A very large reserve with ample car parking. Fabulous cafe with really great food. Ideal for visiting in poor weather as there are good paths, and also accessible for wheelchair users. The reserve is scenic and beautiful and there are a great array of species to see. The birds actually come right down to you in places! This is definitely a hidden gem in an otherwise unremarkable area, and I'll definitely be visiting again 😊❤️👍🏼

Interesting location to see how former industrial areas can be transformed for wildlife. Good cafe on site serving a range of food and drink. The site is well furnished with paths and only a short distance from the local train station.

Had a beautiful walk here, lovely winters' day with lots of sun. Nice selection of cakes in the cafe. Gift shop has a wide selection of gifts and amazing staff (true for the rest of the centre as well). I had a great time speaking to Jenny (I hope I read the name badge right!) who was so kind and told me to come back and say hi the next time I visit - which I look forward to already! Made my day. Definitely worth the visit, I look forward to coming in spring when there'll be more creatures to see 🔎.

Another beautiful walk this morning in the sunshine. However, some wildlife was unfortunately disturbed due to many of the dogs being off leads. The signs clearly state they should be on short leads. This was disappointing and most irresponsible by the dog owners. This needs action, I feel. Thank you 😊

Beautiful lakeland with lots of nature around you, lots of different walks around different lakes to choose from. The coffee shop is excellent, with a lovely outside area overlooking the lake. Plenty of car parking space with cheap parking £3 for the whole day, which is a bargain as the rest of the day is free, and I think the parking fee goes towards the up keep of the area.

Had a couple of hours there, had a snack in the cafe (a bit expensive) . The hides needed a code to enter which you scanned with your phone and filled all your details in. Car park costs £3 for the day.

Had a very nice toastie, but expensive. We also had a nice walk until about 15mins from the end when the path began to be stoney.

Nice cafe! A little slow if it’s busy but worth the wait and great view outside on the little terrace. Has local Beeston brownies, coffee, tea, bacon cobs and vegeterian sausage sandwich etc

Always like Attenborough - but it January ..... Grey cold and wet.....!!! Would be nice if the sun came out......!!!! It's a beautiful place to come for a walk in summer, and see all the wildlife , and grab a cup of coffee at the visitor cafe/ centre..

The scenery was amazing around the centre, there is a very nice gift shop with items for all ages. There’s a surprisingly large range of food and drinks. The 2 times I’ve been, the food is lovely. Staff also great. Highly recommend

Great place to walk or bike ride. The surroundings are beautiful and you can walk for hours without realising. The tourist centre is great for kids and you can buy food for the wildlife. It also has a lovely cafe with an amazing over the water balcony where you can sit and feed up after a beautiful walk

Wonderful place for walking and cycling with lots of flat paths. Nice cafe with a terrace where you can sit and look across the lake.

Wow what a walk, took all the paths and took 5 hours with a few short snack breaks. Loved the walk, really interesting and nice people. Be warned it can get busy but there is lots of room.

Great place. Lots of interesting and varying species to photograph (and sometimes to interact with). Wish the car parking was free but I guess they have to pay their bills. Not much vegan stuff but at least they don't charge extra for non dairy milk.

Three stars for the cafe, 5 stars for the reserve. I know they are volunteers, but why does it take so long to be served. Surely there should be two on the counter at all times, one taking the order while another makes the drinks. It's been like this forever. But I still enjoy going.

With a wonderful opportunity to see Britain's water habitat birds in their natural environment Attenborough Nature Reserve is brilliant. Walks through the area are well set out and managed. Seating is provided along the trails and you do not need to wander too far from the carpark to be in the peace and quiet. We always stop a while for a drink or light meal at the visitors centre where you can also purchase interesting and educational gifts and souvenirs. Highly recommended.

The walks are lovely, the main paths are tarmac so suitable for wheelchair and pushchairs. Some walks can take a few hours if you go down to the river trent. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the parking sign said charges from November... It didn't say it was last November so we got a lovely fine

Attenborough Nature Center is a beautiful place to visit. One gets lost in the nature. Beautiful fauna and flora attracts the young ones and seniors alike. It has several species of plants and birds. Beautiful lake filled with ducks gives a majestic look. It has places where one can sit and relax. The center also has a food centre where one gets variety of food as well as coffee and drinks. The center is not far from Nottingham. Ducks and swan comes very close to human beings. Its perfect place to bring children. One can also buy souvenirs, but they are rather expensive. Ideal place for bird watching. Go with good binoculars and camera.

I absolutely love this place. The art in the corridor gallery changes every calendar month. 30% commission to Notts Wildlife Trust on all sales.

👍 Beautiful park all year round. It just surprises me a park that big and so well attended does not offer one single toilet or baby changing facility.

👍👍 1st time visit. (Discovered on way to Ikea!!) Took the kids and dog. Car park is gravelled and clearly well maintained. There are signs at all entrance points showing the different walking routes available. Am unsure if accessible for wheelchair users due to the style of the gates at the exit points...

👍👍 Even on a sunny summer day, it has a dark and mystic presence. Rationality says that it is a geological feature, but the legends seem plausible when you're there. It is threatened by the saplings growing on it. Would the authorities please carefully cut them back to say one foot, scrape the bark...
