log cabin toilets 9am to 6pm daily Compost toilets 9am to 3pm daily Changing Places accessible toilet 8am to 4pm daily Takeaway cafΓ© open 10am to 4pm daily (opening times vary seasonally)

I take my 4 year old granddaughter here regularly. She absolutely loves the games area, after the cafe but before the park on the right hand side, if you are entering from Loughborough Road. The park itself is always clean and there is plenty on it to keep children entertained. Near the park there is a railway bridge that leads to some wooden structures that children can play on. Such as a wooden snake that they can try to walk and balance across. Also, a maze made from old car tyres half buried in the ground and other interesting things to do. They are all in the woods and half of the fun is trying to find them. There is a skate board park, lots of walks and an altogether atmosphere of tranquility, most of the time. Children will be children. It has a reasonably priced cafe, ice cream van, on most occasions I've been and great coffee outlet available. There are toiletry facilities, but, like most parks these days the waste is recycled. Basically a hole in the floor, but don't let this off you off as you will be saving the planet. All in all a great park with lots to do, an entrance price of zero pounds. No excuse not to go.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Perfect place to come if you are after a peaceful walk or a quiet place to cycle. There is a free car park on the outskirts for about 25 cars or so. πŸ‘πŸ‘ Just a lovely place for a gentle walk. The site is split on both sides of the road, one side offering shady paths through the woods, the other more open.
